THIS DEFENSE IS A BAD BLITZING TEAM.

I really like Baun a LOT. But every time he blitzes, the opponent gets a first down and Baun gets blocked. Or whoever blitzes, they get blocked. 3rd and 10+….Eagles blitz; opponent gains a first down. Brutal! Again, I’m a big fan of Baun. He’s just not a good blitzer…or this defense is not a good blitzing team in general.

Refs had a bad week….throughout the league…today.

It will be interesting to see what the shotgun vs. under center proportions are and how successful each of those two cohorts were. Toth playing center might be forcing more under center snaps, which could be helping.

The running game worked. Perhaps he is our new center,Cam to RG?

Hurts... 20 pass attempts. Yet again another offensive excellent result when Hurts throws below 25 times.

When the formula works, you keep using it.

Last year the complaints about the 1st quarter offense.... how about it this year?

They are clearly holding us back Hurts carried us raised the team above the terrible O minds

With all the injuries especially on the OL Dickerson/Jurgens not being 100% to start the year, Lane getting banged up early on top of a first time play caller just finding ways to win was key and we are sitting at 6-2 going into our bye.

Think Patullo has shown glimpses early in the year. Obviously supper successful in the RZ. And now stringing together two good performances entering the bye promising signs this team might finally turn the corner and be a strong offense 2nd part of the season.

Really scary for the league of the ground game comes back strong 6-2 and we have only had 1 strong performance from the ground game and it was this week….

we have to let it all play out.

Toth doesn’t have the physicality to be a regular starter, or even to be a passable Guard. With yesterday’s game, I believe he has settled into a productive and appropriate role … backup Center. And his limitations in that role (not very good shotgun snaps) may be a blessing in disguise. Specifically, I believe the game plan skewed toward more under center snaps yesterday in large part due to Toth’s limitations. As a result we got more play action and running plays that were less easy for thE Defense to decipher.

Ok, you seem to keep bringing up snaps and shotgun. Did you watch the game? How many bad snaps did you see?

Game wasn’t on on the West Coast. My comment was based on past Toth games, where his snaps have been erratic. I don’t rule out the possibility that he may have improved his shotgun snapping through reps. One of Toth’s greatest strengths is his intelligence and dedication to his craft. If you saw no bad shotgun snaps yesterday, I am delighted.

And he did it without AJ

But it was a formula that worked. Just a reminder that Kelce was "too small" to be a C and he made a career out of proving everyone wrong Toth was pressed into service with little training on how to be a C. Like telling a pianist they are playing Oboe in the next concert. How good can they be in 10 days? If they practiced they would get better? Maybe we found something workable. But either way Toth did a nice job on short notice

Actually Toth weighs 1 pound MORE than Cam as shown on the roster and maybe it's coincidence, but we got our ground game back this week(or maybe there is more to this) I won't speculate, but it seems noteworthy to me

I don’t think Toth lacks the physicality for Center. It is at Guard where I find him lacking.

BTW, here’s what Tommy Lawlor had to say about the game on IgglesBlitz.com … "Kevin Patullo did a good job with the runs he called. With his changes and improved OL play, the run game could be headed in the right direction, and that would be huge for the rest of the season. You need impact plays from Barkley and the other RBs. The Eagles got them today.”

If there ever was a graphic that tells a story, the one below is it …

Ham, the key to winning football isn’t what you have been telling us over and over and over and over again. It has nothing to do with the quality of your OC. It isn’t about your beefs with Sirianni. What it is is, Take care of the ball and you consistently win football games

From another thread …

"AJ isn't asking for or speaking of a trade. The team isn't speaking vaguely of him re: trade rumors. He said, Philly was his home. He doesn't want to be traded. Jalen and his relationship may have changed (now that Jalen is married and has his own family). That portion is just guessing. I don't like the narrative that his tweeting is being disruptive to the team. That it's the reason for trade rumors. The trade rumors are media driven. The players all said in unison, their play and scheme sucked. He wants to contribute; he wants to dominate his opponent. Him tweeting his frustrations shouldn't equate to disgruntled.”

The Jordan Davis haters haven’t been watching the games this season. Davis has been on the field for 64% of the team's 523 Defensive snaps, as well as a significant number of Special Teams snaps. He has multiple sacks, key TFLs, a blocked FG. What more do people want?

Nick Sirianni is now 54 and 22 in the regular season as Eagles head coach. He has the third highest winning percentage in NFL history behind John Madden and George Allen, minimum 50 games coached. Nick tied Dick Vermeil for the third most wins in Eagles history Siri sucks 🤣
