Drew Allar really is a fascinating talent he is only 21 has all the arm talent in the world but then he just hasn’t ever been able to put it all together in games. Can a coach like Mannion unlock that talent if we drafted him?(along with the other 3 former QBs that will likely aid in the QBs development).

Allar was the first QB I picked out. His injury dropped him out of the round 1 convo and his footwork needs help but he can rifle a pass for sure. Like this kid alot!

I personally think he would or Crosby for AJ(lol) and keep the 23 for Boston

Think Siri bigger issue is he caters to much to QB1 not forcing him out of his comfort zone.

Hurts doesn’t want to run who stop running him

Hurts doesn’t like throwing over the middle we don’t pass over the middle

Hurts doesn’t like motion we don’t use it

Hurts is mediocre, but to Ham he is the second coming

Allar would need to be an early pick, round 2(54) if you really want to secure him. I don't think he makes it out of round 2. Hurts was also a round 2 pick, but taking him would tell Hurts he's done in Philly

FO and Hurts are at a crossroads want to say this is his last season of guaranteed money so likely he looking for an extension. FO is likely wondering is he the guy to pay he hasn’t shown much of anything as a passer and now seems to have an unwillingness to run.

Would not be surprised if we took a QB day 2 even as high as round 2

The AJ trade talks really heating up curious to see if Howie sticks to his guns I honestly think he will the trade offer going to have to blow him away to let him go…. It’s something like what 70m dead money if we trade him before June 1st.

Wouldn’t shock me if Howie sticks to wanting a 1st and a 2nd rounder or a 2nd and high value player…. 2nd & Olave or 2nd & Sutton possibly???

Not even remotely the price we need to unload that toxic nonEagles. Recipe for disaster…oh wait…already happened…so guess I mean AGAIN!

Hurts is the one that covered for Rosie failure to get that other WR by bringing in AJ. But Rosie showed failure again by throwing all that money at AJ after he already knew the fallout has happened. Then Rosie failed yet again by not trading AJ last season.

as a psu fan this idea both excites me and gives me pause. while allar does have some obvious talent, he also has a knack for game killing turnovers in the most inopportune times.

his biggest issue is upstairs but maybe you're right, maybe mannion & company could coach him up.

i dont think there's any chance he goes before the 4th round.

Really comes down to if we believe we can unlock his full potential…. Obviously physical talent is all there but he hasn’t put it all together on the field.

It’s a gamble but it’s also why he isn’t a sure fire 1st round pick either he if didn’t have the questions he likely be in the mix for #1 pick with his physical talents alone

Because of the QB you said brought him to Philly sounds like the issue is QB1 not Howie or AJ

if he is there in the 4th round, i'd take a shot at him.

I don’t think Howie and the FO even wants to trade AJ especially when they aren’t even sure about Hurts future with the team. Trading away a top 5 WR to cater to a QB that might be gone after next season?

The offer going to have to be great to get AJ

Think the Eagles draft a QB day 2 who that is not sure but that is my guess

1st round- think OL not sure who but best OT I could see here

2nd round- Eli Stowers or another TE just feels like the right spot for a TE

3rd round 68 pick- could see a QB here Allar possibly if still available he apparently a riser after a good showing at the combine.

3rd- DB possibly here

Think they are giving Hurts every opportunity to succeed but yea can see it as having guys in place for the next rookie QB as well be it a guy we draft this season or next if Hurts doesn’t cut it this season

💯...they need to know about Hurts before the next guaranteed money gets paid.

Or Howie doesn’t want to trade AJ and is only going to if the offer blows him away which is far more likely option.

AJ is arguably a top 5 WR in the NFL right now

Also...if Hurts is the issue ...which we know he is or there would be no issue once Patullo left right??? So you keep AJ for the next QB.

That's the organizational issue for sure. One more year

A rookie DB eating up Smitty because of the lame predictable O we run. How else does that happen?

A late QB I like is Taylen Green from Arkansas. A rough nugget to be sure

He looked great at the combine, if he stays that good on pro day I dont see him falling out of 2.Team like the Saints would snap him up

Hurts fault though of course
