And Pierce is below average at blitz pickup, even losing Steele hurt.2) 3 really inexperienced OL with limited preseason snaps who were suddenly thrown into the starting lineup - communication is obviously an issue3) Mannion between the rock and the hard place, they want to install the new offense, but simply don't have the personnel to do so. But if you go to a McKee friendly system, you delay the change for a season. However, you also have to accept that many of the under center plays won't work without a credible running threat.
44 minutes ago44 min This is the problem with the Eagles defensive tackle distribution since last year. Doesn't get talked enough.Jalen Carter: 74 snaps, 94%;Jordan Davis: 41 snaps, 52%;Byron Young: 32 snaps, 41%;Moro Ojomo: 32 snaps, 41%;Ty Robinson: 15 snaps, 19%.

I guess growing up watching The Jefferson’s, Sanford & Son, and All in the Family I am just used to it being used in a comical manner and haven’t ever really taken offense to it. That doesn’t mean I believe we should all post slurs in here trying to degrade people just because it’s amusing either, however sometimes context, delivery, and intent can be misinterpreted.

The argument that the Eagles' team doctor somehow worsened the condition seems to be speculative at best at this point. If he had the DVT prior to getting on the plane, which seems likely, I think he would have had the same course of treatment. He just would have missed one more game this season. This could have been worse than it was. The Maragos case is one where the initial surgeon just did not either diagnose or address a meniscal injury. The surgeon was hit with the majority of the verdict. He was not a Eagles' team doctor. 2 hours ago, eagle45 said:There may be real negligence with the Hurts situation and probably was….but that’s a garbage verdict with the Maragos situation. He ripped up his knee, didn’t do well afterwards, and sued the rehab team for it.A $30m verdict against arguably the most experienced orthopedic joint surgeon on the planet because Maragos didn’t return to prior levels of pain or performance is a total joke. The only failure there was the jury and the malpractice defense attorney. Well, the defendants should have settled the case. Philadelphia is known as a very favorable venue for plaintiffs. Nick Foles testified on behalf of Chris Maragos. My guess is that having the rehab disconnected from the surgeon probably did contributed to the knee not recovering.

Athletes go to a celebrity orthopedic surgeon and then rehab with their team. If anything, that's on Maragos, not the Eagles and not the surgeon.

I always wonder who would have hired Kuper/Mannion, if the Eagles didn’t. Were they sought after? For any Coach hiring, I guess. It’s a crapshoot, I realize. BUT if no other team had expressed interest in one of the Coaches you hired…….thats a tell. 😬🤔

And they are 3 of the most successful coaches in team history. The one time we got the hot name everyone wanted, it was Chip Kelly.Mannion was a total unknown. Kuper, on the other hand, had sucked in Minnesota.

I think they were trying to get Jeff Stoutland to come back. And ultimately, he just didn’t want to for the plethora of reasons. So they got to a point that how many great options did they have left? I understand guys get fired in the NFL and they go elsewhere and they wind up being good. However, the Eagles hired three guys in Jerrod Johnson, Grizzard and kuper (essentially) who all got fired in 2025. So they went from a job where they weren’t good at and got fired. Didn’t have a year or two years after that to build themselves back up. And you just hired them into their positions with an offensive coordinator that has no experience as an offensive coordinator or. as an offensive coordinator or playcalling. Like when you look at it from afar, this was always destined to be problematic.
13 minutes ago13 min I'm not here to defend Kuper. But can he turn Jake Majors to Jason Kelce and Bell into Lane Johnson and Lumpkin into prime Landon Dickerson? This team's OL, unfortunately, went to sheet fast since 2024. Tenure on paper should have lasted much longer. We have a different lineup every week. This is like preseason still. This season is a write-off. Hate to say it, cuz I wanted really bad to believe. But it's one thing after the other. This is just not our year, even if we win the division at 4-12-1. I just have to keep this real. The talent just isn't there this year for anyone to do anything with. Add up the injuries and everything else, it's the knock out punch. This is 2020 revisiting. Its clear as day! Perhaps we have also overrated this team!

To be clear, I don't think either word should be used here or directed at someone, but let's not imply they're in same stratosphere when it comes to derogatory slurs.

And I'll die on the hill that older, more established coaches who have won superbowls elsewhere are often the worst hires. They refuse to adapt with the league and insist on a blueprint that is a decade old. Inexperienced head coaches, IMO, are where you need to look. AR, Siri, Doug...AR was the best of the 3 but he's also the only one that didn't win a SB (here). Siri and Doug never had a plan. I won't say they aren't as smart (AR is no genius, neither are any of them). Some head coaches are alpha planners that integrate everything. The Eagles have a GM that does that. The other danger is mindlessly hiring literally anyone who rubbed elbows on the same coaching staff as everyone's current favorite HC...prime Belichick, AR, Parcells, Mcvay, etc.
9 minutes ago9 min I'm sure we'll get the Jeff McLane exposé after the season. What I want to know is who was the main driving force for Mannion and Kuper. From afar, just my gut is it has Lurie being obsessed with the Shanahan offense to a point of detriment written all over it. Not that Sirianni's system was good either, but everything in the offseason felt very haphazardly thrown together.
6 minutes ago6 min Since Kuper wasn't here last year when the line sucked like a kirby I'm going to put him down a little bit lower on the list of suckiness. At a certain point it's the Jimmies and Joes, not the Xs and Os. A better recipe isn't going to make the chicken shet into a better chicken salad. It all starts at the top. Looking at you Julian. 👁️
6 minutes ago6 min Was thinking about this today, I think the Eagles number 1 choice if they fired sirianni at the end of the year would be Declan Doyle. I think that’s the guy they wanted to be OC. I think they believe he’s an up-and-coming waiting in the wings head coach. That is I’d think they would identify. However, the more I think about it, the fact that he turned them down saying he was just gonna go back to his job then jump at the ravens OC job kind of makes me think he doesn’t love the set up. Maybe that changes if he’s a head coach and he gets some ability to make decision on what he wants out of of the offense and the offensive roster. But I tend to think if Shane Steichen is fired from the Colts that he is likely one of the frontrunners to get the job. Because he has worked with Jalen hurts who’s going to be here in 2027. He has maximized Jalen hurts unlike the other OCs that were here. They can also bring back Jeff Stoutland to be the run game coordinator and offensive line coach. And I think your defensive coordinator is either gonna be Jim Schwartz or Fangio depending on whether or not he wants to continue coaching.
