I know he only has like 2 sacks last year but I believe he’s a FA and thrived in a Fangio style system. He'll be 32 and is too much of a pass rush specialist than I think Fangio would prefer. It's also safe to say he was a headache behind the scenes in the locker room and probably with Howie as well.

I'm good with drafting one, but they need a vet and Pryor can't be an optionIf they do end up drafting an OT in the 1st round, that's your guy. They could also re-sign Fred Johnson if he gives up his dream of starting elsewhere. But otherwise they may need to look at the guys Stout was developing. Last year they drafted Myles Hinton and Cameron Williams, they have some other backups they've acquired and developed but doesn't seem the answer is there.

I have hope for Williams but we didn't hear much about him even though he was said to be slated to go Rd1 this year if he returned.

They have to believe this is Lane's last year coming up so they have to make this move either this year or next year. We talked about it for a few years now but we really have reached the last chance to avoid having to take one which would be next year.

That's been my priority, but I'd rather them not reach for one vs getting a good CB/S/WR/Edge that drops. That's why I want them to bring F Johnson back on a 2-3 year deal and maybe Williams develops or it gives them time to get one next year. He's not amazing, but he's solid, which is a lot more than Pryor.

We've had a top shelf RT for 25 years save the few years between Runyan and Johnson when Herremans did an admirable job filling in. I think there was one year with Winston Justice as well.
March 10Mar 10 Ya can't reach for Lane's replacement if Lanes's replacement isn't there.Gotta go Edge or CB, IMO, with the 1st day draft pick.I'm fine with Epps and Mukaba as the starting Safeties. Not great, but good enough.

He didn't have a good year last year but the Commies defense was just garbage overall. When you sign a guy like that you hope someone beats him out in camp, but he's fine veteran insurance. I think he has more upside than Adoree. The final option is if Slay wants to come back for one more season, he hasn't retired yet.Ugh, no. Lattimore is absolutely cooked. I wouldn't bring him in as a paper weight.

March 10Mar 10 Other than losing Reed at that price, this off-season is going pretty well. We're going to be able to sign our core guys in 2027 and 2028. We will have more 2027 picks. If this year is bad, then we can pivot off Jalen and Sirianni in the off-season. Optionality is back!

But between the chances of the right OT falling to them or falling to within trade up range (considering all the mid round picks they have), it really should be the priority.

I don't really bother looking into the draft too much until we get into April and i can't really follow college that well given the time difference. Basically I'm out of touch on 95% of the players coming out of college at this point. That makes it a bit harder to understand the nuanced thoughts in free agency but people in here do a decent job of pointing out the important stuff. If there are no RTs worthy of being a Lane replacement then it sort of means next year is going to be a critical year for finding someone AND I would think the OL picks will be at G/C to add depth and hope one can move into a starting role down the line.

If not this year it becomes priority #1 next unless Williams takes that step after 2 years, which it seems he has the talent to do. They still need to address guard at least once in this draft. I think they have a few good center possibilities from last year. The Rams were pissed we got the short guy and Kendall played well vs DC
March 10Mar 10 If I had to guess… top 2 picks will be WR/TE and OL. The offense sucked last year and it wasn’t just the coaching. I can’t imagine there being an edge rusher available at 23 who will start over Smith or Hunt.
March 10Mar 10 I'm not super excited about the 2 WR names theyve met with for the draft so far.Antonio Williams is just solid. Looks like a good separator, but no YAC.Feels like both Indiana guys are just solid as well. I do like Cooper more than Sarratt. And I feel like Cooper can be like a Doug Baldwin type. Not super flashy but just super reliable. In that way he is a guy that I've felt can replace AJ Brown in a way. As far as being a reliable slant and hitch guy, get some YAC. But certainly not in stature and just being a physical mismatch, and probably not in star power that makes D coordinators spend extra time planning for. There are much more exciting prospects in this class to be looking at than those two though. Both of those guys seem like they'd top out as #2s. And I dont like them in the 1st round.Cooper late round 2. Williams in round 3. Even then there's probably other WRs I'll have ranked above them.

If they stay at 23, there could be someone that falls they didn't expect to be there. This may also be good draft to trade back.
