March 31, 20251 yr Author Really quick play recognition and reaction time. He would be brutal under Fangio. Him and DeJean would be awesome as a duo
March 31, 20251 yr Author Howie is excellent at keeping his thoughts close to the vest. This year is very difficult to guess what Howie does first. I'm sure he is looking at our board and deciding who he can trade with where. I just hope whoever he picks is an immediate impact guy. Starks would fill that bill, so I can't rule him out. Tough kid who loves to hit people LOL and Howie loves his Georgia players
March 31, 20251 yr Author Had this kid in for a visit. I think he was the only CB. I have him as a round 4 possibility. He kicked arse vs Miami. I may need to make another mock, this kid has a nose for the ball. With him and Starks,it's a shutdown secondary with Q and DeJean. Where do you throw with those 4???

You also have them all locked in for 3 more years
March 31, 20251 yr Author https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/2025-nfl-draft-james-pearce-jr-scouting-report/ar-AA1BGBub So here's a good reason to NOT take Pearce. He is similar to Huff and Fangio had no use for him either. SO for me, I will let him go out of my head and let some other team struggle with how to use him. Off my list even as a round 2 pick. We need to do better and he's the wrong guy for the job here

My favorite S is Kevin Winston Jr Penn St because he is a mid 3rd rd pick would be considered a 1st rd if not for injury. I like a lot of guys coming off injury Shavon Revel Jr CB East Carolina and I have a sleeper C Seth Mclaughlin Ohio St all top talents at their positions and probably 1st rd picks for the 2 and 2nd for Mclaughlin.Â

That's the trick of a mock, filling your needs with a limited amount guys. Letting the comp pick really means little as it just takes the best guy( A,B,C) without filling the needs of your team. I mentioned Seth earlier.Could be a nice 5 pick. NP letting him compete for the G spot. Howie likes C's to be G's. So show me a mock that's not a computer model. It's tougher than you think and make sure those guys will be around(or close) We know Howie moves for the guys he wants

Of course that's assuming they don't nuke themselves again which they did for 35 years while I lived in Ohio. You can't drink the water until you get the pigs out of the creek LOL. Of course some of that was also when the Browns shipped out at 3:15 AM for Baltimore

April 1, 20251 yr Author At any rate, doesn't matter who we like it's who Howie likes.. Unless Fangio is pounding the table with both fists for S or CB, I don't see it. Howie will take care of the lines(either side) with his first pick. I'm not sold on the G's we have,so for me I am still in the OT who can start at G camp and the guy we have a shot at is Conerly. I'm sure we take an edge and DT somewhere also. TE I'm not sure on. I would love to have a young guy,but we brought in so many maybe the guy we need is already on the team. The guy from the Raiders really wasn't asked to do much,so he needs to show out. We won't know that for awhile. We could still trade Goedert,so lots of moving parts here. We really haven't had alot of guys in for personal visits other then OT's. We had that CB in from Cal.I feel he is being under rated,so that could be a nice pick up for us. If TE is not something Howie feels we need, that changes the equation for me. Again IDK the inside info, but we have alot of TE's to sort through here already and we need to see if we trade Goedert,so that is kind of key for me as far as drafting another TE. So I have my S as our last pick- Malachi Moore from Bama. Love to have Starks or your guy, I'm just not feeling it this year. Time for the year 3 guys to step it up now. On my mock we could forego a TE for an edge or DT guy in round 2. Anything is possible

April 1, 20251 yr Author New mock-hold your excitement, I know you are thrilled(lmao) but grab a beer and enjoy this one. 1-32) Donovan Jackson- OSU-plays G and swing T. He should fall to us at 32.Immediate RG starter who has BU experience at LT. OK RG is fixed and we have a BU for Mailata 2-64) Princely Umanmielen-edge- Miss-he can work his way into the rotation without much problem 3-96) Charles Grant-OT-William and Mary-a guy that can sit behind Lane, he could use at least a year of that, year 2 he can be spotted in in garbage time or to spell Lane a few plays. Dude has all the tools to become great but needs top level staff to get him there. We have that  4-134) Nohl Williams-CB-Cal Really being under rated,so I will steal him right here  5-161-Malachi Moore-S-Bama  5-164-Jay Higgins-LB-Iowa  5-165-Jaydon Blue-RB-Texas  5-168. I found my round 5 WR 🙂-Donte Thornton-WR-Tenn-raw but he has the tools and he will grow fast 6'5 too(like a TE out of the lot spot) UDFA-Kalel Mullings-RB-Michigan or draft him if we pick up another late pick. We can sort through the TE's we brought in to see if one emerges from the pack,if not we can look next year even if Goedert gets traded, or use that pick on a TE. Al these guys are gettable where we pick and we have met with many
April 1, 20251 yr Author Remember he is a round 5. You can see flashes of talent. IMO he falls down too easily, so needs to hit that weight room to get those YAC's. A project, but seems like a worthwhile one. he can play slot of spell AJ on the outside

But also don't think that guy starts day 1. Â

Donovan Jackson seems like a guy that can start day 1(RG/swing T for OSU) They have camp and pre season to decide if the newbies can roll

I suppose if one fell into "steal" territory they could, or they forego that this year and wait to see if one of the bevy we brought in pans out. Going to be an interesting draft for me to watch

Still that G/T from OSU should be available at 32(or maybe a little later) Howie has NP making linemen sit and wait their turn as we know
April 1, 20251 yr Author I know teams are enamored with RB Blue. He is interesting, like a Sproles. I like Shipley, but the kid from Michigan would make a great RB 3 prospect. He could be the banger to replace Dillon(unless we really like Dillon). I hope we can grab the QB from ND as a UDFA but I think someone will take him. He is already better than the Thompson whatever from Cleveland. I don't see wasting a pick on him,but as a UDFA-all for it

Will take time to further develop, but we are in no rush. His route tree needs worked on. He has the speed to play outside if needed and a BU to AJ is a need we have and in time he fills that need
April 1, 20251 yr Author 4 minutes ago, DownwithDallas said: this is my 5th rd receiver. He reminds of AJ Â I had him in a earlier mock myself. NP if he is chosen, just more ceiling with Thornton because he's not as polished as Nash. Also not a tough league Nash plays in,Thornton plays against the big guns
