So(back to the KO rules). How the hell does the league handle this because it's a 'trial run". teams will have to alter the players they have/had for ST's to different ones. So say you cut some guys to find better ones for THIS year. Then they decide to go back to the old rules, but then the players you cut loose could be hired elsewhere. i really don't think they thought all this out at all. Now if you had to go back to the old way, you'd have to go get all those players you changed out. When you put "smart guys" in a room it's like turning your 3 year old loose unattended in your kitchen with all the doors open. Expect a mess  and they sure delivered on that 🤣

They looked at Belicheat and decided they didn't want him. This is gargantuan news?? The Eagles org always turns over every rock,so they can make informed decisions. Why do you TMZ every run of the mill piece of "news" from "a source"? Who was the source, the secretary serving coffee???. Teams do tend to scout around when you go 10-1 then lose 6 of your last 7 while on your way to pilfering a SB appearance

No…teams tend to fire HC that lose their team like that.

He wants to throw in the towel, breach contracts, and raise the white flag because we DARED to see if Bellicheat could take this team to a SB over Siri. They decided he could not. he(Bellicheat) was also rebuffed in Atlanta. I DO wish Siri would grow a set at times, but laid back is just his style. Losing DOM on the sidelines should not have affected him like it did and Siri needs to grow up not hold onto Doms apron strings on the sideline

Forget Belicheck  ...why wasn't he hired across the league.  His time is done.   Stop with TMZ.... it's the job of the front office to have conversations.   At least the good ones put in the work.

Back to reality.

Kinda like 2020.

It’s different if you fired the HC then conduct interviews. They interviewed Bellicheat while Siri was still our HC. That’s noteworthy…and very telling.

They spoke with Belicheck... wow, shocking?  Lurie is a Boston guy...the model of how they did a lot of things contract wise, and some roster stuff has been modeled after NE style.

You think it takes a full interview to get to where Belicheck wants full control?

You get that in the first minute... but you would be stupid not to pick his brain while you have him.

We made the playoffs 3 years in a row???? Hurts lost the team

Especially defensively.   Which I absolutely think was main motivation for a conversation.

Define "stud" player. And how many years do they take to develop? Was Kelce(stud) a round 1 player? Some drafts have CRAP talent. Just because one guy is ranked over another on those doesn't make them studs. College studs can fail miserably in the NFL,we see it all the time. Stud players can also have EGOS that screw up the entire team,so use that word carefully

You have to rank the prospects well or you are screwed anyway. Different tiers on your board. Top 5 on your big board…better be a stud player.

Why would you fire someone without knowing who you are replacing them with during the season?? They interviewed Bellicheat to see if they thought he would be better for the team. Why would they lose Siri until they found that out?

Laid back is not the style anybody else describes Siri as

it tells Siri(or should) he needs to get on the stick and bring home the Lombardi

The media is hilarious.... really talking bad about his demeanor/ leadership evolution.   The former players are mentioning it...which to me makes it food for thought,  too many nerdy know it all hosts thar I don't pay attention to,  but I like the former player perspective.  We got Ike Reese, Hugh Douglas and Jon Ritchie on the radio with Barrett Brooks on TV.   Their opinion are ones I pay attention to.

But why just 5?

It's how I describe him because I want to. He doesn't throw things or get upset much and relies on a security head to make him comfy. Pretty wimpy actually

If we cancelled Barks contract/promise of same, no player would ever want to play here again(and with good reason)

Nobody ever talked about canceling Saquan’s contract. The point would be never doing it in the first place because this is the judgement on the state of the team. Decided to make the signing..IN THE FIRST PLACE…that’s what I’m discussing. Do..or do not. Do: sign a top dollar vet RB to contend for a title. Don’t: if you aren’t in a position to be a real contender..skip the top dollar vet RB signing.

Who were the first 5 picks the year we took Lane at 4?   You trading up for ALL of them?

Define "stud"

You sign a guy for 3 years...to play for 3 years.

Your one year deal ...if you spend a lot...that's your all in.

Like Tony Pollard last year... that's all in at 10.7 mil.   What is Barkley's cap hit this year?

Rosie lost the 2017 team…totally different. Pedey didn’t lose anything. Injuries, cap and personnel were problems.

Yes....again.... why not talk to a dude that won 6 SBs to pick his brain?

Isn't the idea of Lurie to gather all information he can?    A dude like Belicheck can offer a lot.

So if we are going all down this rabbit hole I probably reconsider trading up to top ten. Clearly don’t fork over for Barkley. I clear cap.

You certainly are because we already signed Barkley. That is breach of contract and you would also "reconsider" moving up for a player you want. That is stupid and ridiculous

Pollard was All In and they were vetting him. Wisely used that to figure out he wasn’t the guy. Saquans a much more all in move.

3 years later... 2020.

The players from last year seem to like Siri. ...Cox and Kelce were especially passionate about the fact.   Even Hurts....he showed the most emotion ( not saying much though) when asking "I didn't know his job is in question?"
