Thank you buddy!  Appreciate all that you do

Thoughts on Von Miller on a 1 year chase the ring deal?  Would it be better to have him or BG?

Either you’re purposely trying to not understand that in 2026 and 2027 they have four core defensive guys they have to pay. By doing that CJGJ now they save money for those years to pay those guys. That doesn’t include the fact that you are going to pay jurgens and a chance where you have to do another hurts extension as he’s the 10th highest paid Qb and will ask for more money.

They got out of the CJ Gardner Johnson contract a year before they had to because it saved them money to do extensions in a year from now and two years from now as opposed to Giving less Money then to guys who they consider are the building blocks going forward.

Furthermore, if they went out and gave Reed Blankenship an extension because he needs as he’s a free agent at the end of 2025, you think CJGJ is gonna be pissed off seeing that Blankenship is getting paid more than him, he didn’t get the extension he feels he deserves and he probably believes he’s better than Blankenship to deserve it? So they also potentially got out of a problem where CJGJ demands a new contract after seeing Reed getting paid and creating a potential issue. And if you don’t think that’s a factor go look at why they didn’t sign anybody during the season that would’ve caused a distraction.

Yes except he wasn't even a typical FA, he was some guy that the Bills had no use for on their PS

Cine was a terrific college player and high draft pick who got hurt as a rookie and never fully recovered. We basically got him for nothing. Is he healthy now or is he another JR Reed?

Stop trying to make Lewis Cine a thing

I know you're half-kidding, but he was a stud at GA (I know that can be a double-edged sword based on all the talent...was HE one, or a product of others) and got hit hard by injuries since drafted. Will be interesting to see how he's healed and how he does in camp. I don't think only he and Brown will be competing for the starting spot when camp opens.

Question no one has discussed that I've seen...

Why is it that two guys who live together both have such issues with injuries?   Avonte Maddox and Dallas Goedert are best buddies, roommates and both struggle to stay healthy.  Is it possible that their nutrition isn't up to snuff?  Or they don't take care of their bodies as well as they should, but play too much nerf wars?

They haven't lived together for a couple of years.

So at 4pm all the teams start tweeting "It's Official", "Signed", etc.?

Howie has been very adamant that the Eagles will not sign a player that has a history of violence against women. While the charges were dropped against Miller, he was still suspended by the NFL. I'm not sure we would sign him given that.

I'd still prefer Becton back. Green can be a reclamation project for Stout.

Getting Becton back would make me feel sooo much better

X was being attacked yesterday, so that's (likely) why it wasn't working then. If you have to do a screen shot of a tweet, include the link with it  (if it's not too much of a pain to do so). Hopefully, it'll be resolved before too long.

We had problems before X was supposedly attacked yesterday

I get that and I don't care. In two years Johnson will be gone and SB and Brown will be older. I keep saying it but the you don't get the future people keep saying the same stuff back. They had to lose some FA. That's fine, but CJ and some of these other moves that may be coming with DG aren't something I agree with. Put the best team they can and worry about the massive contracts when they have to.

Burks was the first ok....CJ was like WTH....DG and whatever other moves are too much. I'm worried about the future, but not to the point they take themselves out of contention next year. People thinking they are just going to plug all these holes and it working out along with having depth aren't realistic.

They are about to trade/cut Goedert when he's going to cost them a $21M dead cap hit.

And yet he hasn’t been traded yet. maybe it’s because the Eagles are not going to just trade him away and take a $9.9 million cap hit along with 21 mil dead money. Why it’s a much harder trade to get done. Why CJGJ got done so fast.

I understand him being a dart throw, and that's fine. He costs nothing so why not? He can spend the offseason at the facility and see where he shakes out with the rest when TC begins.

It's the "Eagles traded CJGJ because they have Cine ready to go" takes that are driving me crazy.

Yes, but nothing was embedding for anyone for a large portion of yesterday. So yesterday can't be used to figure out our issues.

Is Jermaine Johnson available? I'd definitely offer a day 3 pick for him. Would allow Howie to keep collecting 2022 1st rounders.

I think it was clearly about the money, and possibly wanting Brown to win the job.

If Cine is going to put it all together, it's more likely to happen here than anywhere else. Coaching + being with his guys from Georgia. I doubt they are counting on it, but it would be a welcome surprise.

But he can bring back the swag CJGJ took with him

Easier said than done, but I'm sure that is part of the plan.  However,  Stout may end up being the best ever, so there will likely be no replacing him.

His assistant since 2017 went to New Orleans to be Moore's 'Run game coordinator'.

The question came up yesterday regarding who the true "CORE" are.

I suppose your expectation is that Carter, Mitchell, DeJean and Smith are the 4 being discussed.  BUT, what about Blankenship or Hunt?  Is Blankenship part of that core?  Could Hunt develop into part of the core, or is only one of the EDGEs truly the 'core'?

Or, would they be guys to keep around only if the price is 'reasonable'?

Also guys couldn't visit teams in tampering period so anyone with medical concerns would probably have a visit setup

Can he insult someone so egregiously the refs give the victim a free punch at him, because that's CJGJ's level.

You don’t care until you get the 2026 and 2027 and we lose some of those guys. Then you are complaining we don’t have them or why we didn’t lock those guys up over lesser guys.

The Eagles are making a plan so they could be Super Bowl contenders for 5 to 6 years by maneuvering and being smart with their money. Meanwhile, you wanna just go all in on 2025 because you don’t care what happens in 2026 and 2027. I’m guessing that’s a BS answer because if we did what you wanted to do (didn’t win back to back) and we got the 2026 and 2027 and they fall off a cliff you’re gonna be one on here complaining about why did they have this downfall and lose some core guys. I guarantee it

also, Dallas goedert hasn’t been traded yet. You wonder why he hasn’t been traded yet? Because that contract is really hard to maneuver and trade because they don’t obviously want to take a $9.9 million cat pit along with the dead money. So that trade is going to be super complicated. It’s why he’s still here. Frankly I think they would’ve got that trade earlier if it cleared cap and wasn’t a complicated contract

furthermore, they’re not gonna be able to plug in all the holes. You have to hope that the passing offense isn’t gonna be ranked 30th next year. Because if the pass offense winds up being top 10 that’s a drastic improvement and gonna help up for some of your decline on defense. The defense was very unlikely to be back to back years number one defense. They were always going to have some sort of regression. Especially knowing sweat and Williams were leaving and Dean was out for most of the year in 2025 (frankly Burks might just turn back into a pumpkin in Cincinnati). Frankly we avoided major injury on defense until Dean which also unlikely to happen back to back years. there’s a good chance there was gonna be a regression on defense and there’s a chance that injuries catch up to them, they don’t win in 2025 but at least they went all in on 2025 and potentially screwed themselves in 2026 and 2027 with guys we really should not want to lose
