Then you start consider the pick you are throwing away ..weee considering throwing away. Was mentioned here fourth. I read two articles speculating second round pick. So call it a third round pick.

This past draft I really liked moving up for Lemon….reaching a bit fitter with a high ceiling relatively inexperienced TE in the second . Along with trading for Greenard. Real weak draft class….smart approach. Even talk about throwing away some pick in that draft on a super reach makes more sense. Yet took a flyer at the end on my boy Uar Bernard…this aligns much more with my whole thinking and opinion.

Whole different standards with expectations this next draft.

Nobody was giving away their first in 2027 for AJ…there was that ..one of many ..hints. Two teams willing to give 2028 first for AJ.

Nah…clearly I’m just making too much sense here. Sorry with the next level considerations on the subject. Yes Rosie will spend a second round pick on a CB that’s injured or G. Yes he’ll pickup a CB fees dropped over a gambling mistake.

But:A full blown gambling addiction …with such weakness of …well…feels fair to refer to it as stupidity….got his own team involved over forty times with bets. Plays QB….total different…if you put it anywhere near any kind of reality microscope.

A CB that was suspended for an ENTIRE SEASON for gambling…. Or idk how about signing MICHEAL VICK I CONVICTED FELON!!!!!! But yea Howie wouldn’t take a flier with a late draft pick on a QB caught gambling are you really that dense

Can I start a petition for Hurts and ham to be traded to literally any team in the league at this point…. Hurts delusional fans make him so much worse than he actually is none of them have any common sense.

You see how a simple Howie would investigate and possibly make a late round investment turns into a whole bunch of other irrelevant things.

The whole world agrees...the talk was Howie was going himself to the pro day workout. Not rocket science.

Michael Vick...a convicted felon.... refresh our minds here....WHAT POSITION DID HE PLAY?

How old was Vick? Compared to a college age QB?

Figure the younger person is more apt to make a life mistake and then be seen as being able to correct that more than an older person.

Also, with Vick, the owner/ GM knew they were going to lose fans, some who haven't still come back due to their love of dogs/ animals. Is there a perception that the Eagles would lose any fan forever because they would sign someone who gambled?

IDK, but if one would try to argue the point of not looking into a player because of his position, and because he doesn't deserve a second chance or because of public perception. He would have to offer why they signed Vick and why that was more of a case that would be less of a potential problem? I'd like to hear that?

Last year I wasted my time trying to explain " tampering" some people just don't understand.

You are going down the same path here... saying one thing and the idiot is going in a completely different direction.

That was exhausting to read.

to me it has zero to do with Hurts though if we had prime Tom Brady Howie would be looking at Sorsby why because it’s is how Howie operates he takes gambles on those low cost high reward type guys on the regular. And Howie highly highly invests at QB he has since he took over.

Over the years things I thought were crazy but Howie still did at QB

  1. Signing Vick while still having Mcnabb and the heir apparent at the time Kevin Kolb

  2. Paying Sam Bradford, paying chase daniel, then TRADING UP for Carson Wentz

  3. Drafting Hurts in the 2nd round after paying Wentz

  4. Signing Josh McCown to the PS just to sit at home during Covid as the emergency QB

  5. Trading for Andy Dalton, still have Tanner McKee oh and draft Cole Payton just for QB Fing depth.

I’m sure I’m missing some but you get the point

Has zero to do with Hurts. Just like the excellent trade with the Saints eas not about moving up to get another QB....a good investment is a good investment on its own. Not everything revolves around Hurts. Well... to some he is the center of the universe.

Most people get the point... but they also got what the " tampering " investigation was about with Barkley as well.

For some the elevator doesn't go to the top floor...it leads to a completely different building somehow.

They couldn’t get together with the new scheme on their own

that is utter BS and you know it. the qb was on a record pace for turnovers because he couldn't follow the scheme and couldn't read a defense which basically left him lost.

the oline went to moore and took the ball out of hurts' hands so to speak, and the team went on to win a super bowl as a result.

the funny part about your stupid schtick here is that hurts has admitted as much over & over again while you refuse to because you're such a fragile individual that you need to constantly talk to yourself for 3 pages and pat yourself on the back like you're some type of savant.

can hurts catch on to the new scheme unlike moore's, or will they need to scale it down because hurts just doesnt have the talent. i'm leaning towards the former, but history would tell one differently.

What the media kind of HID was the fact Vick turned himself around. He came from an environment that was fine with dog fighting. In other words he was brought up to assume this was ok. After his conviction and payment of his social debt, he became a big supporter of animal rights(dogs in particular). Much more difficult to change an adult such as Vick, rather than a college kid who was steered wrong. If the team feels there is some advantage they would have looked at it fairly. Now that is all moot anyway, he will be in the '27 draft. He will probably not play his last year of college. We have NP with waiting for players to develop or in his case get his act together. Being young and stupid is not the crime. We know he is young, we know he made stupid mistakes. he will either pick himself up and dust himself off, or he can hang with Kaepernick. His call, no one can make that for him.

I also hope Hurts can become an NFL QB and not just a glorified college QB. Been waiting for his move to the next level, but we can't ever really know as Howie has continually surrounded Hurts with top talent all around him. Very difficult to fail. QB 19/32 needs to break into the top 10 with what we pay him

And... for his next contract. To me that is the question. He will be the QB here the next 2 years barring an epic fail. But mediocre QB play isn't going to get him the next contract here.

All he has to do though is play "good enough" to win. The rest carry him. A move into the top 10 would do that, then the question is, what is he worth going forward and for what length contract. We have other guys to pay too(or not)

Disagree.... I think if Howie gives him another " elite" contract.... he will have to play ELITE!

Just good enough to win by being carried isn't getting him the $60 mil plus per year

Just being good enough to win by being carried is going to keep him QB the next two years though.

This level I fully expect.

He would have to play below average to be replaced... along with some other team willing to trade for him and he would agree to go there. Otherwise two years and either new elite contract or he gets released.

Trotter got married last weekend. He needs to be cut immediately for having the wrong napkin colors. His career is over

Not understanding the correlation really. Yes Mike Vick was involved with all that. I’m totally against any of that stuff…wouldn’t defend any harm to animals. But….i didn’t grow up in that environment like he did. Fighting dogs was routine normalized around him all his life. Heck probably what helped drove him to live the life of a gladiator with his own body playing in the NFL. Especially considering his size and such. Mike Vick wasn’t nearly as big as Hurts. Vick even shorter. But….skinny and not built to take punishment.

But Vick himself admits he wished he’d been dedicated, studied and practiced so much more. Vick just sick ultimate athlete. Vick flick his wrist standing still could throw it out of the stadium.

Mike Vick I truely believe is a great special person personally.

The comparison with Vick to Hurts just showcases so many reasons I gravitate towards so easily rooting for Hurts. Hurts only got to these levels based on blue collar ‘sure will.’ He’s dedicated and focused doing all the work. He can’t control or do anything about ever not having that Mike Vick arm…or speed….or elusiveness….yet Hurts already superior NFL player in comparison.
