It's hard to see how she was the only one flogging this story into the trade deadline last year, being mocked by other reporters, and not think it's because she was trying to curry favor with Vrabel.I'm not sure how me asking to clarify what you meant by "she didn't report Rams at all until after they were out" makes me Dianna when there's tweets of her saying they are in and pushing for Brown. If you don't consider tweets to be "reports" then fine. I do as that is basically what sports reporting is in 2026. It's Schefter Breaking News tweets and used to be Woj bombs.I'm not even defending her. I'm pushing back on this power you and others seem to think she has which I just don't. She's nothing in the grand scheme of things. I don't think anything she says or does has any meaning to Howie Roseman or other GM's. She's just some floozy putting words out on twitter for the general public.

Brown, but will not trade Brown at this time, multiple league sources tell The Athletic. Both teams in recent weeks discussed trading for Brown, whose frustrations in Philadelphia were a running subplot of the Eagles’ 2025 season. While the Rams and Patriots remain interested, no move is imminent. If a trade were to happen, league sources say it would likely heat up closer to June 1.She never reported that the Rams were talking, only that they HAD talked. And Schefter clowned her for not reporting that it was the Rams that were close to a deal. For someone who was BREATHLESSLY reporting every nugget she could on AJ Brown, she decided not to report that the Rams were close to a deal? And then reported only after the talks died that they took place. She, and the Athletic, didn't report the Rams interest at all until (i) the deal was dead and (ii) RamsWire reported it on March 13 (https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/report-rams-patriots-making-strong-191243134.html).Acting like she was reporting an ongoing competition between the Pats and Rams is ridiculous. She never did.
Friday at 07:54 PM1 day One guy I still think is being severely underrated is Dani Dennis-Sutton. Dude is a game changer. PSU sucked this year but he stood out. He's bigger and longer than most of the Edge guys but also faster and quicker. Had 8.5 sacks last year and this year6 foot 5 1/2 and 256 pounds4.63 40 6.9 3 cone which is what really stands out to me. Maxx Crosby was 6.8939.5 inch vert131 Broad

It's not that inconceivable that in the same day the Rams showed interest that went above just checking in, negotiated, then backed out. I'm just going to assume you don't count tweets as reports because she clearly says in the tweets that morning of the 13th the Rams remain interested and then Rams are making a serious push and talks were on going. Not reporting Rams and Eagles were close is a different point.Like, the yahoo article your linking says in the first few sentences "According to The Athletic, the Rams and New England Patriots are two teams that are "making strong pushes” to trade for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, who has been the subject of trade talks all winter." That article even uses Dianna's tweet from earlier that day as a source. So saying the athletic or she didn't report rams interest until after RamsWre reported it while RamsWire is literally using her as the source of their story doesn't make a lot of sense.
Friday at 08:37 PM1 day Sadly, think this means AJ is gone for sure. The moves they have made now collectively go beyond addressing #3 and #4 receiver
Friday at 08:38 PM1 day Worth noting he's under contract for $3.6M so the extension is basically 2 years, $15M. $7.5M per year average
Friday at 08:41 PM1 day I hope this doesn't prevent them from drafting a WR early. Wicks is not that good. He has talent, but has not realized it yet and he is not remotely close to an AJ Brown replacement if they do decide to go that route.
Friday at 08:45 PM1 day I predicted after the Mannion hire that the Eagles would trade for Wicks. I thought it would come during the draft though. Wicks is a maddening player. He can get open, but he drops passes and has some lack of attention to detail that kills his QB (see the Slay interception against GB during the Super Bowl run).

Friday at 08:52 PM1 day There is a ton to unpack with the Wicks trade. First off, I love the move in a vacuum. Wicks has a lot of potential and is still really young at 24. Second, when I saw they traded for him I thought for sure it would be a 3rd round pick so getting him for a 5th and future 7th is great value. Third, they say to follow the money and giving him an extension for 12.5 million isn't nothing. Fourth, you would have to think that Mannion really likes him and feels he can thrive with him in charge of the offense and in a bigger role. All of this tells me they feel like he can be a high end number 3 WR, if not a number 2. Lastly for those holding out hope that AJ Brown wasn't getting traded it might be time to come to terms with reality. They now have Smitty, Wicks, Hollywood, and I still think they will draft a WR on day one or day two, and Moore, Cooper, and Wilson are also in the mix for depth spots. The WR room is starting to get a little bit crowded.
