Tbh I’d be shocked if the eagles trade Saquon for anything less than a 2nd. Sheil and seyed made a pretty convincing point about it on their podcast. Add on i think eagles respect Barkley enough and as a leader to ask him if he wanted to be dealt too

😄 Believe it or not. I'm thinking pretty clearly. I bring up the Chiefs alot. They are never afraid to trade anyone, when the compensation is right. Veatch knows how to play this game.

Based on how Barkley looks i can’t see him playing next two weeks. I really think they just sit him out til Steelers game and if someone takes a chance on him for a 2nd they’d do it. However i just don’t see a team giving up more than a late 3rd.

I would sit him, but it doesn't compute with only having Blue and Mitchell (PS) for an NFL game. They really need another warm body at RB at this point if Barkley can't go. I get it's hard to use both PS elevations on RBs, and maybe they don't want to cut anyone from the 53, but 2 active RBs seems ridiculous.

The counter there is during the 2024 playoff run, Dean and BG were injured (Dean got hurt in the WC game, and BG only came back for a few snaps in the Super Bowl). Sweat and Milt were never seen as leaders. Slay and Reed - maybe? CJGJ is a hot head.

I am wondering if Vic's flirtation with retirement was a sign that he's not all in. Felt like he was the one who kept the young guys accountable before based on their comments in interviews.

If the arms race escalates I could see a team saying bleep those picks. The bigger question is which team in the playoff hunt would want him enough

He's got a good sized contract to pick up as well, it would have to be a team that has a serious shot for the next two years. Even then those two years would be his 10th and 11th seasons, I would be looking for a younger back.
