I'm not a big fan of Howie but even I know we had to let people go because we were planning to pay Carter. Then Howie somehow struck gold with Cooper and Q and those will be costly as well. Someone will be let go in order to pay Cooper and Q because there's no way we're letting them walk

I don't think he trades him for less than a 1st and 3rd. I mentioned the rams with Adams and 13. I could see them doing that but i doubt rams include 13. But dealing Adams saves the rams $20 mil cap. It made sense that rumor this weekend was the rams were trying to deal Adams and get brown. I think it probably be more like Adams and 13 for our late 3rd and aj. That said i think it’s really unlikely regardless. I think rams want brown for like a 2nd then deal Adams to get a 3-4th back.

Guessing this will be an "up to 10m" situation. No way they gave him 10m.

The losses in Howie's "terrible" 2025 offseason were almost all on defense - CJGJ, Sweat, Williams, Slay. He did such a terrible job that the defense went from giving up 17.8 points per game in 2024 to 19.1 in 2025 -- from 1st in the league to 5th. The regression was on offense - 27.2 PPG in 2024 to 22.3 PPG in 2025 - where we brought back 10/11 starters. And despite some idiots' claims, Steen was fine. The issue was Steen was somehow our most consistent lineman. Dickerson and Jurgens were shells of themselves, Mailata wasn't as good and Lane missed a ton of games. But what should we have done - brought in new starting LG and C? That's ludicrous. People are crying just to cry when not looking at reality.

The organizational failure in 2025 was hiring Patullo, along with arguable extending Jurgens. You can crush the FO for that if you like. The depth edge singings didn't work, and Adoree took time, but the defense remained a top unit despite the losses. Facts matter.

I'm ok with things so far even though I think 5 million for a safety would have been the better move. I get tired of people saying we have to sit on our hands though at the same time.

I thought they'd sign either him, Deebo or Jennings. I don't think this signing impacts the AJ Brown situation, but if they signed Jennings it would've had my eyeballs perked up a little bit, because he's a higher volume catch guy and likely would've cost a lot more.

Now re-sign Fred Johnson, Epps, go trade for Greenard and I think we're good until the draft.

I dig it. We have a great trio and I like Cooper.

Agree, but point it out with a counterargument, don't just say Howie won us a SB and is above reproach, and stop crying if you don't like what he's done. To be clear I trust him and while I would have liked other moves and think he gets too cute at times I haven't been overly critical. It just bugs me when people say we have to sit on our hands. That's ridiculous.
