When I was a teenager I hit 105 in my aunts Corvette with my uncle - it was like 1985 or 86

I hit 115 in my Mitsubishi Lancer one time when I was going through Nebraska or one of them Midwest states wheres theres nothing for miles, I upgraded to a Evo in 2008 and got as fast as 120. now THAT was fun

I just looked my car up. Max speed is 130, not that I have ever approached even close to that. I guess if you put performance tires on most luxury sports cars, that would bump up the speed a good 10-15 MPH.

Mine is 140, but you probably have a governor like me preventing that

Not that speed but 90 in a 45. That's still pretty excessive

I’ve driven through some pretty bs highway "construction zones” where the limit was 45 and it looked like nobody had been out there working in a month.

135 anywhere is insane.

12 days until June 1st boys and girls!

I’m starting to get excited. I don’t think Boutte makes a lot of sense because we’re 6 receivers deep now, but what are final predictions?

5th in 2027 that can elevate to 3rd based on 2026 production, and 2nd in 2028 that can elevate to a 1st due to 2nd year production is my guess

In my youth I drove an XKE up to 160 and it still had something left although I didn’t. I drove my Honda CB750 flat out and the indicator was against the peg. I’m sure it wasn’t 160 but it felt faster. The road gets narrow at that kind of speed. That was all 50 years or so ago. These days I’m an old fuddy-duddy.

My father fixed cars for a hobby so my first car was mint condition 1969 RS Camero Convertible with a 350. I was 16 when I took that out for a speed drive. The car shook like heck at 120 but calmed down around 125...I slowed down at 127 because I didn't to push my luck.

Fast forward, I was driving a 2008 Yaris..yes a Yaris. I entered a freeway and had been on the road for about 1/3 mile...I was still in the slow lane...cars were flying by me. I looked back and there was a CHP with the lights on me. After stopping me, he ask how fast I was going...he told me he clocked me at 89 mph. I told him that a Yaris doesn't even go that fast off a cliff. CHP officer didn't laugh...but the judge did.

Mannion speaks to the media today. I’m sure he will go to great lengths to explain his scheme to us.

What's the over under on how many times he will be asked about passsing over the middle?

They should ask him how he plans to get AJ involved enough to keep him happy just to see him squirm

Last time I drove that fast I was getting road dome from @hputenis

FYP

Fastest I ever did was around 135 on the turnpike when I was probably 19 or 20.

But I do drive to fast in general. I'm wired to do 79 on the highway.

Nolan just got caught, and it probably isn't the first time he's done it either. You don't randomly feel like going 130 one day

While I don't disagree it's a pattern, I can see a dude snapping and testing the theory of relativity on the highway.

Well if you think about it, at least this time he didn't double it, so the dude is making progress.

Hit 150 on the autobahn before. It was neat. Doing that crap on a standard highway is dumb as hell though

It was reported several weeks ago that Fangio was a bit advocate for Kuper and played a factor in him getting the job.

A bit of a bizarre quote. Is the implication he hasn't been putting the work in because he's not as passionate about the game anymore? Or is a generic throwaway coach speak line?

More cars on the autobahn by far than some of the highways out west.

Not based on what he said at the presser. More like, hey, he was with Vic a few years, let’s ask him.
