March 5, 20251 yr I’ve said the tampering has gone on all along. Agents aren’t supposed to discuss contracts with other teams until the official two day tampering window opens…exactly what the rules say. Otherwise there wouldn’t even be a two day tampering window for agents to speak with GMs. If it was always legal…why would you it even exist…and he a thing? It wouldn’t!
March 5, 20251 yr Not going to lie more then I thought Baun would get figured he would be closer to Patrick Queen- Milano range that 13-15m avg. guess not a huge difference and glad we made him a priority

But it’s not allowed according to the rules. Not allowed to negotiate with a player under contract with another team. Being the new league year hasn’t even begun yet…means all the players that haven’t been cut are under contract with another team. The rules even specifically created a ‘legal tampering period’ when GMs can negotiate with other teams players agents for two days before FA actually begins. Ham...there is contact between teams and agents all the time. It's legal. They are not going to request all conversations to be recorded, that's a violation of privacy. In the famous Giants video... their GM says..." word is Chicago is driving the price up and Philly is out" Chicago announced Swift signing less than 5 minutes after the legal announcement period started. Obviously the league knows thus, otherwise why would they broadcast this...lol. nobody cares at this point as all teams are talking to agents. But you cannot talk directly with a player, that is tampering. It's really not difficult to comprehend.

March 5, 20251 yr Curious to see what we do with Slay would not shock me to see us resign him to a 1 year deal that more team friendly image he won’t have a huge market at his age and him wanting to play for a contender

March 5, 20251 yr Go to Rosie’s press conference and the reporter asks him about Myles Garrett trade. He states the reporter should know better that he isn’t talking about any players under contract with other teams.
March 5, 20251 yr Rams gave permission for Matthew Stafford to talk with other teams. Why do that if his agent could just legally negotiate with all other teams all along?

They can announce deals 2 days before the league year starts. Idk. .how do you think reports come out that " this team is interested " " word is... meaning a lot of people know " Chicago is driving the price up.. Meaning .... a lot of people know Chicago is interested in Saquon ... and a lot of people know they are offering to pay a lot. Idk.. isn't it obvious " they all know and nobody is bothered by it"??? Why would the league allow this video and not once talk about investigating Chicago???

Eagles are willing to pay cash... they just make sure cap hits are low. That's really all that matters to them.
March 5, 20251 yr Been going on for years and years…way before the creation of the Legal Tampering window. Creating that just gave an actual reasoning for why this stuff was going on.

March 5, 20251 yr You can't talk directly to the player until Wednesday. Not even after a deal is announced. Cousins did... Barkley didn't
March 5, 20251 yr During the two-day period, all teams have the right to negotiate "all aspects of an NFL player contract" with the certified agent of an impending free agent. Figures can be exchanged on a deal, but nothing can be agreed to or announced before the start of free agency on Wednesday.(straight from NFL.com memo sent to media) Why would this ever be sent or occur if you were correct?

Again we look at contracts differently. You see the numbers and assume he is going to play here for 3 years and get $51 million. I know that isn't necessarily the case

If they always had that right this statement would never exist. The whole creation of a two day tampering period wouldn’t exist either.

But was more than you stated he’d ever get offered being his age and slight productivity so far in the league.
