April 3, 20251 yr ESPN analytics ranked the 15 most likely selections at 32nd overall for the Eagles, and Donovan Ezeiruaku was the NFL Draft pick for Philadelphia
April 3, 20251 yr Fangio confirmed the plan was to keep DeJean inside. "I really like him as the nickel. I’d like to see him stay at nickel. He plays it very well. He’s got good size in there. I think he enjoys playing in that position.“
April 3, 20251 yr With what feels like the plan is to run with Ringo as the third young CB….kind of limits options. Ringo is only an outside CB it feels like is my take watching him extensively for years. He has that great speed to recover. Has good reactions with enough size and strength to not be bullied by WRs. So he can work his leverages we’ll need from him in the D.
April 3, 20251 yr I’ve always viewed Ringo as this type CB. Not a shifty change of direction Slot type at all. But in the Cover 3,4….type need him to not get beat over the top responsibilities job….he should be great.
April 3, 20251 yr He’s plenty fast enough he shouldn’t need to give up the huge cushions laying way off his WR …even in Cover 4/Quarters. He should be very capable of challenging his guy outside while still not letting any of them run away from him.
April 3, 20251 yr Believing Ringo’s experience has him ready to be a reliable tackler going forward in his career also.
April 3, 20251 yr Anyway….Vic could have stayed because of team needs he’ll need to rely on DeJean’s versatility to play the Slot. But his answer was more enthusiastic. His answer was Coop loves the Slot and is an ideal fit there!
April 3, 20251 yr Fangio’s D mind just really fascinates me. I’d work for free for the guy just to learn. For an old timer….he isn’t stuck in many old timer ways of thinking about the Slot position of the D.
April 3, 20251 yr Decades and decades I grew up on devaluing the Slot position. On D and O. Always was that ba2t@rd stepchild Secondary defender.

Rosie’s scouting report himself Totally different QB and offense now. You want the same type TE you had back then? Different D also. DO we need to get players like Barwin back, would you do that? Last years team was better why would you want relive "the old days" when we couldn't break .500 ? What's he supposed to say "I got him because I like his shoes"? I would rather know what the TE coachs scouting report is, or the OC. We all read this article where he (Howie) loves everyone he got LOL(normal bias like I like the guys on my mock). His name is Howie not "rosie" and I mean the critical scouting report, not the "made for interviews" one Howie puts out. If he was so great why has no one ever heard of him?

It's like at TE same thing. You can bring in 500 guys at both spots, can anyone actually play the position and be effective? Quantity means little if they are all sub par. Need to find the guy that can actually PLAY

Prospect Projection: Day 2 — Winning Starter Sorry, not sold that he is the best option at 32. Doesn't matter what ESPN think like they nail this every year(LOL) Doesn't matter what I think either. Howie is the only one who matters ESPN is not very accurate it draft predictions(No one is really) It's the annual crapshoot

Really need to identify what any player can add to the team. If it’s ST and just be a few plays every other game at FB? That’s value. Gottta build a complete team. Having three RBs that are all similar doesn’t fill out team needs for every matchup. Having all the same type LB or S the same. Need specialists and guys that bring something else to the table.

I know, just asking how he knows, when this offense is all different that the old ways. You can't plug old way guys into new offenses. He should be taking guys that use similar offenses to what we have now,not comparing to guys we had 12 years ago
April 4, 20251 yr That’s why you, No Mas and a few here freaked out because I suggested not keeping Gainwell if Shipley appeared he’d obviously surpass him during the season. Have that short yardage physical back as the third RB. You both just couldn’t get past the thinking of just third best at the position should make the team. That really isn’t what’s needed. Especially the way the game has evolved. Need so many specialists. That fourth S needs to be good at deep coverage. Or zone ….or whatever you feel the starters weakness maybe is. The lesser overall player can be the better option.
April 4, 20251 yr Then when we get a matchup where we are struggling…like our S against their TE. Bringing in the second best overall S isn’t helping. But a S that can play ST, tackle and cover TE….
April 4, 20251 yr Last season at RB these were my thoughts. Needed that complimentary RB more than just third best overall. Many times back in the day that third guy was a scat back pass catcher. But now starting RBs have to catch. Saquan struggles powering through short yardage. FL you got so spoiled. You just kept demanding anybody bit Hurts get the TD stat.
