Maybe that's why his guys were a little upset with him last year... he didn't do good enough job as a GM? Hurts clearly didn’t have us in great draft positioning. So far from the first pick.

Not completely out of the question but seems like a hard sell Personally I want one of the top two CBs with a trade up. Sweat they didn’t make some long term commitment to. BG very celebrated this is his farewell season. But my opinion is based on what Rosie would do over what I would do. I wouldn’t trade up or take a pass rusher in the first round of this draft. But very first initial thought of Rosie trading up: pass rusher.
April 22, 20242 yr Especially when on the flip side strong case round 1 OL pick is starting day 1. Whether that be at C, RG or LG(though this shouldn’t be an option at all) but did see an interview where they ask Dickerson about the possibility of moving to C awhile back
April 22, 20242 yr But we were so utterly disgusting is pass coverage last season. Really take it back to that SB even. So every other NFL franchise would circle the need to draft a Db after fielding the 31st ranked pass coverage. Yet Rosie has always answered with a pass rusher to fix those problems.
April 22, 20242 yr Gotta remember Kirk Cousins tampering. They have the Falcons nailed on that happening. About to find out what that price is to be paid by them. ATL has no defense or chance to create grey area here. It happened and was already publicly admitted.

So is mine lineman and OL makes more sense we lost a starter and we can plug a guy in day 1 that should start right away and make an impact. Plus drafting a round 1 pass rusher could be Howie saying Nolan is a bust which seems unlikely after 1 year

The thought just seems so dumb. No way!

Talking about how coaches need to play his young draft picks more. Talked about how so very clearly Smith performed fantastic once he got on the field at the end. Rosie thinking totally opposite here.

April 22, 20242 yr I’ve just assumed Oline was the pick. Not a need though. Took Steen in the third just last draft as that T that could be our RG. Jurgens held off any competition year one.

Dream scenario we have going on the left side there.

Steen is a 3rd rounder yet you think it’s more likely we just go pass rusher when we just laid top dollar for Huff, kept Sweat even if it’s for a year, got BG on his farewell tour and just invested in Nolan last year. But clearly we wouldn’t want to take an OL to go over a 3rd rounder???? Much rather replace our 1st round guy

April 22, 20242 yr Even feels more like Howie is admitting Smith was a mistake if you trade up for another round 1 pass rusher after just paying for Huff

That just seems way more unlikely to me IDK could be a security type move, to make sure our pass rush is there which was visibly missing last year. I'm just still thinking there are plenty of guys in round 2(OT,G whatever) that can be fine RG starters,so making a move UP would mean we would REALLY need to like the guy. DeJean would be a sure thing in the secondary. Howie would have to break tradition to do it and he was the only top DB we had a visit with. The round 2 DB's would be more of a crap shoot IMO
April 22, 20242 yr Author So there's the choice TOP DB and a fine starting RG (excluding Latu here) or you take the top RG and more of a crap shoot pick at CB,but as I am uneducated, you can't listen to me

Drafting another pass rusher round 1 especially trading up for the guy is saying something. I mean somebody would have to take a back seat. Does Latu redshirt essentially year 1? Does Nolan go another year with no snaps? I mean i know fans opinions don’t matter but can’t feel good about having 1 or possibly even two 1st round pass rushers barely seeing the field especially if we trade up for one this year

Would also allow us to look and deal Bradberry

Seems like most of the league has been swooning over Latu's ability. It's his medicals that are the issue. if those were gone(maybe they are) he would be a top 10 pick. And we DID have him in for a visit also
