No doubt…just Wentz. Mariota. Shew. Guys that are not mentors.

Guys that didn't have a ton of experience. He has never had anyone with experience. How much experience did those guys have?

You realize Hurts is going into year 7. Think about it... where were ...Wentz. Mariota and Shew at those points in their careers??

Wentz....was in year 5

Mariota was year 9...74 starts... which is less than 5 seasons...how many important games though?

Shew... was in year 3 and 4... had 20 starts

Daulton was drafted 2011... lots of starts ..lots of experience. Starter/ backup... some big games...etc. Much different.

This is what I’m trying to gauge. I just don’t see Tanner trade value at anything much worth anything.

So we keep him and don't talk about it...maybe good idea?

Whole roster to put together. So our backup QB could go towards getting that Edge or completely other position.

Or be the quality backup up QB....that's a position.

A cheap quality player under contract makes no sense?

So you would be fine giving up McKee for some mid round draft pick? I don't see any point in it. As far as Dalton, I think he is here to raise McKees play level unless you think Dalton would be the 2 which I do not, because McKee is not going to learn anything from Hurts

Joe is saying there's nothing wrong with keeping McKee. He's a quality BU and cheap. I agree. He stays.

McKee is a cheap player under contract. Why trade him?

The FO has given themselves flexibility with the Dalton trade. Doesn’t mean we will trade McKee but now if a great offer comes up they can trade him.

And again I think Howie highly values McKee he isn’t going to give him away for some day 3 picks. It’s likely to be something in 2027 probably a 2nd rounder or a conditional 3rd(that can turn into a 2nd)

Right,I thought you meant keep Dalton, you had me worried

What to do with Elliott. He went from "money" right to untrustworthy

Both here for one year left on their contract.... both cheap. No reason to trade either.

I saw an article regarding the Jets looking for a QB... 3 guys mentioned including McKee....all 3 teams were said to ask for a 2nd round pick and the Jets apparently didn't want to do it for any of them

They reworked his contract to guarantee him more..extend him i believe...but also made the dead money less???

Still think Dalton is here mainly to help McKee develop faster. Nothing Hurts can do to help McKee as a QB

Wouldn't McKee be trade ammo?

That’s exactly what I’ve been discussing

Thought I was agreeing with you

Sure…not just one narrow only path possible. Who do we have as trade bait? Carter, Q, DeJean, Mailata…I wouldn’t trade.

Could someone explain why the headcases always seem to be WRs?

Why do we need trade bait at all? Howie builds through the draft and has been doing that successfully. Let our guys stand and let an "I can't refuse this" offer come in. No need to put our guys out on the trade block. Let the trades come to Howie

I tried, but no one listened when I tossed up red flags about AJ. I'm not as dumb as some make me out to be. Not all of them are like that, but you need to recognize the ones that are and know what to do. Patullo figured that out, but too late to stop things. Not sure if we can reconcile with AJ or if the decision has already come down. Maybe Mannion can talk to him IDK. Some DB's are also flighty like this. Both positions are the higher skill positions. Hurts is also partially to blame(sorry but he is)

S is going to be interesting position to watch do we add another S during the draft? Are we looking at a 3 man competition between Epps/Carter II/ Gray for the starting job beside Mukuba?

Does Dejean get reps at S during base D? I know we are already ever in base D but when we are find it hard to believe we want to take Dejean off the field

Why do you need to trade. To get trade ammo? Isn't that just spinning wheels?

Talking about what assets do we have to get what we desire? Move up in the draft or to trade for a player. Simple obvious basic stuff here.
