I have caught a few games on ESPN this year (Oaklahoma State, Baylor) where he showed some run blocking skills and ability to find zone sceme holes for alternate targets. He seemed to be a bigger contributer last year, before they picked uo some new WRs.

You can probably find some good highlights by simply googling him. He wears #11. Good size, similar to Dallas Goedart.

They don't seem to be teaching them much of that in college either as most are simply "big" WR weapons for most teams. Keep watching the cincy games and after the season ends maybe you can fill in some of the blanks about Royer. Some places have Royer in round 2,others in round 5,so obviously there is alot of confusion about him right now. It's too early anyhow, but I did notice he would seem to fit our style. One place said he "runs with anger" which I would love to see for myself. OSU consistently turns out awesome WR's so the TE's don't get the action others do

FYI, during Baylor game, Rucker played inline and WRs were main targets. In prior games and highlights, he appears to play a classic TE style of play, with good speed and aggressive running style.

Overall, the Bearcats are ranked #25 at present.

The scouts say he is an immediate starting RG that with polish and coaching could end up as a RT replacement for Lane. Sounds to me this is a kid you invest in for a decade, so I am going to pencil him in as the 1 and now need to look at round 3 CB's. But mark my words the TE Wright is going to fly up boards. I'm only working the 1,2,3,3 selections, Need to see if any of those guys we just traded will pan out. That starts Monday, but Dunker is my TE of choice until he isnt. I need to see how far he moves up. Fun days ahead

Justin Simmons is still a FA, unreal.

I didn’t write a full Hurts review last offseason, so this serves as a comparison to my last detailed evaluation of Hurts as a player, which was my 2024 article reviewing his 2023 season. That piece concluded that Hurts was still an excellent quarterback, let down by a poorly designed offense. Two years later, the context feels a little bit different. The offense has been inconsistent (which might be a bit generous), but Hurts seems to have risen above it.

I've had my eye on him for awhile now...like him alot.

I feel late 1st round might be a slight reach, but I really think his personality is a perfect fit for the Eagles OL clubhouse gang.

What were you leaning towards in round #2?

Depends on if we found a coherent CB2 or not. If we can't put it off another year then CB would seem the logical choice. If we went CB first I like Colton Hood from Tennessee Pick your order CB, Oline, TE, edge in any order. We could actually use a rook RT AND RG. Need that right side going forward. Lane is not going to last forever. I would have NP luring Becton back at RG

Yes G/T.SO guys I am watching- Hood-CB Tennesse, Dunker G/T-Iowa , Daquon Wright-TE- Ole Miss , Royer-TE-Cincy ,Jake Slaughter-C-FL(maybe as a RG with a C BU role), Romello Height-edge-Texas Tech, Malachi Fields-WR-ND as a round 3. I really love Daruis Cooper if he can show he can remain upright. Kid tries so hard. Howie picks up FA WR's as trade pieces. The failure of my boy ASMith was just that a sad failure, I expected so much more from him.But I think we are ok in the slot for now. Nothing wrong with Dotson-re-sign? Like Lane, AJ won't last forever. Like to find a kid that has all the tools but needs coaching. That way we don't need a high pick to start immediately, but one who can work his way into AJ's role. Ham better at finding D guys then I am, but I still stick my nose in to peek at them LOL

DW)TE ole miss) is growing on me fairly quickly. I just think he fits what we do so well

Do you mean RT (Johnson successor) and LG (Dickerson successor)? Steen is a young RG.

We may already have both in house already … Hinton and Williams.
