I'm not ranking these, but 5 needs to be changed to Carter missing a wide open net in OT from point blank range.

The Hurts fumble was in the second quarter, not the 4th.

Doesn’t even belong on that list anyway considering how well Hurts played in that game. If you want to stay in that game, it’s the Bradberry call at the end.

And I think McNabb against Tampa in the ‘03 NFCCG was more crushing than Super Bowl 39.

Probably should go to rehab before going to Training Camp.

Any members here watch the fog bowl live ? I was born in 1990 so I obviously didn’t lol.. Recently watched a doc on it and forgot to ask your guys’ thoughts. That would be a hard friggin loss to get over man, the game shouldve been delayed but both coaches agreed to play on so what are ya gonna do 🤷‍♂️

The idea the football gods "cursed” or punished Buddy Ryan/Mike Ditka that day for their feud is an amusing thought to say the least - the way the fog cleared immediately upon the games completion.

I did, and yes the game should have been postponed.

Mahomes has to facepalm himself with some of the morons on that team.

I think Hurts and the Eagles shouldn’t be on the list. I get that what happened later doesn’t change the moment, but a player and team that eventually got over the hump 2 years later should disqualify them from the heartbreak rankings.

I don’t even think it would be in question today, let alone up for the coaches to decide. The league would shut it down citing safety concerns or something lol

Upside is definitely a consideration. Dalton has a below average arm and is a below average QB at this point in his career. McKee has more potential. He has a better upside and would give them a better chance to win games. I don't know what his trade value is but we do know that teams asked the Eagles about trading him. I think the only way that Dalton is the back up is if McKee is traded. Finally, McKee is going to be gone after this season. The Eagles hope to get a comp pick when he signs with another team. What are the chances of that if he's demoted to the 3rd string after some supposed camp QB battle where 70% of the snaps will go to Hurts. Sure if McKee has to be sport starter and is bad, he will be demoted but absent that he's going to be the number 2.

I think back up QB is up for grabs. McKee is not a shoe in. Comp pick? Maybe a 6th. Maybe. If Hurts is healthy all season any supposed value McKee has dips further. If McKee was truly valued by the league he'd have been traded already. His value is limited as is his skill set. The game he played last season against Washington truly knocked him down several notches, unfortunately. Wish it hadn't, but it did. Showed a lot of his limitations.

Well, to say we watched the fog bowl is a bit of a misstatement. We watched the fog with occasional glimpses of football.

The Tampa NFCCG loss for me was the worst of my lifetime. There was too much hype and expectation about destiny and "their year" because it was the last game at the Vet, Tampa had never won a game in cold weather, we had a strong winning streak against them. Also if they won, they would have played the Raiders again in the SB. It felt fitting. It was a natural progression from making the NFCCG the prior year and losing to the eventual SB winner. That one didn't hurt. The following year losing to the Panthers when we had garbage at WR, McNabb got hurt in a cheap shot and all that, didn't hurt as bad it was just another let down. Losing the SB didn't even hurt as bad because it was only by 3 points against the dynasty Patriots, and TO made his recovery to play. They were in it and had a strong chance.

They should have beat Tampa and went on and could have won that SB against the Raiders.

The 1980 loss (though I was only a toddler then) was not as bad any any modern loss in a championship game since. That team overachieved and finally grew to win games after a long drought. I was more disappointed in the 90s Buddy Ryan teams. Despite having an amazing defense and talent on offense, they didn't win a single playoff game, while we watched Dallas win 3 Super Bowls and had to hear about it for a long time. The Eagles should have had a SB win from that team, and 1 from Reid's team.

That's why I respect even more that Lurie and Howie built 2 different Super Bowl winning teams withing 8 years of each other with different coaches and rosters.

The game should have definitely been delayed. I watched the fog on TV. You couldn't see the game.

I agree about that Tampa loss. That was really their year to win the SB. Even though they want a lot of games and even went to a SB after that, the Tampa loss was the first sign and inkling that it just wasn’t going to happen for that group.

Meh. I think this is all song and dance gymnastics and random noise. There probably aren’t teams seriously jumping in now at this point and likely to top the Patriots offer. It’s all just smoke to push against the narrative they had a loose deal in place for months.

I wasn’t aware that up to this point teams could "protect” 2 home games from being international home games each year. Next year that won’t be the case and the matchups should greatly reflect that. I’m sure the NFL is dying to get some more divisional rivalries overseas to even better sell their product.

All this "new team in the mix for AJ" stuff seems like lame last minute jousting attempts by the FO to squeeze every last drop of leverage out. 🥱

Not a fan of PFF stats but interesting
