If I felt compelled enough I’m sure I could find even bigger more obscure and stat that applies to such a small sample.

It is 10 years that  is not a small sample lol.

Right..the whole world knows you like to do everything the hard way.  It's why as a guy, your wedding was stressful.

You want to win a SB with a midget QB, with a weak arm and bad field vision....because he brings the intangibles in the weight room!

The alternative would be doing things the easy way? Just trying to be better at what everybody else is trying to do. The Head Sheeple?

So the key is how we performed under Wentz’s incredible MVP season he had before injury? The Wentz run O was the key stat to apply to the Foles SB winning game?

Let’s say we had the 11th ranked passing O….and AJ was out injured most of the season…but returned for the playoffs….how does that apply? We can’t win because of the stats we got week one?

Or…we have a top passing O and Lane goes down injured to start the playoffs?

The SB game where Foles and Brady set the record for passing yards in a SB you really want to use that lol…. Clearly our passing game was still really good even with Foles at the helm

Does it say you can’t win lol no it just shows a trend that most the nfl champs in the last 10 years have had good passing games

I don’t believe in applying week one stats much at all towards winning it all at the end.

But wasn’t really that good with Foles before that game. But sure…our O was great that SB. Our undrafted RB that the scouting report stated couldn’t be a receiving RB went for over 100 yards receiving that game.

2023...KC, SF, Lions  all top ten

2022..Chiefs,  Eagles, Bengals

2021 ... Rams, Bengals, Chiefs,

2020... TB, Chiefs, Bills

2019... Chiefs

2018... Pats, Rams, Chiefs

2017...Pats, Falcons. ( Eagles were 14)

2016... Pats, Falcons, Steelers, Packers

This is the trend of teams in the top ten of passing yards.  Ultimately when you need the points vs good defenses at the end ... they are tough to run on. The passing game needs to be there. At least where you need to make a play.

We can do everything the hard way... try to be the smartest guy in the room ...afterall it absolutely fits Howie.   Howie and Ham have that in common for sure.

For me, that's when I think Howie has made mistakes, when he tries to be the smartest guy in the room instead of doing the obvious things.

You mean when we dismantled the Vikings lol and he had 350 yards and 3 tds lol

While their passing O struggled for the first half of last season if you recall. Mahomes really struggled to do what it seemed AR finally got through to him can work in the SB win against us. But it was a very hard adjustment and lesson for Mahomes to learn. But yeah…no doubt the most infrequent SB winning type of team would be the Ravens suffocating D year.

Ironically...the Chiefs have had a top ten passing offense each time!

It shows that the 22nd ranked passing O is an issue.  All those top 4 teams that weren't top ten...were pretty much right there.... not 22nd out if 32.

QB dropped dimes...on 2nd and 3rd reads... not so much jump balls to AJ

You can see here...45 yard TD pass into triple coverage ...you make the call.. was it more QB or WR?  Or DBs being clueless?

To me: be the smartest guy in the room fits for trying to be better at exactly what everybody else is trying to do. Is there ever any thoughts by you when you have any other questioning? Can you only really be so single tracked logic that the best and only way is to follow the herd and try and get up front of the Sheople? Is it just that unthinkable for you to see trends of the league going smaller and smaller with more finesse and speculation players….to actually just see value in taking advantage of doing the opposite?

Here is another dime.... lol.   smith WIDE OPEN for Easy TD... the beautiful throw led to a tush push TD.

So if a team can’t stop you running the ball…how often does each team that day playing football win that matchup? I didn’t research the stats even because I already know that in all of football history this is a dominating stat that applies to winning football…at all levels…in all decades.

2 passes ... 90 yards and a TD .... tell me your eyes see good throws from a QB?    This is what some idiots think that Hurts outplayed Mahomes?   LOL

Which team has won at the end of the season... due to running the ball in a dominant fashion ... in any championship game or Superbowl... in recent years?    The opponent wouldn't make it that far if teams were able to run the ball on them like that?    It's been why Lamar hasn't done squat in the playoffs yet vs any good team.  He hasn't been able to pass yet when it matters.  A good team.. in a win or go home game... won't let the other team dominate them running the football.   There will be some success running it... but ultimately they will force you to have to pass on key plays that you need to stay on the field or score.

That's life now... no longer 1970s football.  Run, run, pass punt.

So we’ve all noticed how the LBs have evolved. I’ve been talking about my theory of really just getting a bunch of S and them being interchangeable through all the middle of the D. This is something I’ve been theorizing since I first came to this board…the original. Not to pat myself on the back…but it’s really just becoming more and more the situation. I don’t even think they’ve even gone far enough still. So I still think my theory hasn’t even been truly realized in the NFL yet. Yet to me this differing outside the box approach has always been such an obvious solution. I don’t even have any doubts it’s been happening…but still hasn’t even gotten to the levels I’ve theorized.

I think successful people understand the environment.   That there are things you can't force.   There are fundamentals that won't change.  In the modern football game... you will have to convert 3rd downs vs good teams in late January and February... those teams will not be physically dominated ... you will need to pass the ball when it matters.

Back on subject ....as the issue remains... is our QB good enough passing the ball to win when it matters?   WE shall see, but that is obviously the concern.

Wasn’t a doubt about he massively outplayed Mahomes. You are stretching your Hurts Hate to just terrible levels now reaching. Mahomes didn’t really make much of any spectacular plays that day. His stats and all are fantastic. But he wasn’t doing the jaw dropping spectacular plays I totally admit he’s capable of. He just actually listened to great coaching. He took easy uncontested short passes the whole game. Plus he had RBs contribute very well. We had the dominating rushing attack all season….that game was so terrible coach had to pull the playcalls that even had a RB on the field.

That’s just one reason week one stats aren’t very relevant to SB success. I’d take a team that was terrible in whatever stats early on in the season but grew developed and became dominant at the end. Maybe this comes from so many years rooting for AR. He really priortized the whole season big picture over the short term week one success.
