In my house it's the wife's side of the garage.I don't hate driving the Odyssey. But I much prefer my sedan. We had minivans for about a decade when the kids were young...definitely hard to beat the convenience. Both were Town and Countries, and they SUCKED in the snow. My little cheap, crap beater cars were better.

I do fine, but I really want to retire with the freedom that independent wealth brings.

Having a new car all the time was nice, but outside of trips neither of us drives enough to justify it anymore. I gave my son the Crosstrek, it had 7,000 miles on it. Gonna buy my daughter the same car next year and then they are on their own lmao.

That said, the Accord has like 85k miles and runs great - barely broken in.I really want to get an M340i, was hoping my 16-year-old would embrace driving so I had an excuse 🤣. My 14 year old (will be 16 next year) though is eager.

I know though when I was going to college I barely thought about my student loans. I was mostly thinking about getting laid (unsuccessfully)

Nothing like hearing your friend complain about a 200k student loan debt while you're buying your first house debt free to make you realize.

Now, since he was paying, he decided what we would pay for - a list of 8 schools, and if I didn't get in, I had to go to the U of D and become a chemical engineer. Luckily, I got in early to Penn and he paid the bill.

April 13Apr 13 I have a friend that paid for all 4 of her children's college. We paid for my daughter's 1st year, and helped with the savings I was still contributing to for the rest. She did her master's on her own. Had everything paid off by 35.
April 13Apr 13 My son pays half of his tuition, we pay the other half. We have plenty put aside to pay the whole thing, but he makes a ton of money right now and took it upon himself to pay half. He'll get a great graduation gift lol
April 13Apr 13 We will pay undergrad in full for both kids. After that is going to be a case by case basis depending on what they want to go into (if required.)
April 13Apr 13 We'll take care of both of our kids undergrad. Also, I'm planning on putting Greenskeeper through school.

April 14Apr 14 Hey guys. Today proved times are tough. We only need to go to the office Tuesday through Thursday but since I was going to both drop off and pick up baby girl from pre K (7:30 to 11 am) I thought I’d go in for a half day and charge up the Mach.Well other people had the same idea because EVERY free charger was taken. This never happens. Gas must be up to twenty dollars a gallon. I had to go home and charge my car there, using electricity from my own solar panels.
