Gave up WAYYYYY too much for a WR2. Just keep AJ Brown, a PRO BOWL WR! Oh well.

We will get back more trading AJ…in next year’s much stronger very coveted draft class. It’s well known league wide teams don’t want to give away next years draft picks during this lackluster draft class.

I love Smith, but he is also pretty small like this kid. Better have an OC that can scheme guys open..or Hurts is going to really suck this coming year.

He is fantastic at getting open. It’s his strength. But yeah…actually having an O mind that can take advantage of matchups? Just salivating over! Which is so very sad it’s come to that. But man..what a difference that should make.

No matter, with all the WR's through rounds 3-4 this was a totally WASTED pick and we enhanced Dallas to boot. That's worse than Reagor IMO. Steelers jumped right on Iheanachor(as they should have)

You realize Steelers weed talking to Lemon first, right? This comment probably was before it became known. So just aged incredibly poorly. The usual!

Heck of a pick. Dude is a football player. The main key element that always seems to transfer well. I can pick out so many reasons why this was a fantastic pick.

How about pointing out how he’s an excellent Zone buster? Wasn’t that arguably our biggest missing piece? We all know you blame Hurts for that 100 percent. Now we finally got a quality Slot zone beater WR. Let’s see if Hurts improves against Zone and producing from the Slot. This is going to hurt you…so baddddd…you endlessly labeled Hurts can’t throw to the Slot and struggled against Zone. Let’s see if quality of Slot player equates to more production from that position. Hahaha like taking candy from a baby.

Hurts canNOT throw over the middle….see the FIVE interceptions vs the Chargers. He canNOT throw a guy open. He only throws WHEN he can see the guy is WIDE open. Yes, I am exaggerating….but making a point. Hurts is limited as a passer. If he refuses to stress a defense with his legs, he is BELOW average as a QB. That being said, stellar NFL QBs are hard to find. I like Hurts. I do get frustrated with him at times.

This…whatever spat between he and AJ is dumb…whiny by both of them. Running him out of town is dumb. For some reason, it made the organization feel compelled to "trade up” to replace him….which they did not do with lemon. Hurts is going to see quickly Lemon is NOT AJ. It is what it is.

Very disappointed in Howie. The "on a roll" has ended. I wish I could see the Steelers war room, another "OH YEAH" like they did in the Vikes war room when we blew the JJ pick

Ouch…Steelers thought Lemon was theirs. Man…you are very constantly wrong.

Just a horrible use of assets now enhancing Dullaz as well. WTH was he thinking? Must be kowtowing to Mannion, but this sure makes AJ pack his bags TONIGHT

Sure…it was the Lemon pick forcing AJ out. No idea what player you are on….such denial over obviously glaring details.

Don’t think this is the case at all Lemon seems

To have been on the short list of players our FO valued enough to trade up for again Lemon was regarded as the 2nd best WR in the class some argue he was the best.

Lemon plays a lot like Puka or Amon Ra St Brown guys that are perfect fits for the system Mannion likely wants to use.

I don’t think this is a strength of Hurts but I also think this is a make or break year for Hurts as well… he either going to adapt and play well or be the same and gone.

We made our selection at 68 seems like we are done for today then…. Long wait until our next selection on day 3 at 178

So…the pick at 68…..

Could be last year for him too

Last year on that contract, sure he’s been setup to fail under Siri from the get go. Would be catastrophic to lose Hurts. Completely wasted our best shot running an Eagles Dynasty. I wonder who predicted exactly that occurring a long time ago? Siri…geez…told you we should fire him and promote Moore. Stated that in the offseason right after Moore was hired. But noooooo….Siri took the best opportunity to lure a top OC candidate to actually except working with him….promoted Patullo. Fire-able bad call levels in my mind. That was all Siri. I never believed Rosie or Lurie believed it was a good call and would workout. But can’t fire the HC just won the SB.

Draft Bell out of Miami definitely seems like our type of OT 6’9 massive guy 87 inch wing span…. Didn’t give up a sack last year for Miami

We honestly have two really interesting OT now Bell seems to have all the traits and we drafted Texas OT Williams last year who also seems to have all the physical traits just curious if we can actually develop either of them in time to take Lane spot

All in all not a terrible 2 days of the draft so far.

WR, TE,OT and edge

JMO we needed a possession guy like over 6"2". Now Hurts can't toss up a jumper. 5'11" is coverable by aby decent CB,they are bout the same size. This kid offers no advantages

He’s actually great at contested catches. Hurts throws such a fantastic catchable jump ball. How tall are the DBs guarding him? Then how solid is the makeup of those DBs? Believe Lemon can play outside as well as the Slot. But figure he’ll mostly play and thrive in the Slot. Slot CBs are known as the shorter DBs also. Like Avonte Maddox types. You gotta pay attention to the details. I mean… yes…he isn’t towering over everybody. He is exactly a possession guy. I mean how can you be so consistently inaccurate and wrong! He’s great fighting for the catch. But the actual key is his route running and quick step. Guy gets open.

I said move down in day 2 don’t say in round 2 but yea Howie has tended to trade up in the first round what like last 4-5 years then trade down on day 2 whether that is in round 2 or round 3 to collect more picks

We collected all these compensatory picks. In my mind that counterbalances the move already. But I don’t link the trade up in round one to the next moves much at all. Got our guy! Pretty much always just in favor of doing that. Rosie great wheeling and dealing..,not so great just overall evaluating entire draft. He hits with his targeted selections.

I don’t like the ego win the draft trade value wars game. Means nothing. Get quality players…especially this guy exactly fixes our areas of biggest weakness. DCs keying on playing Zones on us. He’s a zone buster. Most everybody here ignores the simple basic roster building flaw belonging to Rosie surrounds the Slot WR position, sadly just attack Hurts due to Rosie’s shortcoming there. Let’s see if a Slot Zone buster effects Hurts success in these two struggling areas

This is fantastic! Hurts going to feed you guys crow yet again! Watch Hurts throw and produce so much more on the Slot with Lemon. You guys don’t believe it will happen according to every statements you’ve made. I…yes I alone…exactly broke down the obvious detailed reasoning behind this flawed roster building..not QB in capability !

I don’t think Lemon fits with QB1. does for the scheme Mannion would want to bring in though…. Definitely going to be interesting to see how that works out.

But then again if Hurts can’t make it work as a passer this year likely won’t be the QB in 2027.

It’s all tied to can we keep Siri out of the way from obstructing growth and progress. Mannion has zero experience. Just unreasonable to expect him to possess twenty year career mastery day one. But heck…he’s a real O mind at least. Barely even been a coach. Raw…Green….plus a completely different O to our guys…that have never been exposed to it before. Takes years….even under a grizzled vet coach…to get anywhere close to all that.

23 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:

Yeah, but there would be comparble WR's later like Chris Bell in 2,Stribling,Fields(and on and on) there was zero reason for this pick and it's even worse we moved UP for a WR. Just horrible

Not comparable at all…terrible take by you. I have zero problem with him still drafting like the NDSt kid. But our need was WR 2. We have depth …freaking finally. Got a couple of third or fourth WRs. Need a 2..starter. Plus he exactly solves are O problems we currently face. Slot and Zone buster. Lemon can be argued best WR in this entire class. No other player left on the board even close to graded with Lemon. Exactly the time to go grab him.

I haven’t even mentioned Lemon is a solid blocker. Blocking Slot WR for us is so very advantageous. This guy actually a threat receiving also. Just contemplate how much that is fantastic for us. Pretty huge game changing selection,

And we gave our arch rival more picks to boot. This move will enhance our round 1 pick next year(LOL).

I view it as the Cowboys gave us exactly what we needed. Stupid on their part! Love it!

He wasn't drafted by the Eagles

Agholor was

If he turns out to be another St. Brown it'll be a great pick

He’s everything answering our weakness opponents have been doing to us. Just how many boxes does Lemon check for us? I honestly haven’t remotely posted everything yet.

I'm well aware, but you aren't getting a possible stud OT to replace Lane. Not in this draft anyway. There could be a usable one but the drop off is pretty noticeable, so whatever. I am on the record as not liking the pick and ALSO giving draft capital to my arch rival

Actually really strong Oline depth class. But heck…got Fred. We could easily target a stud C and G still. Actually would target a C and move Cam back to G. Maybe not a year one transition….if you look ahead towards our Oline? Can you say we are set at G and C? I’m not sure Cam and Dickerson even have a strong durable season left in their careers. Steen is fine…but nothing locking down the position for years.

23 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:

I have nothing against Lemon, but there are other WR's just as capable, there was zero need to move up and give Dallas more ammo. I think Lemon was even shocked we moved up for him

He earned a reward stating exactly otherwise. But sure ..somebody will be fantastic drafted later….wouldont be the guy Rosie chose though…proven over and over. Target Smitty…target Lemon. This is how Rosie can overcome his weakness.

23 hours ago, Bleedinggreen93 said:

110 targets last year for Lemon at USC and only had 1 drop so he at least seems to have sure hands

Sick!!!! That’s a football player. Always most important. Height?..forty time? Football player

Isn't he a slot WR?

Uh ohhhh…watch Hurts production in the Slot increase. It will be magic for your eyes. Another hater label busted!here it comes.
