Patullo had support among the players and coaches. I don't know if they had added someone else it would have made a huge difference. If the o-line had been completely healthy, maybe the run game probably looks a lot better. In some ways the change that happened because of the failure of Patullo may have a better chance of leading to another Super Bowl.Sirianni's leverage to select coaches should've been gone after the Brian johnson year. Literally any experienced playcaller gets us farther in the playoffs and probably the one seed. Dude was in over his head from week 1 and it was criminal to waste that team in a weak ass NFL.

Despite his larger frame for an OLB, he can play in space well enough for Fangio. His profile as a pass rusher is more of a power game, which is their cup o tea. Hes just their type.
March 26Mar 26 This team needs adequate safety play. I think a first round pick on a safety is a very bad use of resources. We have a huge OL problem. We have a developing WR and QB problem. We have a brand new offensive scheme that may not have pieces in place. I’m just not sure what a top flight safety is going to do for this team versus a merely good safety. And the vast majority of safeties that come out of round 1 are merely good ones, not game changers. This team needs MUCH more than a good safety right now.

March 26Mar 26 Memphis offensive tackle Travis Burke, a 6'9", 325-pound prospect, showcased elite size and solid athleticism at the 2026 NFL Combine/Pro Day. He ran an official 5.17-second 40-yard dash, recorded an 8-foot-11-inch broad jump, and a 27-inch vertical jump, earning a 9.09 Relative Athletic Score
March 26Mar 26 Anchors away!Note: Stukes is a Safety, Parker2 is a Guard, Heidenreich is a scatback and Tanner will be traded for a 2027 pick. I wish I could’ve fitted in a developmental CB, but that isn’t the strength of this draft.

March 26Mar 26 If you are going to have 3 stud CBs, but nothing at safety, then the CB greatness is all neutered. That flaw showed up at times during the season and prominently in the 49ers game. The last line of defense can't be running around like headless chickens like they did in the playoff game. No impact moves there will keep this from being a superbowl defense. Which is how you should analyze every move in here. Does it get us any closer to the main goal?PFF scores-Makuba-57Carter-57Epps- 56I like these guys as our depth. Nothing more. Need to land 1 legit NFL quality safety and hope for the 2nd spot. Right now you are hoping on both spots. Howie has cut corners at safety for a long time. Should invest more here with quality like you did at CB two-years ago and LB in recent years. That has elevated this defense to the next level. A late 1st rounder for a difference maker who makes plays would be a solid move, considering you have nothing certain there now. Actually missed CJGJ and his big plays when he hasn't been here. Won't have to revisit this for many years if you get it right. I want at least 1 bona fide competent safety back there.

I don't think they did.......but wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong lolIIRC, they both had a minimal impact. But to answer your real question, neither of those things had any material impact on our ability to sign players.
