I forgot to mention just offensively, the OC mannion is only in his second game calling plays as an offensive coordinator. And Robert saleh has always given the Eagles fits defensively. The only game the Eagles really haven’t is when they played in the NFC title game and Brock Purdy got hurt.

The first one is a textbook example of that sentence above in action. The Titans Safety made an outstanding play on the ball and the Titans DC drew up an outstanding play, which beautifully disguised how the play was going to unfold. As a result the location of the Safety was partially obscured from Hurts’ vision. Hurts could have made a marginally better throw, but the reason for the interception was not a bad throw, but rather an outstanding Defensive play.

Even without the titans S making a great play WR was blanketed and throw was still bad…. The 2nd one I did miss the slight hit at the end of the throw by Simmons….

The throw on the first one wasn’t bad. It was more meh than bad, and definitely far from good. It fell into the grey area between black and white.

At what point are we considering this a good decision????

We are not. This isn’t a binary. The decision falls into the muddy grey middle. If the Safety was a half a step later than he was, that is a completed pass. The input to the decision is where the fault lies. Hurts did not see the Safety. In an ideal world he would have, but he fell short of ideal. That happens.

And was still a terrible decision… that was never going to be caught and missing the S doesn’t change the fact it was a bad read because the S WAS THERE

You don’t get a Fing pass because you don’t see a player

And again the play isn’t being made if without the S OL maybe it isn’t an int it’s not being caught either

No the Safety was not there. He was tracking Goedert who was moving from right to left away from the spot where the ball was thrown. The Safety chose to abandon covering Goedert and broke toward the spot where the interception happened. When Hurts threw the ball the Safety was 10 yards away from THERE.

No ,it's not as bad as that. R/L G are very easy to swap. Just learning how to move a little differently. Hand strikes are hand strikes it's not like NOT being ambidextrous . You still use your same hand technique on either side. Steen is ok, not great so we never really addressed RG did we? Now we have to deal with LG also. RG/LG is more about hip rotation,that would be opposite but your hands don't need to change sides LOL

LOL dancing bears do little to add to the running game, you need guys that can push people back and move people out not dance the waltz. Football is a game of physicality at the lines so the skill players can do THEIR dances, those are more finesse players

That makes sense in lots of Offensive schemes, but does it make sense in the Outside Zone scheme that Mannion deploys?

Maybe that is the issue. RB success relies on timing and holes being open where they are supposed to be, dancing bears or not. We have seen we don't have the edge guys to block when throwing flares in the flat, that play is DOA almost every time as the RB is out there on an island facing 3 defenders with no blocking. Mannion will learn, it will take time I'm sure but we simply aren't getting Bark to level 2 no matter how you slice it
