He usually responds well after these types of bad performances. Pittsburgh last year was probably his best game of the season after that debacle vs Carolina. So how many times have we run this play this season?

But I don’t really value much he has to say either. Wasn’t a good player. Not a player that can transition to coaching with his knowledge. A LB that wasn’t good at reading what was going on as a player….talking about breaking down offense? Sure…AJ got open…late. Didn’t Hurts look at him well before this? Then moved on to another target. That’s the first time in the history of football a QB moved on from a target before he finally got open.
Yesterday at 05:41 AM1 day Now AJ. Does anybody think he’s as fast as he’s previously been this season? Nobody…what I thought. So what do you reply about that No Mas? AJ lost a step which took him too long to get there. Hurts had already moved on because it took AJ that extra second. Let’s face reality and facts.

Take the clips before Hurts moved on to look to the left. Let’s actually talk about the whole thing instead of you cherry picking a screenshot of how AJ finally got open too late. How open and ready was AJ to be targeted open on that route…before your screenshot that’s already after Hurts moved on because AJ wasn’t there…facing a blitz.

Even your screenshot AJ created his biggest separation immediately after his cut in the route. Defender still right on him. Why don’t you name this legendary Giants DB AJ really couldn’t beat…or took way too long to gain leverage. Did Weapon X come out of retirement? Or is it Jalen Ramsey?
Yesterday at 05:50 AM1 day You do understand the concept of facing the blitz speeds up the clock. You’d crucify Hurts if he just held the ball and took the sack.

So basically you are saying Patullo is telling Hurts not to throw to a wide open guy? Seriously? A leader takes the TD,then you can argue about it on the sideline while they add 7 to your score

Yesterday at 11:44 AM1 day 5 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:A leader throws the ball to AJYou can’t when the HC won’t allow it…because it’s too risky to score tons of points throwing to such an elite WR. That literally was Siri ‘brilliance’ O strategy last season…can’t even make something like that up.
Yesterday at 11:44 AM1 day 5 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:And why can't Hurts hit the guy coming open giving him a solid window? From what I’ve seen Hurts throws an incredibly accurate and supremely catchable ball.
Yesterday at 11:50 AM1 day 5 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:A sidestep gives you that second back. C'mon now. Stop the excuses, Hurts should have hit AJ in stride right hereSidestep where? They had a full blitz coming with their strategy of maintaining lanes to not let Hurts escape. Left or right wasn’t better than staying in that pocket. AJ lost a step. Not sure how this is glaringly obvious. Took him too long with the blitz coming. Not like he even really got open either. You loved going along with Siri preaching avoid the interceptions at all cost. Well…I’d say that throw to AJ was just going to be a 50/50 ball. Far from protecting against throwing an interception. That screenshot of AJ happens way after Hurts had to move on to other reads. Sure in hindsight…you could point towards that Hurts probably had that extra second to hold on to the ball facing that blitz to just wait wait wait on AJ. But pretty much QB job is to not hold on to the ball forever against a blitz.

Even with that…haven’t been doing much of any of this since the SB. There are obvious drawbacks from going so ultra conservative and not getting in so much of the passing game. Our guys aren’t on the same page. How many players have flat out stated exactly that is going on?
Yesterday at 12:01 PM1 day Couldn’t understand anybody thinking we remotely came out of TC nearly where a team would need to be. Then hold back ironing out and developing our passing game for this season so much first couple of games. Starters didn’t play in the PS. Heck AJ didn’t really do anything before week one even arrived. So when are our guys going to develop and work these things out? That was exactly what’s going on. Then add in how Siri telegraphs it’s a pass presnap. Abandoned the run…for no reason I can even try to spin.
Yesterday at 12:03 PM1 day Siri going to stick to the running game so heavy every game. That’s when the rushing attack stinks with Barkley gaining 2 yards a carry. Then when our rushing attack producing at its best of the season? Completely stop and only pass pass pass.

It’s practically moronic coaching….with me adding the practically to be kinder.
Yesterday at 12:06 PM1 day But I’m fine with working as much out as possible earlier the better. Develop and grow the teams capabilities to be at their best by seasons end. I’d rather take chances with getting served up a few lumps …but have what we need to survive and advance come the postseason.

He pointed out very clearly where a good QB can't miss Smith or AJ in those situations. The conversation was where it was proof that Hurts isn't elite as a passer. It is what it is... I think people forget that nobody plays well every game in the NFL. Every QB struggles at some point.Of course our passing O isn’t mastered and polished at the first live action attempts with a new OC.
