I thought drafting a player with that kind of shelf life was a bad idea. It wasn’t. But extending him was.

Yup. I was against drafting him, and wanted Creed Humphrey instead. Dickerson paid off... but, yes, his shelf life was extremely limited. Resigning him wasn't the problem, but the contract itself was. Unless Howie put in a bunch of clauses about early retirement, IR stints or whatever, that's a bad contract. It should have had more escalators based on playing time or something. I don't think he's going to finish the season upright.

Man I know he’s had injuries but Dickerson looks so bad. He was unplayable today.

True. A few plays he just missed his guy completely. Not sure he can move well laterally anymore. Will be watching him next game.

With no preseason and a new offensive system, I’m going to reserve judgement until after the first month of the season.

But, with regards to play calling / design and OL performance, way worse today than what I thought we’d see even this early.

Coop wasn't even the best slot DB in today's game

You are correct. He was not, and I blame a lot of that on them working him in more at safety. He was the best slot DB the last two years... let him stay there and do what he does from that spot. Having him cross train seems to have hurt him.

Would have to think Howie has insurance on that contract. For a player with a known injury history...

I’m pretty sure they play Washington again

Big if true.

Y'all are acting like our offense scored ten points. We are 1-0 with a divisional win. Enjoy it. Jesus Christ the negativity. Very rarely do you blow out divisional rivals. And you don't get extra wins for it either.

I’m just bummed about the Oline because I don’t know how they fix it quickly.

Everything else I think will get better.

Not sure how you came up with that. It is a nickname based off my name.

I'd assume, he based it on "Lambeau field".

Nice W! All good. Redskins are gonna beat some teams here with a healthy Daniels and a revamped pressuring defense. Work in progress here and got some stuff to clean up.

Hurts saved the day with his legs. Skins played spirited and hard, as usual in these rivalry games. Don't like how Dickerson and Lemon fit right now. Like more Hollywood and Kendall at LG, which will happen when LD eventually throws in the towel. Just a matter of time. He's absolutely shot. Think they can figure this out. Hurts chemistry with Goedert and Wicks looking promising. Defense was gassed in 2nd half. Gonna have to to do better with that running game and throw the Tank in there. Think they will figure it out!

In the meantime, enjoy reading the Panicans who come in here after week 1 with their irrational opinions.

Ok, that’s asinine.

There are plenty of examples over the course of his career to point at and have an argument that he was an issue.

He was probably our best offensive player tonight, and there’s only a few that had good games. If you want to argue that you want to see more, fine. But an issue? That’s a joke.

Don't waste your time.

not only did he cross train but he changed his body composition. I was worried about that.

Remember when we fired the best O line coach in the league to hire the worst O line coach in the league…..good times 😒

From what I saw, they’re not using him any different. Just said some fancy words in the off season to ‘clarify’ his position. He was off today, seemed timid and lost. Weird game from him.

The first two Commander touchdowns featured a big scramble by Daniels. That was an issue last season. Ward and Williams can run around as well.

I think that’s part of the reason that Campbell got caught in no-man’s land on the long 3rd down conversion - he was more worried about #5 taking off then sticking tightly to the crosser.

Kendell and Little Lampkin. That's our only hope for the time being. And Markel Bell developing super fast.

I think he's always been a stronger zone defender than man defender. So what were seeing now is more of a regression to the mean. I'd also be curious to see how many snaps he got at S today, didn't seem like much at all.

From a fans perspective, the real purpose of week 1 is to escape with a win and then flaunt an ITYS for anything that jives with your offseason opinion and an "it’s early” for everything that doesn’t.

Dallas Goedert was the best offensive player by a mile

It was never mean to be. It was never going to be. I tried to explain that many many times. People dont get it.

It seemed like they ran a lot of nickel and 4-2-5. Wasn’t able to pay attention super close because the daughter was being a terrorist, but i didn’t notice too many 5 man fronts either.
