There was an article I read this morning on bleedinggreennation that breaks down how much the Eagles can save over the next 3 years by trading him this year. They can save 113 million in cash payouts over the next 3 years. That alone is why I believe he could be traded. It helps locking down the core players on defense. I'm a big fan of AJ. I don't want to see him in another uniform outside the Eagles but that's a good chunk of change to spread around

There's no guarantee the Pats are going to hold out or change their draft plans to land him. If they get a guy they like in the draft and bring Diggs back on a lower deal, AJ will be playing his last year with the Eagles this season. Pending the trade deadline. Maybe a desperate team offers Howie what he wants

Can draft OG, C and other positions. OT in next year's class.I remember a few fans thinking Fred would not sign here because he wants to be a starter.
March 24Mar 24 Fred and Epps made too much sense to bring back. Fred isn't amazing, but gives em solid depth so they don't have to feel pressured to reach for an OT in the draft if there isn't one they love. Go get Ioane or just go BPA.I had Fred, Epps, and another Edge(Greenard?) on the checklist before the draft. Edge I think is the last remaining shoe to drop before the draft.
