September 11Sep 11 It was harmless BS up until this point, but if both of them are active on Sunday then I'm gonna be pissed. They'd just be wasting an active spot on the roster to keep this charade going to maybe get a 7th round pick in a month. It's absurd.
September 11Sep 11 Author Only 2 players in the injury report. Only 2 players lost for the season (Wilson and Sam). Only 2 players on IR - designated for return (Bennett and Calcaterra).Whatever they are doing is working.
September 11Sep 11 I think the Rams loss had as much to do with sniffing their own rear ends as much as the travel. They've been pumped up so excessively by the pundits that it was a very easy job for Shanahan to motivate his team. Just show them all the press clippings, make a few comments to his team for effect, wind them up, and turn them loose at opening kickoff.
September 11Sep 11 Week one can mean absolutely nothing but the Rams looked old. (Besides shoulder biter)
September 11Sep 11 Rams looked old. And are old. They are the 31st oldest team in league. Only trailing the Falcons. I think this is an overhyped team with some fatal flaws. Felt like that about Eagles last year. They are in big trouble.

September 11Sep 11 Dalton and McKee can both dress.3rd QB can be given an emergency designation. Can be listed as inactive with an emergency designation before the game. They dress as a 49th player without using up a standard active gameday slot. So, it's really a non issue and taking up no one's spot on game day.

September 11Sep 11 Just now, Connecticut Eagle said:Yeah. But the optics of who is 2 vs 3 will be talked/written about ad nauseum. That's fine. Howie is waiting for a desperate team that loses a QB somewhere down the line. Rather than just cut someone now and automatically get nothing. I have no problem with that. Neither QB has really stepped up, so they quietly continue this jockeying throughout the start of the season, while Payton is not ready yet. We know Howie loves keeping the QB factory churning.

September 11Sep 11 58 minutes ago, NOTW said:Their defense was not elite last year tbh. Had some games where they looked like it (1st Seahawks game, holding jags to 7 points). However, their defense once everybody started crowning them, began to go the opposite way. That Carolina game in week 13 where they just completely imploded was the starting point. Because after that moment, the only teams they played well defensively were against the Cardinals and that Bears NFC divisional game. Which frankly shouldn’t even been close, except for the fact the defense allowed them to make an improbable comeback in that game so they were bad in crunch time Their defense had issues at corner and linebacker. Their pass rush was really good, but it wasn’t good enough to completely overcome those two things. Frankly, their linebackers still stink. McDuffie is a good corner but paid a lot to acquire and sign him. I don’t think Watson is bad but i also don’t think he’s great either. Upgrade to what they had. really pff kind of nailed it he was really good as a run defender in 2025 (83) but slightly above avg defending the pass (69). I still think they’re gonna wind up being roughly around fringe top 10 as the year goes on. Some of this is week 1, dumb travel schedule and niners play them well offensively every time. I do think when they made that Garrett trade, I said I liked it more for Cleveland than I did for the Rams. I think Jared verse is still young and there’s upside there that he can get to another level. Also cheaper at the moment. Ultimately, I think Garrett is gonna be OK and he’s gonna be really good. But there is also the potential that he’s never as good as he was in Cleveland. you weren’t trading for him to be very good, you were trading for him to be defensive player of the year and all-time sack king for a regular season Garrett. If he’s not that he’s just very good then the trade you made was essentially getting maybe an upgrade from verse and you wanted a major upgrade from verse if you were paying that price.Their SB goals relies on their offense being prolific. There’s some things that worry me with that team. First Matt Stafford‘s older. The fact that he played as well as he did last year and at the level coming off him dealing with back issues during the offseason was pretty remarkable. Also remarkable he stayed healthy all year. He is now 38 years old. Now we’ve seen it with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers play at an elite level late in their careers, but we’ve also seen those guys eventually just decline at some point and not be anywhere close to what they used to be. It’s not like he’s incapable of just falling off the cliff at any moment. Secondly, Puka nacua all off-season has been a pain in the ass. Frankly, he was a pain in the ass towards the end of last year too with stuff off the field. As great of a wide receiver as he is, he has consistent been finding himself in a spotlight he doesn’t want. Lastly, with everything on their offense when the news came out that they were trying to trade for AJ Brown then it came out that they were gonna trade Adams if they did that I can’t imagine that sat well with Adams. I get he probably understands the business. But if you’re gonna have that leak out then you better get it done. Cause I could see him not being thrilled about that and carrying it into that locker room.
September 11Sep 11 The Rams defense isn't good. Their back 7 sucks. Their DL is good. It was laughable that people were rattling them off among the "elite defenses" before the season, but propaganda will do that to ya.
September 11Sep 11 1 hour ago, NOTW said:Their weakness on D has been up the middle. They added a CB and a DE. So did nothing to address the weakness in the middle. Their offense struggled for large portions of pretty much every game despite all the talent. They are mostly the same team from last year. Beatable if the rest of the league wasnt in such rough shape. We are in the era of the mediocre QB where D and run games win games. Except, while every team has their own mediocre QB, not every team has the D and run game to win them games. So that makes a team like the rams, and like the patriots look good.
