I just use AI to create flyers for work.

Anyway let’s unban all the banned posters. This place needs some more personality

I’m willing to give that a try.

@HazletonEagle Looks like they did add another WR and it was Danny Gray like I called.

3 RBs and no TE on PS is the only surprise

I suspect 3 RBs is only temporary

I’ve been getting "likes” from @olsilverhair lately. So he clearly has access to the Blog. His "likes” have been laughing faces … either at me, or what I said, or both! 😎😎😎

He can't post. He can only read and like post

Lmao with that being said, what is a bannable offense here ? I have to imagine like blatant racism which isn’t cool obviously. But it’s shocking(no pun intended lol) the amount of people I weren’t aware were banned. It’s a new season, give folks a fresh start and see what happens lol.

Hate speech regarding anyone. We have had some really offensive antisemitism from @djbigf.

He was banned from the old board. There was none of that it the blog

Mike and 4x4 got banned and weren't allowed back. If we are opening the door....

🤣

Yep. If he's coming back only fair to let Mike and 4x4 back then

I draw the line at a point where 4x4 and Mike are below it. They were sub-basement folks. Kind of like the black wraiths in the movie Ghosts.

Once the new board was created, all posters had new life here. Some just never made it over. Others like beastfromtheeast came back but disappeared again. And then RTK got a bunch of others banned with his race baiting.

I might have missed it then. Like I said earlier I rarely check in on here during the summer. Also there are some forums I don't go to

@mattwill are you doing predictions this year?

I will record the season record predictions, but I won’t be doing the weekly score predictions. Someone else will need to do that. I’m willing to share my tracking spreadsheet if anyone wants it. Just PM me.

Your group of trolls got banned for being obsessive stalkers. What they did to VABeach's YouTube channel was disgusting.

lol he is and that’s why the thought of letting thousands of us at em at one point , in a single forum is still funny to this day. But he’d downplay any criticism and say crap like Reggie brown and Ryan Moats are the next big thing! Oh and who can forget Sean Considine put on 15 lbs this off-season 😆

You were banned for wishing injuries on Foles

Those banned guys would ruin the forums trolling and fighting with each other. Now y'all are talking about them for pages. Let it go. Didn't one of them harass VA? nonono

Anyway real Eagles football coming soon. What trade will Howie make before the first game? He gonna sign Ertz?

I'll start the mayhem. Stowers is a bust

@mattwill your persistent comments about my negativity sufficiently irritated me to partially accept your challenge. I took your position-by-position 2026 comp and analysis of lineup holes and ran it by Chatgpt, Claude, and reddit message general NFL discussion board....only issue is reddit didn't take the bait and the boards for specific team auto-restrict any Eagles content.

Your take (mostly cut and pasted):

We have no holes in the 22 starters.
QB: Improved because Jalen Hurts will now run more with new OC.
RB: RB is stronger now than it was 12 months ago. Barkley improved this year over 2025 due to longer offseason. Bigsby improved over last year due to more time with the team.
WR: Wicks caught 30 out of 44 targets last year with an 11.1 YPC average and is not a hole as WR2. Cooper in the WR3 slot is not a hole. Losing AJ Brown offset by his toxicity being removed.
TE: TE2 is an inline blocking position and is not a hole with Mundt. But overall less talented this year.
OC: improved because Jurgens is healthier and has better depth.
RT: Improved because Lane Johnson was injured last year and not this year. Bell is better depth.
LG: Improved. Dickerson health is a question mark but position improved because better depth.
LT: Improved with same starter and better depth with Bell.
RG: Improved with another year experience for Steen and better depth.

DT: Improved because of more experience for the starters.
DE: Improved and more talented with Greenard.
LB: push. Still with Baun. Lost Dean replaced with Campbell.
CB: Improved with new CB2 and more experience for Mitchell/Dejean.
S: push.
In summary: no holes. About 11 positions/groups improved. About 1 step back. About 3 pushes.

The ask: Hoping some non Eagles fans with some separation from the situation can help settle a friendly debate with your perspective on the Eagles roster, specifically with the comparison of upgrades vs downgrades of 2026 versus last year. (I won't tell you where I fall on this debate). Grade the take, -10 being negative, 0 being spot on, +10 being homertastic bias.

ChatGPT:

I’d score this +8/10 homertastic.

The Eagles still have an elite, contender-level roster. But the analysis uses an asymmetrical standard: every favorable projection is booked as an upgrade, while injuries, aging, uncertainty, and major departures are minimized.

Group

Neutral verdict

QB

Push / possible improvement. More designed runs may help Hurts, but a new system isn’t automatically an upgrade—especially with a first-time OC installing major changes.

RB

Push / slight improvement. Bigsby’s added familiarity and Barkley’s longer offseason help. But Barkley is now 29 after 280 carries, so "definitely improved” is too confident.

WR

Major downgrade and legitimate question mark. A.J. produced 78 catches, 1,003 yards and seven TDs. Wicks had 30/332/2; Cooper had 9/92/0. "Removing toxicity” might improve harmony, but it doesn’t replace an elite X receiver who dictates coverage. Official 2025 statistics

TE

Slight downgrade/question. Mundt can fill the blocking assignment, but Stowers has been hurt and Calcaterra is on IR. The fact that Philadelphia has considered further TE help tells you the position isn’t entirely settled.

C

Slight upgrade. A healthier Jurgens plus improved depth is reasonable.

RT

Push / slight upgrade. Healthy Lane is enormous, but Lane is 36 and Bell remains a promising, currently banged-up rookie—not proven depth.

LG

Push. Dickerson potentially being healthier helps, but his durability remains a real uncertainty.

LT

Push. Mailata is still elite. One rookie swing tackle shouldn’t be counted as a separate upgrade at both LT and RT.

RG

Slight upgrade. Steen’s additional development and better interior depth make this fair.

DT

Slight upgrade. Natural development from Carter, Davis and Ojomo is a reasonable projection, although another birthday doesn’t automatically equal improvement.

EDGE

Push / possible upgrade. Greenard has the better pass-rushing résumé than Phillips, but he had only three sacks in an injury-shortened 2025 and is currently returning from a pec injury. It’s promising, not yet bankable.

LB

Push. Campbell’s upside and extra experience can offset Dean’s departure. Fair assessment.

CB

Clear upgrade. Woolen plus another year for Mitchell and DeJean could make this an exceptional trio.

S

Downgrade/question—not a push. Blankenship departed; Epps was predominantly a backup last year; Mukuba is returning from a broken ankle; and full-time safety depth is thin. Safety has repeatedly been identified as Philadelphia’s biggest weakness. Current depth chart

A more defensible ledger is approximately:

  • Five upgrades: C, RG, DT, EDGE—tentatively—and CB

  • Six pushes: QB, RB, RT, LG, LT, LB

  • Three downgrades: WR, TE and S

And the WR downgrade is substantially larger than, say, improved backup depth at center.

The three biggest homer tells are:

  1. Healthy Eagles are counted as upgrades, while Greenard’s current injury barely registers.

  2. Youthful players receive automatic improvement for aging, while Barkley, Lane and Goedert receive no aging risk.

  3. A.J.’s "toxicity” is used to erase 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns.

So: excellent roster, entirely credible contender, but "no holes and 11 upgrades versus one downgrade” is aggressive Eagles accounting. +8.

Claude:

Fun exercise. I'd score this around a +6: not delusional homerism, but it leans on nearly every classic homer rationalization. Here's the tell — of 15 position groups, your friend found 11 upgrades, 3 pushes, and exactly one downgrade... on a team that just traded a 1,000-yard WR1 and lost its starting linebacker. When every question mark resolves in your favor, that's the bias talking.

Where the assessment is fair:

  • DE/Edge: Legitimately improved. The Greenard trade made an already strong front seven even better — he's earned pass-rush grades above 70.0 and generated 45+ pressures in each of the past three seasons, and Ebiketie adds depth. Though note Greenard missed all of training camp with injury and was activated from the PUP list, with the team expecting him to play sometime within the first month — so even the clearest upgrade comes with an asterisk your friend didn't mention. Pro Football FocusNBC10 Philadelphia

  • DT: The Carter/Davis/Ojomo trio is genuinely elite; calling it strong is just accurate.

  • CB: Reasonable. Mitchell and DeJean entering year three is a real thing, and Woolen is a credible CB2.

Where the homerism shows:

  • WR is the big one. "Losing AJ Brown offset by his toxicity being removed" is peak homer logic. The neutral view: the trade made long-term sense, netting a 2028 first-rounder, but there's no replacing a player of his caliber in the short term — even in a down year he topped 1,000 yards in 2025. Wicks' 11.1 YPC on 44 targets is a WR3/4 stat line being sold as proof he's a solid WR2, and Lemon is a rookie. Chemistry arguments have some validity, but "addition by subtraction" involving a top-15 receiver is a downgrade until proven otherwise. This should be the clear step back, not TE2. Pro Football Focus

  • The health double-standard. Lane Johnson (age 36) is an upgrade because he "won't be injured this year," but Dickerson's health is waved off because of depth. Assuming your own guys stay healthy is the single most common form of fan bias. Also note Hurts is learning a new offense under Sean Mannion with mixed results in training camp — a new OC is a variable, not an automatic QB upgrade. NBC Sports Philadelphia

  • "More experience" as a universal upgrade. Steen, Bigsby, Mitchell, DeJean, the DT rotation — young players improving with experience is plausible but not guaranteed, and it's applied to every single young Eagle while no aging Eagle (Johnson, Goedert, Dalton-tier depth) is assumed to decline.

  • LB as a push is generous — swapping Nakobe Dean for a second-year Campbell might work out, but calling it a wash preemptively is optimistic.

A neutral evaluator would probably say: roster is legitimately top-5 in the NFL, defense probably did improve, but WR took a real short-term hit, and the honest tally is more like 5-6 upgrades, 5-6 pushes, and 2-3 downgrades or open questions. "No holes" and "11 upgrades, 1 step back" is where it tips from optimism into homer territory — hence +6 rather than something closer to 0.
