No, he saved them 297 million. Of course you people started freaking out it wasn't going to be green looking and disgusting. Too blue!!!

You're assuming that the coating is a permanent fix and not a temporary bandaid. The previous proposal was expensive because it was a complete rebuild of the site. If the reflecting pool has significant cracks in the concrete, then a surface coating isn't going to fix it. It will just be a temporary band-aid for a few years.

Also, it's also possible that adding this coating to the bottom will cause it to stop being a reflecting pool. If the coating is too bright, it won't absorb the light and act like a mirror anymore. It will just look like a swimming pool.

  • Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

who did that?

Trump. Was supposed to be 300 million. Read it's going to be 3-4 million now the way he's doing it

They are sealing the cracks and adding a coating. Worth a shot but glad you have it failing before we see.

It not working doesn't even enter the equation for DH. But hey, then it will only be 304 million total and a few years wasted.

Obviously. This is Trump's wheelhouse, don't fix the wall, throw some wallpaper over it for the open house. This is also probably a case where the 300m included an upkeep lease while Trump just got his hotel pool guy to do it on the cheap. Hey, if it works congrats. But it's rudely dishonest to call this "Biden's 300m swimming pool".

And that's why ya'll call him Liehard.

So they never spent the 300m, which you're glad about, but they are spending the 400m, which you're also glad about? Both are things that will never in any way effect you or materially help the American people.

And I read Trump's ballroom wasn't going to include a dollar of taxpayer money.

Yeah, but do these numbers improve when people are told that their tax money will go towards a future Kid Rock venue?

This reminds me of when Tim Walz asked why Trumpers are so weird about everything. They really are. When it was local statues to confederate traitors, our monuments were untouchable pillars of history. Then Trump drapes the nation's most iconic architectural treasures in gaudy nouveau riche barbarities and it's like "i voted for this!"

There's just nothing there. Look behind the curtain with these people and it's just empty. Debt? Biggest deal in the world to who gives a F in a few months. War. Staunchly against it, any war (even one's we're not even fighting in) are definitely going to lead us to WW3 to we need to start new wars in a few months. Affordability, same thing. Taxes, same thing. Same with what you're talking about, respect for the past. They don't actually give a sheet about any of it and they never have. There's nothing there with these losers except this weird vicarious life that they're living through a old rapist with dementia. For the most part it's just a bunch of divorced guys who feel like they failed in life and this is all they have. Literally, this is it. So there's no way you'll ever get them to tell the truth because they've got nothing else so they might as well go down with the ship.

Instead of giving a list we'd disagree on I'll say it's truncated thanks to the RINOs in the Senate which is why I mentioned many of us will be staying home in November. That being said if it was just the border that is worth the price of admission for me.

Translation - "I Diehard have nothing to add to the list other than the border." Thanks for clarifying.

Don't you make me shed a tear for him! That's so sad, but rings so true.

I never said it’s going to fail. Why do you constantly put words in other people’s mouths? I said IF the concrete has significant cracks, then the coating won’t fix it, it will just be a temporary bandaid.

The only person making proclamations here is you. You proclaimed he is saving the taxpayer $297 million. So you are claiming that this is a permanent fix before it’s even done.

"They are sealing the cracks”. Sealing cracks only works if they are thin surface level cracks. If they are thick/deep cracks, then sealing won’t fix it. It will just be a temporary bandaid.

It'll be the Bellagio fountain before Trump's done with it. And it'll cost half a billion in taxpayer money and it'll still break in a few years.
