Look how are team survived that brutal Super Season. The key guys inside? Didn’t…at all..maybe never even be the same in an all to realistic half glass empty negative point of view. Dickerson and Cam were wiped. Saquan felt like they clearly were managing and sparing his usual high workload approach. Hurts needed to manage things much more than just ignoring the reality of the brutal physical toll that Super Season took on him.

It’s known many teams that get to the SB and lose suffer and SB hangover the coloring season. That’s reality factual occurred in NFL history.

I ask over and over what more did we need to have accomplished than the second seed? Hurts had us completely lined up for the two. Ugly…lacking the stat padding to feed egos and fame….who cares? The priorities lie on the postseason(the same point I repeat so endlessly). Hurts was then putting everything on the line. He ran…but teammates undercut this aspect against the Niners. Hurts wasn’t looking to be holding back anything in the playoff game. That’s what it’s about!

Like supposedly it was rumored Lane could have been capable of suiting up the last two games. But you make the call of not risking him until the playoff game at that point. Definitely don’t push him playing at 70 percent with high risk or chance his injury declines.

So how do you draw the lines between you rather have a healthy ready to roll Saquan for the playoff game? Or risking optimal play come win or go home postseason?

6th seed with all starters healthy….or 2 seed entering postseason beat up?

Hurts gotta play the regular season to live to make another play. He’ll run more now a season removed from that all time historically physically brutal Super Season.

Can’t forget it was Siri main focal point towards Hurts in 2023 to exactly do all this. Not take the extra blows. Get down more.

He has had 5 different OCs, each having their own methods with heavy Sirianni influence. Hurts evolution/development is complete. He is what he is......His progressions, decision making are too slow and his anticipation for a receiver creating separation is poor. So he rarely gets to his 3rd read. The eagles have had some decent 3rd WRs who simply didn't get many balls thrown their way. Now, some of that is influenced by Brown and Smith getting separation and Hurts delivering the ball. But we've all seen him lock on too long to Brown and Smith when they aren't open and Hurts either takes off or throws the ball away.

So, at this point, it's highly unlikely Hurts evolves into a better passer unless Mannion, Frazier and Grizzard can get him to speed up his reads. Hurts has a lot of good qualities and he's a winner, but I doubt he ever improves as a passer.

The running QB gimmick has a shelf life. Passing is eventually needed.

Tush push was a gimmick and we did it well. And at the GL I used to say "TD O line". Back when Hurts was still hungry but we all knew it was the O line, now he's on Easy St. IDK with that O line penetration being pushed by 2 massive humans about any QB could have scored. No tush pushes last year to speak of because the O line was all injured which proves the point that those TDs were O line although Hurts got the stat credits. Enough of the past, but I don't see the TP as being a viable offensive tool with Mannion. That O line were the ones that took a beating in that SB season, not Hurts.

So now... we have another set of " outside eyes" like Moore was. The idea of all this motion and QB under center...etc. Such exotic play calling.

Let's see if it has to be dummied down again like 2 years ago....less passing...less reads ...less responsibility for the QB ...with the team going to the coach all asking for it.

Just curious. In your opinion. With KC not being able to reach midfield for the first NINE POSSESSIONS and a pick 6 by DeJean and another pick by Baun around the 10 yard line... which QB would you think would have had trouble winning that Superbowl? 🤔

And remember...we give that QB the 2024 Eagles OL...and skill group. Similar to what Pickett and McKee had while Hurts was injured.

You know who would have a blast with this group on offense? Andy Dalton LOL(yes I know he is QB 3 as does he). The sheer talent we have would put a big smile on that face and he's not afraid to turn it loose
