JMO Verse is going to be very good. Garrett good? IDK he still has a high ceiling yet. In a few years he will be the next Cleveland trade because they can't put anything together. Howie made them an offer, but they wanted Carter and Howie said no. Good move by Howie. Let's see what Grennard can do

Idk if Howie made any offers... I think he uses more of a " discussion " tactic. You see what teams are thinking etc. Also see which other teams may be involved.

He's pretty sly how he works. I think he offered them Nolan and the picks, but they wanted Carter not Nolan, so he said no. Howie always checks out every trade.. Maybe Howie trades for Verse HAHA. nothing surprises me with Howie

BTW Verse would be a nice addition. Cleveland not the sharpest GM on the block. But either way, this is my team, good or bad. We all suffered many years of .500 and it's nice to be at the top for this long

This just came in, they seem optomistic about Lemon here

600ish yards predicted…that was my number I set as well…if you remember?

Should be fun watching all these camps battles. WR especially and how/who we work where. Like will Wicks be a weapon? He was kind of overlooked in GB, so hard to judge what he will be capable of

What are you predicting to be the battles for this squad?

I honestly not sure I’m seeing that many. Feels like the team has been fairly well set on paper and lined up. Think you highlighted a depth WR battle taking place. Kind of feels like several different types of WR bringing differing skill sets. Hollywood the speed while decent at getting open quick. Getting open quick I’m predicting will be a key element under Mannion. Huge change up from Siri’s O. Elijah Moore a YAC creator weapon. Wicks known to get open quick while having size. Wilson has the size with what has felt like Hurts trust…that goes a long ways(see AJ Fallout).

Smitty outside with Lemon in the Slot feels fairly locked in. In only two WR sets in winding how often Lemon will stay out there at X?

Wilson doesn’t have history with Mannion. Wicks does and was chosen while extended. Wicks practically locked in as the third WR. Though you’d figure some rotation will be utilized playing towards player skillsets. Quick YAC Creation play for Elijah Moore versus deep ball field stretching presence going with Hollywood.

Darius Cooper don’t know how he will or won’t fit in now. Got Hurts trust…but Mannion isn’t invested in him.

No doubt you FL aren’t expecting even 250 yards coming from the Slot…since you label Hurts as the problem with lack of production from that position.

I'm looking forward to watching the defense this year. I think the formula is old school with this team. Run the ball and play defense. I don't see shootouts with the current QB as the way to play.

Could look at this from either side of that coin. To me I’ve felt like what was Siri worried so much about risking with such a talented O? Or more specifically…having this elite D should give reason for the HC to not poop his pants over a bump of lump in the road developing and ironing out things fir the O.

Basically…if the O was so capable like they were that SB season of putting up 50 points? A turnover or two won’t be absolutely devastating. The D should have /should provide plenty of confidence to not worry so much.

Who could keep up with that kind of scoring against our D?

FL and No Mas aren’t going to ever understand how just putting up O stats doesn’t equate to greatness or winning. Chip Kelly Hurry Up O ball generated extra possessions in every game clearly leading to greater stats. Not championship winning brand of football however..AT ALL!

Siri pulled the strings back tight doing the opposite approach. He went ultra conservative. Ran the clock and shorten games. Had less possessions involved. While so many games iced out killing clock with the lead to victories.

Whole Siri approach…more recently that is..not initially…is lesser stat producing O. Straight obvious conclusions and results  chosing to play in this manner.

And that is his "track record". Very sad on what should be a fun board about the Eagles

You did…I’d tread real lightly if I was you.

So back to football, I'm seeing the Patriots and Rams make the big moves. But look at the moves in a net gain. Patriots replacing Diggs with AJ. Upgrade? Sure, but how much, it wasn't exactly a weakness with Diggs. The Rams, they replace Verse with Garrett. Upgrade, sure, but how much? It's not like Verse is a weak player, he is already a plus player.

To me when teams make the gains, it's when they replace a weakness or average spot with a good or great one.

I look at the Eagles, could be nice on the defense upgrading CB2. That can cause a lot of problems for teams for sure where last year not so much.

Pats beat up on crap teams last season. Unimpressed. Only victory versus a team with a winning record in the regular season came via split against Bills. Barely eeked out beating the Broncos without Nix even. Humiliated by Seachickens…who weren’t some all time juggernaut.

NaKobe came in transformed the D. Really when the run D tightened up. Jihad fast…but outruns angles and really questionable durability. Trot though seems like a solid option…maybe nothing spectacular. Smael good in coverage.

Relying on Epps I don’t see lasting. Don’t see him holding up to heavy usage every week the whole season. Mukuba whole question mark surrounded his size and durability.

Having Riq does give some hope in the case Q goes down for any extended period.

Expect Fangio sets the D up for Baun and Jalyx to feast as the playmakers. Exactly what those two are: playmakers.

Problem being Shannahan did expose Fangio and our D a tiny bit. He really broke our D down fantastic to generate what he did in that playoff game.
