Siri wore his fanboy Gainwell’s TC shirt. Yet Shipley had the very good practice day mixing in with the Ones. Be a great show of just who is in charge of what this season. Be real hard for Siri to force Gainwell into the starting role now.

Correct...because Ringo didn't back up 5 yards after giving the 7 yard cushion.   

That's the point I was making about my original post.  If you give the cushion 3 yards behind the 1st down...you shouldn't have your first reaction backing up another 5 yards like we did last year. 

Fangio uses the off coverage in more aggressive ways.  That's going to be huge this year.

Both plays happened last season in the different playcalls…like I was trying to explain to you. You didn’t like the playcall.

Maybe he gets real aggressive and calls a Bump and Run hands on coverage. Not allowing a free release from the line of scrimmage on the play.

Because this picture was taken in the middle of the play. The post from the picture explains what happened on the play. . Instead of actually reading what I quoted..  you go off in " combative, I'm smartest guy in the room mode talking about cover 3" .

The CB starts 7 yards off...3 yards behind the 1st down marker...continued to back up 12 yards off the line...8 yards past the marker...the throw was 5 yard out caught a yard past the marker and the WR ran another 5 yards before going out of bounds ...wide open the whole time. 

I explained that in the post back then...but you were all " cover 3 cover 3"

I'm sure Ringo gave a cushion and didn't back up 12 yards before running up another 7 to break up the 5 yard out.  He played off,let the WR run to him and moved up to engage. Normal defense.

That's fine...don't really care... but on 3rd and 4...the CB can't be 12 yards off at the time a 5 yard pass is caught by the receiver.  

I'm ok with starting 7 yards off at the snap...and then staying in place to be able to move up to break up the pass at the marker. 

Can't be 8 yards behind the marker while the receiver is a yard past it and the ball is about to be caught...too much ground to cover.

Have you seen the picture of Jemal Singleton, our RB coach, wearing the boxing glove for ball security drills?

Lord I can’t keep going round and round explaining everything to you when you don’t want to hear it. They all can be "normal D.” When a WR begins to run up field a CB does this thing you noticed called a "backpedal.”

Geez I can’t believe this play still is being explained and discussed. I’ve tried since the very first to explain how what you don’t like is the playcall. Which I thought at some point you actually agreed with.

The play you keep misanalyzing is a different playcall that the play I just showed you with Ringo. One has that outside CB with Over responsibilities….Slot has Out. The other has that Man….covering the OuT.

Dude..the post explains everything.   The reporter who wrote the post on what happened on the exact play.  You don't pay attention what people say in the post.  I quoted the post explaining what happened on the play. Why do you argue?   Obviously it's a still frame taken right after the snap as the play just started... not my fault its not a video or multiple shots so you could see the CB as he was 12 yards downfield as the WR caught the ball 5 yards downfield just past the marker.  

If there was that photo...then you would understand.  Because Obviously if I describe something play by play you don't pay attention.

Correct different play call... from a better DC.   Right.   You don't play the 5 yard out on 3rd and 4 like it was played in the photo. Bad call.   Back pedaling another 5 yards after starting 3 yards past the first down marker won't be in the playbook 

Fangio should make normal calls that match the situation.

I told you from the beggining what you didn’t like was actually the playcall…and have been explaining that ever since.

You keep babbling on and on about how the outside CB is playing off coverage and can’t stop the Out that the Slot has responsibility for.

In that same game I posted the Ringo clip from in Seattle. Watch how their CB is thirty yards past the first down marker and they make the interception over AJ on the play that pretty much seals the victory. But look how far he is beyond the sticks? Ended our chances. If he would have only sat on the underneath first down marker AJ would have owned him.

If you understood it was the playcall actually you didn’t like…then you really just wouldn’t even keep bringing up the CB not with responsibility and where he was.
