September 14Sep 14 It looked like even Johnson was struggling at times, which was surprising. I’m curious what the tape guys say about him. With his comments this O-line scheme was supposed to be much easier. Maybe he’s just getting acclimated to the changes.

September 14Sep 14 in pre-season the OL looked awesome but seemed to struggle with some blitz pickups. I figured that would be a problem for the starting unit who didnt even get any game reps. So stupid.... But we got away with it 6-0 in openers. Hopefully they can get it together quickly.

September 14Sep 14 Eagles averaged 22.3 points per game last year. Last I checked they scored 24 points today on 3 TDs thrown. Nice glimpses of what can be. And Devanta did nothing. We know that won't remain. Each week will be different.

If necessary, bench Jurgens. They are still adjusting to the new blocking scheme too so they can improve.
September 14Sep 14 Im done with Dicketson, hes washed, I appreciate his sacrifices and his really good play over the years but he looked as horrible today as he did all last year where he was one of the lowest rated starting guards in the league and Jurgens wasn't much betterIf he and jurgens dont start showing something its time to bench them and put in the healthier young guns

No preseason experience, they may need more time to get used to it.

A couple huge passes, one huge run, and some Hurts scampers. Can’t blame Hurts and really can’t blame Mannion either. Outside of Hurts and Goedert no one on offense won any matchups all day long. The "system” got short circuited on early downs. We just couldn’t stay on schedule. Between Barkley getting hit in the backfield, WR screens getting stuffed behind the LOS, and penalties the offense was constantly in third and long.I think the WR screens need to get scrapped. We just don’t have the personnel for it. We don’t have some freak RAC guy and we don’t have good blocking WRs. The interior OL needs to improve is the main thing. The other issue is we have 3 precision route running WRs who are sort of a finesse ball control style paired with a running/deep ball/big play type of QB, so there is a stylistic mismatch in skill sets.If Hurts can evolve his game to be more of a timing/precision passer it would help. With the receivers we have, we should be able to complete a lot of 5-7 passes on early downs. Get us in a position for easy third down conversions and unpredictable deep balls on 2nd down when we are ahead of schedule.
