1 hour ago1 hr I cannot believe they threw Nick out there to deal with that press conference. Either have him do it with someone from the medical team who can speak intelligently about the situation or don’t have a PC. That’s a coward move by Lurie/Howie.
1 hour ago1 hr I don't believe the Eagles did anything wrong based on the current information. I'm free to change my view if new information comes out. As it stands, the doctors cleared him to play. They trusted the doctors. There's no evidence him playing is the reason he has clots in his lungs. That can happen if you work at Acme. People online seem to be insinuating the team should have sat him out despite being cleared. That would mean ignoring your doctors. If it gets to that point, why even have doctors? They tell you if a player is safe to play medically and they(non doctors) go by the medical opinion of the doctors. If information comes out that he wasn't cleared or something and they let him play anyway then I'll change my view. Until then I believe they did nothing wrong.

55 minutes ago55 min The defense is great. And Howie is great. I have been reading that for the last 18 months in here.Eagles defense:Through 6 games in the 2026 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles have recorded 8 sacks, placing them near the bottom of the league in pass-rush productivity (around 28th in the NFL).Takeaways forced: 3 (Tied near the bottom of the league, 29th out of 32 teams).Like Howie, you are trying to sell me a bill of goods. This defense is mid at best. I will give you that. How are Ojomo & Davis doing with sacks? .5 total between both. 🤣 Brandon Graham had 2.5 more than that in 100 snaps, when he got off his rocking chair last year. Playing mainly DT snaps.Carter woke up for 1 game and got 3 sacks. Where are the game changing plays at? The consistency? This is a bend but don't break defense, with no aggression. Looks nothing like 2024. Or 2025. At all! But you keep thinking that. And that it has been awesome. These stat nerds can't see too well.

Thought that was a reason Patullo survived the season. It was never as clear that Patullo was the culprit that wanted to run the offense the way he did. Many people thought, and still think, Patullo ran the offense that Jalen and Nick wanted. 20 minutes ago, vikas83 said:This was Nick's chance to throw the doctors undert the bus. Jeff has a point that the team should pin down a timeline. Imagine how much different the interactiong would have been if he had said, that Hurts was advised by doctors in England that he could play and fly home unless his symptoms got worse. Jalen reported to training staff after the game that he was doing well and his condition was not worse. He was cleared to fly home.

He's not an employee of the team. Whatever Sirianni says does not impact that claim.Well he did have a DVT which embolized/traveled to the lungs and thus became a PE. That's how you get a PE. Once treated with anticoagulation, the risk of progression to PE from DVT is vanishingly low. The risk of SVT progressing to PE is vanishingly low. It really seems this was a more concerning clot all along than what they recognized or missed. But it bears repeating that the docs in London are the ones reading the ultrasound, not team docs.
38 minutes ago38 min With all due respect to Lurie, the Eagles franchise never fails to identify a fall guy. Be it losing, a horrible offense, or a medical situation that appears, from afar, to have been handled questionably. The dust will settle. And Lurie and the Eagles PR dept will do what they can identify the party at fault, separate from them, and do some target practice with the bottom of buses.Blaming docs in London is tricky, as that bundles into the flight home and the narrative that players are getting inferior care with the international initiative.
32 minutes ago32 min From a PR perspective, the matter is closed and they are operating as such. They released a statement. Honestly, getting in front of a microphone is a terrible idea. To have non medical professionals answer questions only a medical professional can answer. And they aren't going to shove a doctor in front of a microphone and have the doctor answer questions, that's not their job and they are not going to out their doctors. And these questions are going to be coming from ignorant people who don't know anything. People have just made baseless assumptions that things are wrong or unsafe based on their own logic and nonexistent medical degrees.I keep seeing "I can't believe they let him play with a clot!" Based on what? How are you even qualified to have an opinion on the matter? In my view they've done nothing wrong and a bunch of emotional people have developed a mob mentality and it's snowballing based on feelings and narratives totally misguided in the first place. The dude had a superficial blood clot and was cleared to play by doctors. This happens in sports. There's zero evidence him playing caused the clot to move to the lungs. Now they're treating it. They release a statement, so did the agent. It's done, they move on. It should be pretty noteworthy that his agent isn't pissed. If she was, she'd be laying the groundwork for some type of a lawsuit or grievance. She's stood by the team's handling of the situation.

The 2 long ass drives to finish Rams games in the last 7 minutes started because of their ineptitude in the first long drive. Again offense sucks. Too easy to excuse the defense, when they don't make plays. No playmakers here.

I mean, I could be wrong. Is Mac Jones starting for them for the rest of the year as well?I mean, they have done it all year long, right? I don't remember their injury report being 25 players deep.Such a bad take. Yes, the 49ers have dealt with injuries through the years and have persevered, but what is happening to the Eagles is unreal. And they don't have a substation to blame.
