I think that’s maybe their biggest question. However I think their defense is still susceptible against better offenses. Simmons helps but i do think they could use some more help. However i think the bears run game can take over a game and help him. Tbh i think every team that’s a contender has issues. Niners are old and can’t stay healthy. Lions defense stinks. Minnesota has offensive issues. Rams and Seahawks might get left out. I think packers have some same questions the bears do with Jordan love and their run game is nonexistent even with Jacobs.

Imo I actually think I trust Ben Johnson more than I trust Kyle Shanahan in a big game.

Oh, the NFC is a dumpster fire across the board. It's why I actually think the Rams could still get it together. There's no world where I trust Kyler Murray in the playoffs, so the Vikings aren't a serious contender. Lions - bad defense and don't trust the Head Coach (he's Sirianni with better PR). 49ers - the injuries have to catch up to them.

Honestly, the team I trust most might be the Packers.

You weren't paying attention at all last season if you don't think he was playing at an MVP level. He was being talked about as an MVP candidate until he got hurt. His numbers were great through 13 games

If Lurie wants an offensive minded HC, steichen makes sense

19 TDs and 8 INTs is not mvp level, and they aren't that great due to his turnovers. He was never in any serious MVP talks either. Also, prior to Jones getting hurt the talk was all about Taylor possibly being in the MVP running and breaking the rushing record. That, and they were questioning if the Colts were legit SB contenders.

That's not entirely true. The overall opinion on someone like Vic Fangio is positive because he knows how to walk the line of telling it like it is without throwing players under the bus. He's also much more open about injuries which is refreshing compared to Nick who won't even answer if a player will practice when the media will see if he is practicing literally 10 minutes later. Vic actually gives good answers that are most of the time, honest. Nick takes it to such an extreme level of protecting his players it comes off as insincere and phony.

Oh, I agree with this. I was responding in context of not having answers in a losing season. Even Mannion said some practical things he's doing to attempt something different, and people mocked him for that anyway. There is no win to any answer when losing. People are just mad and frustrated and no answer makes anyone happy. Even just taking accountability which they always do for years, when it's a losing season no answer is going to make fans satisfied.

Fangio shares real answers and insights. Nick is strangely mysterious often for stupid reasons. Like it's some tactical advantage to hide who the backup QB or new starting O linemen is.

There are opportunities for breaking down plays, understanding the scheme, the evaluation of player progress especially rookies or new starters, game strategy and things like that. But when they're losing, it's just asking them what they have to do, and the answers are always better coaching, better execution, etc. There's not really much they can say. And coaches should be professional and respectful to players and not throw them under the bus either.

In general I think they require them to do way too much media. They have post-game when emotions are high and they're tired, and haven't watched film. Then multiple through the week. What's the point of that many interviews? They can't reveal strategy, and their minds are already preparing for the next week so why bother having them breakdown plays from 4 days ago. Fans complain when players have hobbies at night at home relaxing and they should be "focused on football," but I would argue having to do multiple interviews during practice time is a waste of time and energy. Let them practice and prepare.

Your last sentence is crazy because I thought that at the end of last week. I said to myself they’re gonna get Micah Parsons back. So that defense is gonna get better. If Jordan Love plays at the level he has this year, they arguably could be the best team in the NFC. I think they still need to get the running game going. I don’t trust their offensive line to hold up well enough all year. Imo they should’ve been in the Quentin Nelson market. I thought he would’ve massively helped that team.

I really think like you the Rams are the wildcard. But there’s gonna be one wildcard spot open. I think Minnesota is gonna drop out. It’s gonna come down to Seattle or the Rams getting that last wildcard. If the Rams get in, they’re very scary because they probably the healthiest they’ve been all year. Garrett would be back. And Adams would be back.

I saw that tweet. That felt very much like a Nick sirianni camp putting that out there. Because if he has players also wanted to move on then it doesn’t get all put on him/patullo from the other report that came out that he and Pattulo pissed him off. I have a hard time believing the offensive line who loved stoutland wanted a new running attack a year after they set an all-time record. That felt like a Nick Sirianni camp message to deflect the blame on stoutland and make it as if everybody was on board with that.

If you trust the Packers more, you haven't watched any Packers games. Right now they can't run the ball, and they're relying solely on big plays to keep drives going/scores. They are essentially the 2025 Eagles offensively.

It's that the other teams may all have worse issues. Minnesota has an oompa loompa playing QB. SF has injuries everywhere and a terrible gameday coach. Chicago has a mama's boy for a QB. Rams have injuries and the QB looks old. Sam Darnold remembered he's Sam Darnold. And me and you could score on the Detroit defense.

The NFC is wide open right now.

There is no world where I believe Mailata, Lane, Dickerson and Jurgens turned on Stoutland. None.

Yeah that's one story that is totally unbelievable. The O line loved Stout, they'd probably bury a body for him. Very loyal. They speak so highly of him and credit their success to him.

I find it very easy to believe that the players would want to change up the run game last year considering its utter ineffectiveness.

However, thats not the same as saying the players wanted a different coach in there doing it. So, both could be true. They wanted a different run scheme, but wanted Stoutland coaching it.

Yeah, I don’t either. I always ask the question who would benefit the most for mapping put out there. The person that it benefits the most having that piece of info out there is Nick. This is a lot of people saying right now if stoutland was there they are probably better than with Kuper. And then the report came out that it was him and his OC that pissed him off. Maybe the Eagles front office wanted that out there. But really I think it benefits Nick the most

I said weeks ago that Kuper should be fired, BUT I dont know it its even possible to fire an OL coach mid-season because who do you ever have to fill in that gap? Now with this guy available, I dont know what we are waiting for. I still dont think you can suddenly change the scheme mid-season, but youd think he can come in and do a better job at everything possible short of that.

Kelce soft launching the idea, nice.

Kuper is trash, fire him tomorrow and hire Paganetti.

The O line talent is worse than prior years obviously, but the young guys are getting a little better and it's obvious the blocking scheme is garbage. Quality, smart veteran players aren't all of a sudden missing blocks and allowing unblocked defenders free access to the backfield. They've said the scheme is that they don't think or adjust, they just have a simple blocking instruction and do it. Well that's awful and not working. Dickerson's body is broken but he's smart and tough and knows what he's doing. He's not out there being a moron all of a sudden. That's coaching.

It's an easy low hanging fruit move. It makes sense on paper.

Random thought but it would be an incredible continuation of his story if Jordan Mailata someday became an O line coach after learning the game from Stout.

Imo it’s not gonna improve immediately. I’d rather him be working with Bell and Kendall then Kuper. cause I think kuper is just a bad coach.

Looks like pagnetti has coached all the offensive positions almost but only spent 1 line as an assistant line coach under stoutland.

Maybe he could help kueper or the players with the scheme but would be hard to say

Yeah. I would hope to do it at the bye week and let TJ (who coached under Stout) work with the young guys, including Neal on the PS.

He was the assistant offensive line coach in 2017, 2018 and 2024.

Good research. Maybe hes better at every other position and there is a reason hes out of his OL job...

To be fair I did say thanks for the SBlol

I appreciate what he did, but the past two years he's been a liability and i blame the coaching staff for letting him play through it because he might have recovered better had they IR'ed him early last season. Same thing for Jurgens.

Absolutely, every week last year I questioned why both were even on the field, both should have been. IRed and I think playing them both through it was detrimental to the team and their long term health
