May 10May 10 I see State Farm is still blocking the Strait.Another two weeks should straighten things out.
May 11May 11 Welp, there goes crude oil again. We are just about running out of time before a brutal second half of the year.
May 11May 11 "With control of the strait, Iran emerges as the key player in the region and one of the key players in the world. The roles of China and Russia, as Iran’s allies, are strengthened; the role of the United States, substantially diminished."

But honestly, taking the L would be the best result for us in the long run. Walk away, pay the toll, get the troops out of harms way and then in a few years maybe a competent administration can negotiate something long term.

Seems to me Iran is dead set on taking Trump down politically as it would be the best deterrent for future attacks. That means not giving him anything that even resembles a deal he can sell as victory. Trump is caught in a vise, his threats mean nothing and he has no control whatsoever of the narrative. I don't see any other outcome than he will burn through whatever is left of our munitions, take out some infrastructure, maybe Kharg island, and go home.

As much as MAGA pretends that Trump playing the "madman" game is effective, it isn't. He lets adversaries cross red lines constantly. He lies about it of course but that doesn't change the fact that they know he's weak. Weakness dressed up as lunacy is still weakness.

He'll blame the victims for not "taking their country' and MAGA will lick the spoon and slurp the doggie bowl with a straw.
