Just a thought. Jags have the money for Aiyuk. He would complete the WR corps for Lawrence. Of course I am biased but what a formidable offense they would have with what they already have at WR and Etienne in the backfield

That would be a lethal WR room. Kirk, Thomas and Aiyuk moving Gabe Davis to backup depth with speedster Duvernay

Reddick "the cancer" is still holding out

Jets and Douglas just trying to screw him. It was very widely known Reddick needed a new contract with zero guaranteed money. We traded him not wanting to pay up. Jets traded for him fully knowing the situation. This whole situation maybe works for the Jets to make sure they screw us out of getting that second round pick. They’re looking to play super hard ball with Reddick. He is incurring fines this whole time. After week two Douglas has all kinds of leverage over Reddick. So they might just push the situation into the regular season. This isn’t a Reddick cancer situation as much as Joe Douglas hard ball business situation.

Dude... why do you bury your head in the sand?   Nobody wants to pay Reddick....Google everything on the subject.

So your opinion is the Jets traded for Reddick thinking they didn’t need to pay him? No idea how you ever got to this conclusion

https://www.nj.com/jets/2024/08/ex-nfl-pro-bowler-jets-haason-reddick-not-getting-money-he-wants-over-something-hes-doing.html  ... this one  has Hugh Douglas giving some insight

 https://jetsxfactor.com/2024/08/13/ny-jets-leverage-haason-reddick-situation/

Hard pressed to find anything supporting Reddick    ... it's pretty simple, he thinks he is worth a certain amount that the league ... the entire league doesn't want to pay him.    The issues from the Eagles last year, one of the very believed things is that " certain players"  were worried more about their own stats that helping the team and it was a problem.

In a perfect world... 2022 Reddick both the performance and the attitude would be ideal... obviously that year was a fluke.  He is on team # 4 now... doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

Read up some.  Only takes a few minutes.  Just curious to how you can't see the reality that no team wants to pay him what he unrealistically wants.

So it’s a shocking newfound surprise to you Reddick wants to get paid…or else it makes little sense what the Jets are doing….less than playing really hard business on him.

The Barstool link has me cracking up. This Jets fan is so pissed off it’s hilarious! Very ignorant to think Reddick wasn’t going to make sure he locked in something more than nothing guaranteed.

If you weren’t willing to pay him then why trade for him?

Again.... for Reddick to get paid.... one of 32 teams needs to offer him that money.

Again... none... zero ... zilch ...and any other language you know a term for zero ... that is the number of NFL teams willing to pay Reddick what he unrealistically wants.

That's how life works... you can desire pay... but you need someone to offer that to you.

Reports are teams were hanging up right away as he mentioned $25 mil .... also reports the Jets offered him more money for  THIS YEAR than what he was going to get with the Eagles.

It's obvious now... his demands are not what the market is offering him.

At this point now... you are his agent, what would you do?   the Eagles already gave him permission to talk with all the teams in the league.   What is the move now?   You tell me?

The one with Hugh douglas ... he has been saying this for a while about Reddick.

So you admit it was known league wide he was looking for 25 mil a season …so if you trade for him you obviously need to pony up some dough. That’s completely on the Jets. You said it yourself really.

Well.. hey offered him a raise.  You see how at his press conference he was the politician.   He obviously has you fooled.  He gave all the right answers.

But... i'm not worried about the Jets.  They took him off of our hands... thankfully.

You are a big Reddick guy... so forget the Eagles or the Jets... what advice to you specifically have for Reddick right now?   What is his move.... and what do you think his chances of EVER seeing $25 mil per year are?

In the Aiyuk trade situation all these other teams are understanding the new contract comes with the trade. Pretty standard NFL trade operating procedures here. If you aren’t willing to pay up…then you shouldn’t trade for the player demanding a new contract. Fairly simple to me. Not sure what’s lost in translation here. Other than some fanboy venom hating on Reddick’s over outplaying his contract.

I mean... Huff sucks right.  He got one less sack than Reddick did last year.  So Reddick playing in Huff's role... but say with an increase in snaps ... say exactly half the difference of what he played more than Huff last year.... say another 150 snaps over what Huff played last year.... the great Reddick should get 20 sacks easy for the Jets.    Then he could demand that money ... possibly.

Now... he basically is F#$%ing himself!

Again... why doesn't it register to you.... ZERO teams are willing to pay Reddick

zero teams are willing to pay Reddick

Yeah obviously he’s joining a new team at his opening press conference he’s not opening up with: I only acknowledge my new fans once the team pays me. Or some very d12k harsh fan killing statement like that. Sure he said he was glad to be a Jet and all that kind of stuff too.

AGAIN.... AT THIS MOMENT... what is your advice to Reddick?

So any team trades for Aiyuk and doesn’t pay him…should be shocked if he doesn’t suit up for them right? Just like all the tons of players holding out demanding raises forcing trades across NFLhistory.

according to your logic the teams that trade for holdout players demanding raises  don’t need a new contract in place to change the holdout players stance…some how…magically…for no reason

Forget Aiyuk ... the discussion is Reddick    GB didn't bring up Aiyuk.   Nobody brought up Aiyuk

Reddick ...

What advice do you give Reddick?

Here is my logic ... NOBODY WANTS TO PAY REDDICK

REDDICK WAS GIVEN PERMISSION TO SEEK A TRADE....  NOBODY WANTS TO PAY REDDICK

AIYUK HAS TEAMS WILLING TO TRADE FOR HIM AND PAY HIM... SF ISN'T PULLING THE TRIGGER
