All the AJ haters better get on this guy when he drops the ball like you did him, even though he had what, 3 drops in the entire year?

Wicks will be dropping 3 a game

Ah good old thrash, pinkston, Kevin Curtis, Reggie brown and one year of stallworth

Better than signing Doubs for big money, I suppose.

Not really. Doubs actually catches the ball

Seems like that's what they're building towards with Hollywood and now Wicks.

Makes sense. WR depth has been a real issue for us and Mannion got production out of his entire WR room last year.

Wicks is a great route runner, but has terrible hands.

Would be shocked if AJ is on the team when the season starts

We don’t even know that. There could be assorted guarantees, including for injury only. There are lots of ways to inflate a figure.

Sure, guarantees matter. I was just posting as a baseline. I've seen a lot of people confused thinking he's making over $12M for one year which why I clarified.

So does that mean Devonta Smith is James Thrash or Todd Pinkston? Think before you post.

Smitty, Wicks, Hollywood Brown, and a draft pick is a nice group of 4 WR's. They are obviously looking to spread the ball around more and replicate what GB did with Doubs, Watson, Reed, and Wicks with the exception being that Smitty is clearly the best WR of all of those guys.

LMAO, I see the AJ meat riders are coping hard as reality is finally starting to set in for them.

He’s WR3 right? So he’ll be lucky to get any targets.

I think Tanner McKee is going to be traded. Not necessarily because of the Andy Dalton move, more so because he won't be here in a year and Howie will want to maximize value before he walks for a comp pick that likely will be much worse than any trade compensation. But I think Howie is going to want as many picks as possible and I don't think he'd give up picks for a flier in the offseason unless he thought more picks were coming in. And yes you could talk about an AJ Brown trade, but those picks would be in 2027.

But Howie has been known to give up picks on flier trades in the past, so who knows. Just seems weird to make this trade right before the draft. Why now?

Yeah man, we are really going to miss out on the next Trevor Keegan or John Hightower.

That would be Malik Benson territory. Bad trade.

Could’ve been Sam Roush, smh.

Having Smith and Brown at the same time is a luxury most NFL teams don't ever have. There are a few teams that have 2 studs at the same time but it's certainly not the norm in the NFL.

Smith, Hollywood Brown, Wicks + draft pick TBD + whatever you can get out of Moore, Cooper, Wilson is clearly a step back from Smith and Brown but it's not the worst WR core in the NFL. It's probably still above average.

With a worse qb. Can’t be good for business

What WR has the coach developed? If he sucks at catching now then I don't suspect he'll be better at it later

Depends on who that draft pick TBD is. If it's Jordyn Tyson or Chris Bell or KC Concepcion or possibly trading a high pick for Brian Thomas Jr? I'd agree. If it's 4th round WR... I don't think they are making the playoffs with that WR room.

Hollywood Brown stinks let's be real, Elijah Moore stinks, Darius Cooper has proven nothing, and Wicks is very meh. I know sometimes when a team makes a bunch of dart throws tends to skew the view of them and it's kinda like "Eh well, one of them will probably pan out" but in reality, most probably won't. At least not to the level you're hoping for. We saw it with CB last season, Adoree was average at best, every other dart they threw at it absolutely blew. That draft pick TBD would need to be a premium pick or a trade for a premium WR with a pick.

Yep. GB had no problems making a passing game work with Doubs, Watson, Reed, and Wicks, and Kraft at TE. I'm pretty sure the Eagles will be more than fine with Smitty, Hollywood, Wicks, a draft pick, and Goedert at TE. I still think they are drafting a WR on day 1 or day 2 who could have a significant impact in 2026.

Having only Smith as a real commitment past 2026 while also needing to get cheaper on offense makes me think this move doesn't change much in regards to the draft.

Dianna Russini has been put on leave while the NYT investigates her and found concerns with her reporting.

I still don't get why they didn't just wait two weeks unless some other team was trying to trade for him. Once you get this close to the draft you usually want to see who is available and how the draft shakes out before dealing a pick from it. Makes me wonder if they got a good feel of who will be available at their first round pick and it isn't a WR they are interested in so they know they aren't going WR in round 1 and decided to trade for Wicks.

Or maybe it means nothing and it's all coincidental. Seems to be strange timing though.

DeVonta Smith is light years better than all these guys combined.
