The same is true of authors and poets, and virtually all artists.

WHY? In music a maestro has hundreds of influences. If he only studied under one, he would simply be a clone, not a maestro. Hurts constant little "tips" from all his HC's and OC's are all coming together now as he puts his game together. You know all that stuff we were labeled haters for?

Hater because you weren’t realizing how much was coaching and scheme holding things back. Like all those barely fans blaming everything on the QB. You stated Hurts can’t throw over the middle. But never cared to actually just realize we utilized a two TE set with a blocking TE…or a three WR set with blocking WR in the Slot. Rosie just kept failing over and over to find another decent WR also. But let’s not let facts actually get in your way.

That is your opinion. Lots of people have a different opinion. That is what makes the world go round.

You treat football with the biases that come from worshiping at the altar of your beliefs. Try walking in someone else’s shoes for a change.

Exactly what we were talking about with Kupp. Something FL just can’t understand. Guy spent his whole NFL career in an elite O scheme under elite coaching. Versus Hurts struggling through all the changes being stuck in the NFLs worst scheme.

So excited for this S room. Just most stacked depth and options I’ve ever seen us have. Blankenship, Mukuba, Brown, McCollum…..Lewis Cine….even Sam.

You believe it was "holding things back”. Have you talked to Jalen about it? He has publicly said "sometimes you don’t have to use stuff until you need to use stuff.”

Hurts has never said he has struggled through the changes. He has clearly and unequivocally said he has learned from every step on the way.

You are arguing that plain vanilla ice cream is better than vanilla with chocolate chips, or vanilla fudge or French vanilla. Is your plain vanilla better than vanilla with fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries. Is your plain vanilla better than vanilla with crunchy toppings like chopped nuts, crushed cookies or granola? Sprinkles, and even a drizzle of peanut butter can also elevate a simple scoop of vanilla.

Some can be similar in the sporting arena. I mean I doubt seriously if Serena Williams had one coach her entire career. According to Ham, you should have ONE school teacher from Kindergarten until you get your college degree. I am a self taught bassist. Even at the top of my game(which took YEARS), as a musician, there was always something to learn from someone else. I also shared what I knew with others. There are always people better than you or with different styles to learn from. If you stop learning, you are already defeated. I could only go so far self taught, that's when the real learning started. If I had to guess I would say I learned from 30 others at LEAST. When I taught, I didn't want to teach them MY style. At first I would, then I would tell them to branch out and "see what you can do with this exercise I gave you. Interpret your OWN way"

Best Bassist of all time?

Hurts understood Siri didn’t have much X and O knowledge and wasn’t happy Siri was coming back after the third season.

I’ve seen Kip Winger live. Les Claypool and Flea I’ve been much more in awe of live though as bassist.

I met Kip when I knew Alice Cooper(Vincent) Way back when. Vince is an excellent golfer and has a very cool car collection. He lives in Paradise Valley,AZ. He and his wife are super nice people who give back huge to the community. He is nothing at all like his stage presence. Very down to earth

Very intelligent guy

I learned to play guitar from a bass guitarist toured opening up for so many huge bands back in the day. Such a small world. Really so almost could have been you. It was when I lived between Akron and Cleveland.

I was first chair all region tenor saxophone player…more so. Guitar was way too hard for me to ever really learn much of.

Love the Rage against the Machine bassist…but never seen him live unfortunately

Although I love a SB win any year, 2017 will be the SB that I will take with me when I die. SO memorable for me. In a super venue in FL with 400 other birdheads. My daughter came down from NC just to be with me for that game.(Pats fan) The airlines tried to boot her TWICE due to overbooking, but she refused to take no for an answer. The second over book was in Tampa(Raleigh to ATL to Tampa to Ft Myers). She forced the airline to book a private plane just for her and 1 other "overbook". She finally got there after the first 1/4. I was ecstatic. It was a great game. Loved the gut call "Philly Special". It was a group of less than stellar talent who overachieved with teamwork. Foles was fantastic down the stretch run. We gave Brady the ball with time left, the venue was all STONE COLD QUIET, because Brady always pulled the clutch games out. When the strip sack happened, we all just stood there silent UNTIL one guy jumped on a bar stool(takes talent there lol) and screamed "we're gonna win this!!!" Then the insane party started. The owner made it free drinks for everyone. A super fun night I will never forget

Agreed, although I want to hear the words "we can't cut MJ at this time" HAHAHA. But he should hang out on the PS a year if Dillon is solid(hope he doesn't get poached). I'm looking forward to seeing him play in preseason. They seem to really love Avery, but I really can't say why. I trust that they know more than me. Gray seems like he finally showed up this year, should be a solid BU for us. Nice safety battle with the young guys stepping up. We all screamed we wanted to get younger and Howie did it. We have a very nice multiple year window to be excellent. I will enjoy the first 5 weeks of tough games. If we win 4/5 of those, we're going to be hard to take down AGAIN. The green blood pumps through my veins

I gotta be honest... like that other poster said..." roster ignorance " that's me. No clue who you mean by MJ. Michael Jackson...Michael Jordan...Spider-Man's girlfriend?

Some others I forgot I liked were John Paul Jones and McCartney. I learned alot from them all(not personally just emulating their styles). I got to work with some nice bands. The Eagles, Rush, Triumph, Aldo Nova, Eric Carmen, MSB. Aerosmith were all friends. I met them when they played my HS before they got famous. Wild Cherry were friends(and they told us we did their song better than they did) and I dated Chrissie Hynde for a short time when we were just "young pups" before she went to Europe and became the Pretenders. I got to spend a weekend with Meatloaf and the band at a friends apartment/condo. I was very fortunate to be around so much talent. Pity mine was wasted. Oh well. sorry for the off topic ranting of an old man, back to football again LOL

You haven’t mentioned my all time favorite, Jack Bruce. Of course Jack Pastorius and Charles Mingus have to be on any best bassists list too.
