Teams I could see pursuing Goedert: Titans, Chargers, Jaguars, Panthers.

I wonder how much Fangio's retirement timeline is going to affect the decisions they make on defense.

I keep wondering how Howie and Lurie would value guys like Baun and Dean without Fangio being the coordinator. Would they think Baun and Dean would still be the same players without Fangio?

I'm kind of surprised the Eagles seem so eager to let Goedert walk. If they go dumpster diving in free agency (Ertz, Fant, Hooper, etc) and draft a TE or two I get it. If they make a big splash for a young guy like Otton or Likely I get that as well. As much as I like Njoku signing someone like him over Goedert is just strange since most often teams will go with the devil they know over the devil they don't know.

I just think there is a wide difference between always listening to offers vs not being able to know what budget you are working with when FA starts next week. There is a disconnect there. Always listening shouldn't be preventing other operations.

Did I miss something? what's being prevented?

I'm hoping they squeeze every bit of info, analysis and wisdom from him as possible. If Clint Hurtt is the apparent successor than they should be attached at the hip. Even learning the meatball recipe, get it all! lol

McLane reported last week that speaking to agents of Eagles with uncertain futures (aka free agents), the indications from the team was that they expect a resolution regarding AJ Brown by the time free agency starts and they would have a better sense of where things stand for their clients.

Today, Garofolo said something similar. "With less than a week to the start of the negotiating window, #Eagles TE Dallas Goedert is positioned to hit free agency for the first time in his career. Sources say the team has expressed interested in re-signing him and the sides will continue talking in the coming days. However, Howie Roseman has a few balls in the air (e.g. A.J. Brown) that are affecting budgeting for his pending free agents. There are some moving parts that could change on a few fronts in the next few days.."

If they can't even talk numbers or budget what to spend on your own free agents, that's a pretty big wrench with free agency less than a week away with guys like Phillips, Blankenship, Goedert etc idly sitting by.

I mean that could be that he is trying to work out an extension with Davis.

@vikas83

Thought this was funny. Not only was Spotrac wrong about his deal already voiding, Jake Rosenberg was also wrong about the post June 1st.

He’d be the best QB they’ve had in an embarrassingly long time. That’d be a win for them, especially in a bad draft class

Damn. Why is that contract so ugly? Is that from the void years?

Cincy is such a clown show. Personally Im shocked they won 6 games last year.

Obviously depends on price but assuming they would all cost the same

Knox

Goeddert

Njoku

Mayer

I don't think njoku would be bad IF be came cheaper than goeddert

would you also include Isaiah Likely from the Ravens ?

I think he's gonna be in a different price range than all these cats, goeddert might be close cause he had a monster year but he's got a long injury history

I'd be ok with that. I want the Jets to be better than the Giants. 😊

I'm in favor of letting Goedert walk because I also feel they NEED to cut costs on offense, even if it requires personnel concessions.

But I'm curious if anyone wants to trade AJ AND let Goedert walk. I feel that doing both would be suicide for this offense.

We don't even know what "this offense" really is ... yet.

I can only describe it with 1 word. Dominant.
