March 19Mar 19 Hegseth said "there is no timeline" in today's briefing. Slowly but surely they move from "couple of days" to "a few weeks" and now to not providing a timeline at all.

Trump knows he's boxed in and he's already turned the majority of his supporters to the cause, so all he needs is a way to shift blame. They just need a big story terrorist attack and they'll move in.

He's been fighting his urge to cut and run since day 1, you can tell. But all they need is one attack that breaks through the headlines and we've already had how many Iran inspired shootings? I'm not sure exactly since they've mainly stayed under the radar. But since Republicans own the mainstream media, all they need is one to come along at the right time and they can ensure that it dominates the headlines, then they send in the troops and Trump claims he had to do it.

March 19Mar 19 Remember the good ole days when Tulsi was a libertarian, former military, surfing in a bikini Hawaiian who's major selling point was not getting into foreign intervention or regime change and war? Good times.

He just had a presser and praised Trumpy as the only person, besides himself, who knew Iran was going to be the biggest threat after the overthrow in 1979. He knows exactly how to guide Trump by kissing the ring to make him happy. The only other person capable of this type of deception is sitting in the Kremlin.
March 19Mar 19 As suspected some countries have pledged to help in the Strait. Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, and Japan all signed a joint statement. Of course they offer no details on the timeline or the mechanisms. So saying "yes" but with the effects being a "no" or "super limited".

So saying "yes" but with the effects being a "no" or "super limited".I think the damage is already done when it comes to Trump’s childish and false view of the "allies”. It seems he is actually relishing in the fact that he can now claim that having allies is worthless because they won’t support the US in time of need. Question is also how long it will take for "help” to be there in WZ (minesweepers etc.). Of course he is omitting the fact that certain air bases are being used as a hub for the operations. He’s just a clown that knows nothing about foreign policy or the way the military actually works.
March 19Mar 19 am i wrong for not feeling bad for the iranian regime while thinking this is neocon 101 and will bring us endless years of paying to prop the country back up?

We're assured of that at this point. Either we'll send in the boots and get bogged down there for years, possibly decades, or he'll cut and run and we'll be dealing with the effects of a more radical, less stable Iran with the same ruthless regime in control. With the latter, another President will probably end up going back in because Trump's style is always destroy sheet, make it worse, run away and hide, pretend it's over, let someone else clean up the mess.

These are not serious people.
