  • Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

Don't forget the Uggs

Get a switch. You can play Mario kart in the back seat of a sport coupe.

Minivans have their place. In my house it's the wife's side of the garage.

I don't hate driving the Odyssey. But I much prefer my sedan.

We had minivans for about a decade when the kids were young...definitely hard to beat the convenience. Both were Town and Countries, and they SUCKED in the snow. My little cheap, crap beater cars were better.

The best feature of my sedan is that it's paid off.

I've got three about to enter college years.

I do fine, but I really want to retire with the freedom that independent wealth brings.

Im on my second consecutive 3 year Outback lease...gonna buy the next one in about 18 months when my lease is done and hopefully keep it for a decade lol. Having a new car all the time was nice, but outside of trips neither of us drives enough to justify it anymore.

I gave my son the Crosstrek, it had 7,000 miles on it. Gonna buy my daughter the same car next year and then they are on their own lmao.

If there's one thing I know it's that MAGA loves when their chosen one hedges his bets.

I'm sure the kids will enjoy paid off college more than mom and dad having new cars.

I switched jobs a bit ago and am driving more than I used to. That said, the Accord has like 85k miles and runs great - barely broken in.

I really want to get an M340i, was hoping my 16-year-old would embrace driving so I had an excuse 🤣. My 14 year old (will be 16 next year) though is eager.

yeah we're set up so that they should have minimal if any college loans to deal with.

not that they'll understand enough to appreciate it. maybe when they're in their mid-20s and see their friends and colleagues all struggling with student loans. I know though when I was going to college I barely thought about my student loans. I was mostly thinking about getting laid (unsuccessfully)

One day they will. It'll just take time. Nothing like hearing your friend complain about a 200k student loan debt while you're buying your first house debt free to make you realize.

The greatest thing my father did for me was saving so I didn't need to take loans. Now, since he was paying, he decided what we would pay for - a list of 8 schools, and if I didn't get in, I had to go to the U of D and become a chemical engineer. Luckily, I got in early to Penn and he paid the bill.

he's a junior, pretty introverted but has his close circle of friends. he also wants a warm weather school. we're actually advocating for him to pick a big school .. the premise being that the student body in smaller schools tends to be pretty cliquey, pretentious, and entitled relative to larger schools. that wouldn't work for him. while plenty of cliques and entitled kids go to larger schools, there's also a lot of other smaller nerdier cliques that he would I think fit in better with.

I have a friend that paid for all 4 of her children's college. blink We paid for my daughter's 1st year, and helped with the savings I was still contributing to for the rest. She did her master's on her own. Had everything paid off by 35.

My son pays half of his tuition, we pay the other half. We have plenty put aside to pay the whole thing, but he makes a ton of money right now and took it upon himself to pay half. He'll get a great graduation gift lol

We will pay undergrad in full for both kids. After that is going to be a case by case basis depending on what they want to go into (if required.)

We'll take care of both of our kids undergrad. Also, I'm planning on putting Greenskeeper through school.

That'll take 8 years minimum.

More. I think he needs the Billy Madison treatment.

What do you want from him Mr. TDS? He isn't a future teller and he STILL was able to narrow it down to lower, the same, or higher.

Several U Del professors live on my street. For your sake I'm glad you didn't have to take your fall back option lol

Hey guys. Today proved times are tough. We only need to go to the office Tuesday through Thursday but since I was going to both drop off and pick up baby girl from pre K (7:30 to 11 am) I thought I’d go in for a half day and charge up the Mach.

Well other people had the same idea because EVERY free charger was taken. This never happens. Gas must be up to twenty dollars a gallon. I had to go home and charge my car there, using electricity from my own solar panels. furious
