Hopefully Greenard's injury when he comes back is over and done with and doesn't linger. I suspect it's why they aren't rushing him back even though he's practicing.

So apparently, the OL never knew what was going on last year, especially with the running game. They were never on the same page. This is on Petullo. See article on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

EDIT: I tried adding the link via the phone app but it's not working.

No reason to rush Greenard against the Redskins. Or Titans for that matter. Have solid depth there this year. They have irresponsibly played way too many guys for too many snaps, who were hurt like N.Smith, J. Carter, Dickerson & Jurgens. Rather have a backup playing at 100% than the corpse of a starter. Unless it's Matt Pryor...

It's become an underlying theme of the franchise. The 6 and 8 on their jerseys are often indistinguishable.

Here's the article: https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/offensive-line-changes-excitement-sean-mannion-2026-cam-jurgens-lane-johnson-jordan-mailata/750587/

This is ridiculous - Patullo was a disaster

Of all the conversations I had in the building last season, one theme was overwhelmingly consistent from week to week. The offensive line was not on the same page as the coaching staff and the offensive line was not on the same page as the running back room.

The result? An offense that was inept for much of the season.

"We have no idea what they are doing back there,” one offensive lineman told me about the running backs during Week 12, as the Eagles were preparing for a road game against the Cowboys.

For most of the offseason the story was how far behind he was in his recovery.

One day the switch flipped and he started getting hyped as a great value in fantasy football and potentially a top WR supposedly looking amazing. I dont know how it changed that quickly. Maybe it was fake news cause now he might not be ready.

His comments about his recovery just seem off unless the surgical repair wasn't great.

I've mostly been a Sirriani supporter, but him seeing this disaster last year and not stepping in really bothered me.

I said it last year in the middle of the season. Now the article confirms just how bad things were.

I don't care how bad Nick is at play calling, as the "leader" of the team, he should have stepped in and taken over. Couldn't have been worse.

Woudla, coulda, shoulda. Obviously it wasn’t as bad as last year, but Nick let Moore figure it out the year they won a SB. The year prior he stepped in and made changes on both sides and it imploded. He should have fixed the behind the scenes things at least. Granted there was a few of us who saw by week 3 that Patullo was completely lost and couldn’t get plays in in time, let alone sequence. Moore was just trying to do too much and the team simply wasn’t effective till late in the season. Last year is last year.

McVay is hailed as a great coach...and we just hired a guy to run the McVay/Shanahan system. Let's hope Mannion puts it all together!

I think Stafford is just getting old, they drafted his replacement in the first.

The Rams have been hyped and overrated for a couple years at least now. Will be interesting to see how they recover the rest of the season.

What McVay lacks is nerve. He folds under pressure.

Rams looked old. And are old. They are the 31st oldest team in league. Only trailing the Falcons. I think this is an overhyped team with some fatal flaws. Felt like that about Eagles last year. They are in big trouble.

Howie learned his lesson with the "dream team."

Can't fall in love with your players, it's the what will you do for me the next three years, not what you did the last three years that matters.

He definitely is super conservative, but the past 9-10 seasons have conditioned us to expect to be hyper aggressive. Doug started the aggressive decision craze in the NFL. Nick has taken it to another level. McVay seems a bit more traditional. Though it seems like he kind of shuts down in big moments at times.

That’s the Rams FO strategy though. They mirror their host city baseball counterpart in a lot of ways. They have bought/traded for their success for the most part. Only a small part is from the pipeline/developing and drafting. They’ve traded away their 1st rounder 9 out of the past 10 years. They got a ring out of it…and have been on the cusp of more.

Patullo made things worse by running his mouth as well.

So funny how "other sources” in the AJ snitch articles seems to be Patullo and the "other sources” in the Patullo snitch articles seem to be AJ. 🤣

Patullo was over his head, but the bigger problem was the OL simply couldn't run Stoutland's running scheme.

It was very talent dependent, he did a great job of coaching up good talent into great talent, but he didn't do a good job turning mediocre talents into serviceable players for the most part - less a matter of coaching than the scheme which depended on OL winning one on one battles consistently, which they did when healthy.

The power running game made life easier on talented WRs, get Brown and Smith one on one b/c safeties and LBs are cheating to stop the run.

When they didn't have to cheat, the passing game was exposed.

Yeah, I said it last year. Clear indictment on Sirriani, IMO.

Comparing to Kellen Moore is crazy. It was obvious from game 1 that year that Kellen was the real deal.

It was equally as obvious early in the season that Patullo was a disaster.

The leader of the team should have stepped in.

Often, I thought Jurgens and Dickerson were awful and obviously not healthy last year. Literally turnstiles. I frequently commented about it on this forum. But in addition to not being healthy, it now looks like they literally had no idea what the hell to do out there.

I said obviously last year was worse. However it’s not crazy…lost in the fact that we won the SB was that for 10 weeks the O couldn’t sustain drives, didn’t adjust well and was being carried by Saquon ripping off a big run or 2 a game. They made a small adjustment early in the season to simplify the passing attack and go run heavy at the behest of the OL. It incrementally got better after the bye week before their eye opener against the jags. Had Dean not made that ridiculous int to seal the game it’s not a stretch to say we would have seen a repeat of the season prior. After the jags game it was a completely different O.

I called for patullos head after week 3. It never happened. And here we are.

I’m not saying Moore should have been replaced at all. I’m saying that all 3 years at rhe half way point of the season this was a team with SB aspirations playing at a level that wasn’t sustainable with that goal. Year 1 drastic changes were made. It imploded. Year 2, small changes and magically things clicked. Year 3, as much as I wanted Patullo gone week 3 and on. We don’t know what happened behind the scenes. Given the history, not making a drastic change isn’t really that out of normal thinking.

We have a lot to learn about SM but if he does well they need to trade Nick like the Raiders did with Gruden and keep him.
