  • Some quick thoughts on "Liberation Day," also known as "Liquidation Day." Obviously, these tariffs are way beyond anything the market expected. I think very little of Trump and the administration

He’s posted it in 2 threads, it’s ALL he’s got…

Trump did something stupid and it pissed some people off. Yay!

If he brings up any one of 100s of other idiotic things trump does, the conversation ends with magats wearing the helmet of tears.

Historical Inflation Peaks (Post-1913 CPI):

  • WWI Era (1917–1920): Peak 23.7% in June 1920.

  • Post-WWII (1946–1947): Inflation peaked at 18% in 1946.

  • The Great Inflation (1970s–1980): Peaked at 14.6% in March/April 1980.

  • Recent High (2021–2022): Peaked at 9.1% in June 2022, the highest in 40 years.

You getting excited for that 40,000 acre data center? Seems Utah has a lot of beautiful land that can be destroyed.

Not one bit. Like I've said often there isn't one good GOP in Utah. All POS. That valley is beautiful with lots of dairy farms. Shame. Cox is full of crap that it won't impact the lake.

40,000 can't be right. I can't even fathom a data center being that large. Must just be the total amount of land the weasel bought.

I keep reading that and have the same questions. It's going to be large enough that scientists think it could raise the temperature in the area by 8 degrees in the day and 20 degrees at night. Kudos to you for knowing about it.

But yeah he called the protestors in overalls (farmers in the area) paid protestors from CA. On top of water concerns for residential use the farmers know they are about to get screwed as well. They are also full of crap that it won't dump more polluted water in to the Great Salt Lake, but they already have arsenic dust clouds in that valley being tracked by the U of U, so I guess they think it won't matter.

This is probably a bad sign heading into the midterms

As a country we have go to start pushing back on the "paid protestor" thing.

Sometimes that happens. In this case it was middle aged or older farmers in overalls pissed off for good reason that their quiet valley is about to be destroyed. It looks like Amish Country in the late 90s with mountains around it.

I could venture a guess.

Has that ever actually been proven?

All I can say is in this situation it was total BS, but that's how the GOP roles in Utah. People are bought and paid for here on a level that's shocking. It's one of the most beautiful states in the country (which shocked the crap out of me the first time I visited) and they are destroying the crap out of it. That data center is just one thing.

Hey man, maybe it isn't as simple as Left vs. Right, huh?

I don't know what you are talking about. I've bashed the GOP in Utah on here more times than I can count.

You voting against them next election?

BREAKING: Poor uneducated trump voters in AGONY

🚨 🚨 🚨

It's wild how we're 1.5 years of GOP control in and it keeps getting monumentally worse. How is this even possible?
