Largest roadblock probably just being Siri. Gainwell is a solid RB3 himself…but Milton might be the rightful choice for the job.

The RPO tends to freeze the O line. Maybe why those holes didn't appear. Bark doesn't need much of a window. He has a great burst, and he can punish LB's. Too soon to understand the loss of our All Time C?
April 30, 20242 yr Well, now we know the Eagles picks finally. Since I didn’t watch any of these young men play a single game, please give me your brief thoughts on each one. I’m nervous about a CB from Toledo. Dejean was a good pick at 40 from his draft projection. The 3rd pick? What the hell? As an offensive minded coach, I loved what I saw of highlights of Shipley. He is a weapon!…unless he doesn’t translate to the NFL. Anias? Replacing Covey? Is he an upgrade? I was disappointed they didn’t pick an O linemen until late, but it is what it is. I don’t want to go back and read the last 100 pages here, so any insight is appreciated.

Alot of small school guys at the skill positions have trouble transitioning. We got him for his speed,a similar thing we did taking Reagor over JJ. Toledo not really in a bang up league,so we'll see how it goes. He was ranked high by most so he must have the skills.Pick 3 IDK. I was a little shocked by it,but 58 read up about him and I guess he is ok where we got him. Like you, I thought we would be more aggressive getting some O line in. There were some minor cuts today. Maybe Howie isn't done yet. Some players will be cut loose like we cut some today. perhaps there will be usable guys from that. This is all just my own opinion. I was pulling for getting Ainias Smith right from the start/ In my view he was the best SLOT WR in this draft(not best WR but best SLOT so that pick made me very happy) DeJean is the more NFL ready of the 2.I believe in time he will be an integral part of our secondary
April 30, 20242 yr Travis Kelce signed two year 34 mil extension. Crazy the all time TE can only make half that of WRs.

DeJean is the elite return man. Shipley should claim RB2 job as soon as Siri gets out of the way. NCSt Oline McMahon shows well at C. Jalyx Hunt is Fangio’s chosen player…so they reached. Huge upside in the S turned Edge though. It was a good strong draft. Pretty franchise changing that Rosie finally grabbed two DBs. Seriously changed the course with youth and speed.

April 30, 20242 yr How about the blocking calls from Jurgens? Does anybody expect him to do that part even at the same level Kelce was?

No I don’t think any of us can expect that in his first season at Center and honestly even his first couple or few. More is going to be on Hurts to see things and call them. But at least Jurgens has spent 2 years working with Kelce so I’m sure that’s been a real help.

Once you do something, alot is name recognition afterwards. So you have your excuse built in already eh? How did KC win the SB if we had the best ever C? We shoulda whooped TB's arse last year. Without the tush push Hurts will actually have to play QB now
April 30, 20242 yr Author 8 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: How about the blocking calls from Jurgens? Does anybody expect him to do that part even at the same level Kelce was? Yes I expect him to, it's his job. Why would we field an incomplete C???? He learned nothing from Kelce in 2 years? Nobody figured out he was the heir and acted to teach him in 2 years? It's time for him to take the reins and play now. He had to have learned in all this time. He's not fresh off the banana boat and I can't say he is on par with Kelce, big shoes to fill, but maybe he shoots for being a pro bowler as well. Someone has to be there, why not Jurgens? Let's see what he's got before making any assumptions as to whether is he lesser,as good, or possibly better because we DON'T know anything yet.As he plays he will learn the players he faces tendencies as they will his. It happens with every new player, but I seriously doubt we field a guy that can't do it. If he wasn't ready, or lacked the skills, we would have either gotten a FA or drafted C and it was obvious to me we avoided doing it in the draft, so they must feel he is ready to go. Plus he is younger and on the way UP,so I won't pre judge him and he has another camp also,so almost 3 years to get this down

Nothing has happened yet.. could be more upgrade at RG vs a drop off in C. Could be different plays/ scheme thst changed things...etc.
April 30, 20242 yr This is just such an obvious situation of Jurgens being a drop off in his experience making the calls from Kelce. Just so basic that Jurgens isn’t coming in at the level of best ever player all around. Kelce unbelievable unwavering leadership qualities. Can the discussion here ever revolve around reality?
April 30, 20242 yr Frankly it’s just completely disrespectful or telling of a complete lack of recognition for what we have been witnessing all these years from our C.

Yes he lacks experience, how does he get that? How does any player we replace get that? That is reality, now what do you want to do about it????

Without the tush push Hurts will actually have to play QB now Are you actually saying here that Kelce was living off name recognition in his career? Completely false! Kelce was a player that lived up to the billing even his last season he played. Kelce didn’t have to retire because his level of play dropped off so hard. Kelce was playing at a high level even last season. Guy was a complete stud player…all the way. He earned that name recognition pretty much every single game of his career.
April 30, 20242 yr "How did KC win the SB if we had the best C ever?” Stated by FL. Are you kidding me here? We put up 35 points. Fact is the best C in the game now plays for the Chiefs. The guy is really good. How could you even try to make the point of Kelce being something lesser because we didn’t win the SB? Just ridiculous! It’s a team sport. You try to keep placing that one loss on individuals. Really just two individuals. We lost that game over and over because of Hurts you’ve been endlessly pounding the table about. Now trying to take down Kelce a notch because we didn’t win that game…like it’s because he isn’t such a great player. Just a complete lack of any real understanding of team sports. Complete unawareness of what happened that day.
April 30, 20242 yr We had most of our team(players and coaches) come up extremely small in that SB. The obvious scapegoats were everywhere. All the guys that shrunk in the big game. We had a top D that season. None of that whole side of the ball showed up…at all. All these players that are so very talented and played like crap that day. Yet you are pointing to two of the guys that played excellent ball that day as the problem. Just zero awareness. I have no idea what it is you ever are seeing.

Five decent guys can make a better line that much more talented players playing as individuals. Can’t you agree with that? I know you’ve watched plenty of football in your time. There is this quote
