I think the damage is already done when it comes to Trump’s childish and false view of the "allies”. It seems he is actually relishing in the fact that he can now claim that having allies is worthless because they won’t support the US in time of need.

Question is also how long it will take for "help” to be there in WZ (minesweepers etc.). Of course he is omitting the fact that certain air bases are being used as a hub for the operations. He’s just a clown that knows nothing about foreign policy or the way the military actually works.

It's gonna be a mess no matter what. We're assured of that at this point. Either we'll send in the boots and get bogged down there for years, possibly decades, or he'll cut and run and we'll be dealing with the effects of a more radical, less stable Iran with the same ruthless regime in control. With the latter, another President will probably end up going back in because Trump's style is always destroy sheet, make it worse, run away and hide, pretend it's over, let someone else clean up the mess.
