I've been hesitant to acknowledge this because I 100% believe that our OL personnel sucks and that Stoutland left in no small part because he saw this coming. And I would argue that they are not doing fine with one on one blocking either. But the free rushers and abysmal blitz pick up, stunt management are clearly the biggest problem with the OL and are impossible to ignore.

I still want to give Kuper some excuses because he's got 3/5 of a new OL with zero NFL experience and musical chairs at RB and TE helping with blitz pickup.

But yes....it looks absolutely awful in terms of their readiness to play.

When we are about to pay CB1 and CB3 a ton of money, I view CB2 as a "let's figure that out after we don't have the worst offense in the NFL" kind of position.

With DeJean, we can be entering JC territory here. Where you pay a guy top dollar off of a an injury-filled and poor performing year. He has to turn it around for me, before I start handing out money foolishly. Howie spent money last off season like a drunken sailor.

I think it's more DCs looking at film and seeing a bunch of inexperienced OL learning a new scheme with limited practice time and blitzing the hell ouf of the Eages.

Wait a month or two before passing judgement.

This is an impossible situation for an OL coach, one thing if you know the kids are starting in August, quite another when you're suddenly playing them in October.

And it's not like they're a bunch of ultra-talented high picks who can compensate with sheer athleticism.

It doesn't help either that regular people on Twitter are able to point out that they haven't run a standard drop-back pass from under center all season long, only PA and runs. With that being the case, it's not rocket science for an NFL defensive coordinator to pick up on that trend and send the house every time they line up under center.
