I'm shocked it is actually going to happen. Weird as hell we haven't heard a thing about Covid in the NFL in a few weeks...almost since Stafford.

Honestly, I don't know how this will end.  The NFL has done a good job with testing but with winter and flu season around the corner.  I don't know if they can stop an outbreak from possibly occurring.  The Super Bowl has never been cancelled but we've had "Strike" seasons. I wonder could the crisis delay games if there are outbreaks or issues.  If a player gets it, he's out for 2 weeks right?   Washington won a Super Bowl off a strike shorten season.   They only played 9 regular season games in 1982.   This year, it's really week to week for me.  I have no idea how this will play out.

Schuy is not a troll.

I didn't say he was.  But, it was a troll post.  If it becomes a pattern, then we can discuss whether or not he's a troll or not.   But, there's no question that he posted that to be a troll in that moment.    If he were a troll, I'd have put him on ignore and moved on.  But, since he's not a troll, he gets chided for the troll post, and hopefully he grows from it.

So what's the move made to add Huntley?  Guessing one of the guys going on IR.

Haven't heard much about it in the MLB either recently. We'll see it should be interesting. They are starting to get my hopes up even though I swore it wouldn't happen. Guess we just enjoy every game we get to watch the kids a bit.

Can’t be. They have to cut someone. I’ll guess Ford or Singleton

4.37 and has a bigger build at 193. Not bad. Return man, rec skills and very nice agility. Seams like a nice pick up to try out.

Yep. I'm probably not getting Sunday Ticket this year because of it. I don't want to spend that money and go through the hassle of trying to get a refund if the season is cut short. It's going to be a very weird season with no fans in a lot of places.  Part of me wants the season canceled because it isn't going to feel the same and I don't think the quality will be there (at least not early on).  There's another part of me that wants football regardless. But, ultimately they need to do what is safe for players, coaches, staff, etc.

My guess is Craig Davis.

And we lost three...

James? They are already pretty light at CB

Eskin is wrong.

Reuben is wrong.

PUP players can start the season on PUP, then there's a window where they can practice with the team (starting in Week 7, I believe... but as late as week 10 or 12, I think) and test the injury.  I think they get a few weeks to work out with the team and practice, during which time they are evaluated.   Before that window closes, the player either goes to the active roster, or goes to IR.

There's no guarantee that a PUP player will be activated, and players can't sit on PUP the full season.

They just gave him an extension and is one of only 5 CBs. I don;t see James out. It will be one of the 6 Safeties or 6 LBs.

They could just put him on the practice field for a few plays. Im sure he will injury himself. It not there is always the baseball bat method.

Dick Rod

Also has KR experience

Huntley may be a bust or a HOF player. Im just gonna say, I dont really like how it seems they are obsessed with finding another sproles. The backfield can be very good without a Sproles. 31 other teams at any given point didnt have Darren Sproles and yet theres been good backfields and running games.

I really think we need to move on and focus on finding the best RBs rather than finding the closest thing to Sproles.

Key difference, Roob is talking about PUP/active, you are talking about PUP/reserve. Also in your example they never come off PUP

Yeah I don't blame you even though Sunday Ticket would be good for a time like this.  No Tailgating, No Fans and Bars at limited capacity.  But I agree, you want to get a full 16 games not a shorten season.   I just think trying to do a "Bubble" like the other sports would of taken some planning but they decided to just test heavily and let the cards fall.

ok

Huntley is the type of player you want as a #4 RB. He contributes to special teams and can be used on 3rd downs. We got a better version of Killins for free.

Huntley pickup giving me Kamu vibes from a few years ago. Undersized, great athleticism, developmental qualities for position, will be a plus on STs until he develops.

Isn't that Scott's role?

Huntley probably kicks one of the other 3 off the PS too. Probably Warren or Killins

Because we suck.

Yea, I meant James.  And if not for his contract pointed out by DbE below, I could see that 5th CB spot filled easily enough again before the end of the week.  Of all the other position battles, CB gives you the most flexibility.  Theoretically.

Yea, forgot about his contract.  You may be right.

Gotta think Killins. Word coming out of camp was that Killins wasn't great at tracking the ball on returns (which is supposedly also backup up by his college tape). Huntley seems like a better version of Killins.
