I don’t think we’re great but after watching these games I don’t think we’re screwed either

I saw Nick Foles today

If you paid money to go in to that stupid stadium, then even seeing Nick Foles doesnt make you cool.

I didnt watch the 2nd half. Im curious why Stetson Bennett got in to the game.

Why they ended up giving Corum as many carries as Kyren Williams. Its like they are just trying to make Corum a thing, just because.

I also notice that Myles Garrett did not even record a stat on the box score.

McVay is probably the most overrated coach in the league. He is the James Franklin of the NFL. His decisions cost his team games.

On top of being too conservative in today's NFL which has cost them games before,

Our super bowl year, he decided not to try to play for seeding when you could already see that the path they would end up taking was going to be by far the most difficult path possible. They of course did not make it to the super bowl then.

Now, he decides to fly all the way to Australia the day before kickoff, and the whole team predictably looks cooked.

Why am I not surprised that it's your dumb ass with this post?

Your stadium sucks. Sorry you don't realize.

Its hilarious the rams and Patriots both got embarrassed, but I put no stock into week1 games. Especially these stupid Wednesday/Thursday games. I watched neither because these midweek games are almost always awful and I don’t support the NFL shoving slop football down my throat. But they probably got millions of views so they'll just keep doing it until there's a football game every single night

He’s outcome for the Eagles possible so far.

The Eagles are gonna whoop the Commanders ace

With under 4 minutes left, the starters were pulled since they were several scores behind.

I turned last night's game off after Deebo scored. I was already kind of falling into a food coma, and once I saw it was essentially going to be a blow out I didn't want to waste any more time on that awful game.

Dome Patrol?

Saints LBs from the early 90's. Only one I remember by name was Pat Swilling, and maybe Sam Mills too.

A cricket ground really isn't the best setup for a NFL game.

I know 2 people who live in Melbourne at the game - this is their views from the seats.

The second one is far away though he tells me, he is sitting next to an Eagles fan. We are everywhere!

That answered the question I had - I've seen enough cricket on TV from the MCG that other than stadium capacity, didn't seem a logical choice for fans attending.

Quite disorienting watching a daytime NFL game at 9pm

It is. Its even weirder going to a game at 1pm when you are used to 6pm/9pm starts.

Corum is coming for Kyren’s job

Does it being Wednesday/Thursday matter week 1? They’ve had months to prepare

I liked Corum in college, but there is no reason to be looking to replace Kyren. That's dumb.

This is fair, though I thought it was fascinating. But I’m partial to spectacle events. Thought the UFC event at the White House was logistically intriguing as well.

Hopefully Mat's tickets came with a complimentary telescope. Otherwise he didnt really "see" Nick Foles.

I know there’s this sense that Marcus Epps is just this veteran JAG that the Eagles should replace, and that’s true to a degree. But I’ve thought, especially in 2-high, that he was rock solid and I love the violence he plays with. Dude has some kill shots on his highlight reel, yet he plays under control.

I'm comfortable with Epps as a stopgap, but like Reed he'll have some physical limitations when isolated in coverage. The flip side of the violence is that he's become injury prone, so it's good we have Carter II available.

Yeah, exactly. I don’t know how many of you travel across the globe, but SF made the right decision by getting there a week ahead of time. LA got there almost at the last minute. What was McVay thinking? Bone-headed decision.

Plus, SF has been under the radar all off-season, but they got Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, and Kittle back. Plus, Mike Evans—assuming he stays healthy—is the best WR they’ve had in years.

They’re the biggest threat to the Eagles this year.

LA is over-hyped.

SF had a lot of time to prepare for this one game. Shanahan again showed his over-the-top conservatism by kicking the FG on his first drive in a game he should have anticipated that kicking FGs against the Rams would be a losing strategy. Who knew the Rams would look so slow and unprepared? As for the Niner names that are listed...all are old with significant injury histories...good luck with them holding up over such a long season with a much harder schedule than last years cupcake schedule.

The vibe I got from X is it was weird to see a game in the day time morning out there; like it is here, you get conditioned to games at certain times. But it was a positive experience. Same here, I do like special events; just fascinating seeing the stadium in different contexts.

I'll be interested to see if the NFL do a Perth game at some point as the timezone aligns better with Europe

Yeah it’s crazy to have a game on a Friday morning local time haha
