A few players are returning to college after stints in the NFL. BTW I always liked this kid as a TE,but I guess now he will be competing with the guy i listed earlier

Kind of crazy I know the NFL has already banned players returning to college from reapplying for the draft stating they only get 1 chance to be drafted.

And Big 10 came out and banned NFL players from returning which I honestly think is the right move…. They failed or struggled in the NFL so they want to run back to college to make NIL

Just curious though, after their 5th year back in college why can't they come back as UDFA's? Technically they aren't being drafted

They can say whatever they want about Hurts....and I have my criticisms too, but the fact is that NO QB in the NFL has had as many OCs and QB coaches as Hurts. The guy is a leader, a winner and he is a high performer in playoffs and the Super Bowl....high pressure situations. And the fact that some idiot thinks is only effective with a talented supporting cast is just ridiculous......All QBs rely on a talented OC and talent he is surrounded by.....

Hurts may never win a passing title, but I'm going out there and saying Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Herbert, Prescott will never win a Super Bowl.

Right, Hurts is a mediocre QB (19/32 last year) surrounded by top talent at nearly every position around him. Great game manager which is all we ask him to do. Then last year he makes a side deal that he's not going to run, which is why we paid him the big money to begin with. MVP because of the O line and the tush push and a 2,000 yard RB

Dalton played much better this game. McKee had a decent outing and the INT wasn't directly his fault. I can't firmly say who won the QB2 battle, but I'm leaning towards McKee.

Steele had another really good performance. I'm giving him the nod over Latu.

If Shipley not playing today is any indication, then he's RB3 which I disagree with. Steele or Pierce should clearly have rights to that. In fact I would say Pierce>Shipley, Steele>Latu.

I'll take Steele first. All he does is make things happen and score TD's(yes I know it's vs 2's and 3's). IDK but this kid can't be on the PS, he would get snatched easy. I'm not a Ship fan, never was, but agree he will be the 3 regardless. Steele can bang, like this guy alot. Tough decisions ahead. Alot of midnight oil burning between now and Sunday. Bark, Tank and Steele would be a great RB room IMO. Steele seems to be able to score on those easy flare passes. He has consistently beaten opposing edge players. I'm glad I don' have to make these decisions

He's earned more than the "Preseason Darling" award. Against 2's, 3's and 4's he looked like a 1. As did Pierce. Shipley did ok, but he did not stand out against opponents of his equal.

Just looking ahead to when Bark retires, keeping Tank and Steele makes sense. Barks age is starting to come into play. Tank and Steele are both young at 23, that would be a nice future tandem built in. Pierce was a hot RB his rookie year. Faded off but seems to be bouncing back. I'm sorry, if Ship got put on the PS I really wouldn't care if he got poached. He was supposed to replace Gains and never got there and that was for the previous offense we had. I still am not sure what this new offense is about. Not seeing any dynamic plays other then we seem to want to throw to the flat like what Steel is doing. I don't think Ship is cut out for that. If the offense has changed Steele is more suited to that role in my view. I would go Bark, Tank, Steele. Now that we know Steele can catch like Ship but has the added bulk to hurt people, that's what I would personally do. Let Pierce and Ship go to the PS. Maybe both get poached but we need to keep the RB's at 3 if we want to have another nice player on the 53 as we have alot of very nice prospects. Going to be some very tough decisions coming and some decent prospects going away. That is a credit to our staff for getting them ready and losing good player prospects is unfortunately part of the game. going 0-3 wasn't fun in pre,but we saw some possible bright spots from players we didn't expect to. I will let the pros do what they get paid to do.
