I'm flying to Riga on Sunday with my wife, her brother, brother's son, and old grandma (left Latvia on a fishing boat at night when she was 8). Putin is threatening Latvia the last week or so and they've had two days this week with air raid sirens due to drones hanging about somewhere over the Latvian border. At least one was a wayward Ukranian drone. Putin's claim is that Latvia is hosting Ukraine and their drone pilots in Latvia so they can hit deeper into Russia. Putin says they will do what is necessary. The NATO summit is in Sweden today and tomorrow.

May 23May 23 Oman, the true bellwether of who is actually winning in Iran, is already deep into negotiations with the IRGC over the permanent toll of Hormuz. If this deal is struck, The US and Israel get completely blocked out of influence in the region. E.U. will have to go hand in hat to negotiate prices with Iran/Oman. Says a lot that they would rather do that than clean up Trump's mess.
