Are you high?

I said the rest of the Jalen Hurts draft, did you read that part? I acknowledged Mukuba needs to get better, but I’m not making any personnel judgments based off the Thomas Peterson/Shane Haffs of the world. It’s not a strong draft, as I clearly indicated.

My goodness, it’s like you disagreed just for the sake of disagreeing. Go to bed.

The things I remember about the 2020 draft:

  1. Nobody on here liked the Hurts pick. Some people wanted to jump out windows

  2. I remember commenting that all the consternation about the Hurts pick hides the reality of how awful a third round pick Davion Taylor was. It was a bad draft haul.

It’s always awesome to see an organization win their first championship, especially a small market team.

I've interviewed Philadelphia athletes before. This is terrible. I had to check if this was AI. Very unlikable dude right now. Setting himself up for a problem.

Calm down bro. He basically said it was a team game which it is. He's got "trash" around him and everyone expects him to dominate while getting doubled teamed and/or held on the play. But, having said that, you can see when he get pissed off, he starts wrecking. Yeah, I wish he would bring that every play

I was calm for awhile. Then I saw reality. It's okay you guys keep being positive. I'll balance it out. There's a lot of red flags that have been going on and I'm pretty good at detecting stuff. Talent doesn't equal great players. There are intangibles in this whole deal. I will wait patiently til next year cuz he already put the disclaimer out that his wrist hurt. Most athletes will not disclose injuries and make excuses. They just take it on the chin and own up to it. He's a little soft. This is what comes with being the big dawg and making $160M in Philly. When you don't put effort out as egregiously as he has been doing you have to trust your instincts there. I do not believe he will be worth anywhere near that contract. Was just my hunch about this whole thing.

I don't disagree with you on his attitude but we knew that when we drafted him. He's a bit of head cae but he has all talent in the world.

He's been banged up and having to deal with a deficient supporting cast the past two years. This year has been especially bad. Nobody respects our edges and it show om film. They gum up the middle with 3 on 2 in the middle and let their tackles go one on one with our pathetic DEs. I'm not sure what you want the dude to do. Literally, the only guy teams focus on is Carter

I was told Ojomo was amazing. I think it's easy to just say all that. Great players impact the game. He takes a lot of plays off and doesn't give the effort. I will agree he misses the eff out of Milton. Which I pointed out a million times when he was coming up for free agency. I knew they would regret that decision. They turned away 2 game wreckers together in their prime. For who? That was flat out dumb. I'm still POd about that. With that middle you could get by with just okay edges.

The problem is that they aren't even just ok. Smith is banged up and Hunt probably shouldn't have even played. Are we talking Epenesa and Ebiteke? Those dudes are scrubs.

And speaking of Ojomo are we sure he wasn't good because he was playing next to Carter? Yeah, I was on the Milton train from the beginning but he was also played next to you know who during his breakout season

One bad year doesn't mean next will be as bad. No team is going to have starting level people at every backup position.

No, you need to have all pros at every position AND all pros behind them as well. So we should trade the ones we DO have, so we can accumulate a bunch of picks that Howie will screw up because he sucks!

We apparently won't compete for years now, worst org in the entire league by far, everyone sucks, blah blah blah. We have one season with an awful record and people are posting the absolute wildest ish I've seen here in a while.

If they find a legitimate NFL coach this offseason they'll win the division again next year by 3 games. Bears, Jags, Seahawks, Raiders all had extreme turnarounds once they found competent coaching. Well the raiders turnaround is just not looking like one of the worst teams in the league for now, excited to see how they look when mendoza is the starter. People severely underestimate the effect a good coach has on a team. Is this roster amazing? No. Is it a 2-5 roster? No. It's a good team, easily a playoff team without a Fing lobotomy patient at HC

I'm not giving you a hard time. This roster is overrated. And have been trying to say. But will see. 2025 draft is close to a 0. 2026 draft is just okay right now. 2024, draft was seemingly great, till Coop laid an egg and Hunt is not a starting edge in my mind. Too small and can't set the edge. And really doesn't finish....a rotation guy. So we have been too generous in evaluating Howie here when you take a step back. We are looking at the past with Howie and assuming this will repeat the same exact way. I need a lot more picks in the 2027 stash before feeling even okay about this turnaround. He's butchered a bunch of picks recently. Let's call a spade a spade.

I didn't think you were. I'm just optimistic depending on some coaching changes

Let's revisit why you need to SELL,SELL, SELL with this amazing one hit wonder "Superbowl" team. Right now we are pretty much left with the bag.

People are looking for shortcuts. And are seeing talent that is not even there. They could be blinded by the Howie factor. Not sure.

2025 Team

Hurts- Sill believe he can be that top 10-15 QB. With blood clots and a potential contract extension, everyrthing is murky here. In limbo here for now. Team has no shot without him in games as seen in recent weeks. Getting dogwalked by mid teams like the Panthers and Cowboys. His leadership is missed and underestimated. And his work ethic. Team has very little of it right now and they can learn from it. He gives you a shot every week. And can still steal games for you in the end. Even with this crap preseason roster we have now.Team is 4-13 with out him. Enjoy! They will be drafting another QB here this year regardless. How high? Hard to say now.

LT- Mailata-regressed a little

Talks about early retirement a lot. Still good tho.

LG-Dickerson- A shell of himself and not here next year most likely.

Got nothing there in the pipeline that's close to reliable for starter position.

C-Jurgens-Was a 1 year wonder at Center and Howie with a massive overpay. Kendall may be the replacement. Encouraging signs. But sure, let's pencil him in there.

RG- Steen. Mediocre. Went from a mauler like Becton to him. As mediocre as they come. Can't move anyone. Goner this offseason.

RT- Bell. Young. He's got that going for him. Needs to gain strength. We just took a huge drop from Lane. No matter how you slice this.

RB-Barkley peaked in 2024. This Is obvious now. Back to Giants Barkley at best. And 2.5 years older from Superbowl, when we play meaningful football again in Sept 2027. Starting to break down like older RBs tend to do.Trading him for any decent picks.

TE- Goedert looks about done and a shell of himself. Often injured. No one ready to take the wings there. Need 2 TEs here.

WR- Best group in the bunch. Nothing great. But solid. AJ was still pretty good in 2024, so we still are little bit weaker from that Superbowl standard.

Defense-

Sweat- Should have kept him. Been spinning wheels since. Greenard. 🤣

MW-A game wrecker. Sorely missed. Ojomo is not him as I stated then. And now. Nice player for a 7th rounder, but not Milton. And gonzo this offseason.

JC- Has regressed and takes plays off half of the time. Isn't even ready in his stance this last game. Embarrassing. $40 million softee. Tired of the lame injury excuses and holding call excuses. Been hearing that since last season. He could care less about stopping the run. His effort is unacceptable and unprofessional for his pay or for anyone's pay. Been overlooked too much on here. May have the talent, but no work ethic like Ben Simmons. Got paid and **** is fat and happy. Doesn't work on his craft. One great year in his career and Howie bends over for it after he spits on someone and is lousy for a year. This is our new leader. 😅

JD- A nice guy and everything. Glorified run stuffing tackle who sometimes isn't even good at that. Never took next step as a pass rusher and has one big albatross contract for less than 50% snaps he gives you per game.

Hunt/Smith- Both look like a flash in the pan. And I'm not resigning either for any significant money. Should be backups like Superbowl year. Never took the next step.

BG- They miss his intelligence, leadership and production.

LB- Oh do we miss Dean!! Tackling machine with great diagnoses of offenses and has elite anticipation. Obviously good in the film room and puts the work in. Even tho he was injured somewhat at times, should have been a keeper.

Baun was amazing in that year. Automatic tackling machine. But not seeing that same exact guy right now. Still good tho. Trading him for a couple solid picks before he's on the wrong side of 30. Campbell is a lost cause in my mind. Let's hope Trotter is the guy. No certain shoo in here to replace anyone. He maybe too small in the long run.

Safety- CJGJ & Blank. Those were the good old days. Howie missed on Brown and most likely Makuba. One big shidd show. How Fangio can't collaborate with Howie on talent assessments here and not see this ongoing huge hole(s) on this roster is befuddling. EMW fell in your lap and you said, nah!

CB- Slay, Mitchell and Coop. What a trio!? Been going down since. Right now only one guy playing like that Superbowl self in Q. Coop may have an injury, but he likely also bulked up too much and is slower. Not as good in read and react right now. That's more mental. So not sure on that whole deal. Think he misses having vets back there as a guide and resource. Woolen is only good at press coverage and not a fit.

Howie missed on Ringo and made a waste of a trade on Bennett. We likely have no succesors on the roster.

In summation, this roster has been stripped massively since that Superbowl of Grade A talent or its retired or has deteriorated at this point. 2 years is an eternity in the NFL. And they are nowhere near a serious contender.

In spite of how positive you would like to be. Lacks the talent and is bereft of any real leaders. They are soft as twinkies. Yes, that was a generational type of roster. But we are nowhere close to that team. And you ask why Howie should SELL SELL SELL? This "Superbowl team" is maxed out and you have to swallow that bitter pill right now. It's been mostly stripped anyway. Let me be clear. I'm not saying Howie will do this. I'm saying he should SELL SELL SELL or he's doing it all wrong. As he's done very frequently in the last 2 Years.

Bravo!

There’s an argument to be made that we are the worst team in the league right now.

Not the worst talent, just can’t get anything to work and the players have either gotten hurt, quit on this coaching staff, or are flat out underperforming.

Defense has quit

Wow. That makes it really hard to root for the guy. Seems like he still hasn't grown up. Surprising that he kind of admitted to being lazy on the field

Also taking a shot at the fans is definitely a choice lol

I don't think he took a shot. I think it was his dumb way of repeating what they all say in the locker room. They only care what happens in there.

Mailata said the same when asked about not making the pro bowl but knew how to properly phrase it.

At the end of the day why would they care what the fans think?

As shown on this very board, we don't agree on anything. We're pretty much nittwitts. Most fans can't even agree on which players are good or bad.

We think we know more than we do and we are mostly irrational.

I include myself in this description.

This is fair but I would also include most professional coaches and scouts in this description too.

Post of the year. No, of the decade. Or is it millenium?

Milton has one sack through 7 games, CHI just put 30 on the patriots - he’s streaky. We just played CAR and I didn’t notice JP at all.

Fans are a big part of the game. We saw how games were during the pandemic when fans weren't there

Jalen Carter‘s comments are not good look IMO. It’s not really the part of not caring what the fans think, but more the statement that Fangio made about his mindset. Losing doesn’t seem to worry him much either and that’s just a terrible view. He might have all the talent in the world, but with his headcase attitude, he could very well be our Albert Haynesworth of the future. Idk, but this could end ugly.

No one was thrilled about Reagor either.

Before you think about all those draft picks, look at Howie’s last two drafts.

Howie typically nails his picks that he takes in the top 10-15. Which is why I think it’s paramount we embrace this tank job right now.

I wonder if in the offseason they're gonna ask DeJean to drop some weight and muscle if they think it has affected his movement ability.

Another team for Ojomo off the board. Still plenty to go.
